There is a story behind it lol I promise I'll tell it quick! SO way back when I used to work in office we had food truck Tuesday's during the summers and that's where I first discovered their super delicious grilled cheese sandos and mac and cheese. Because I worked in Oakville/Burlington area though I thought I'd never really see them again after covid but then lo and behold I saw their name as one of the vendors and I legit cried! I literally ran over to the truck to get my favourite menu item called "two little piggies" which is the bacon and jalapeño grilled cheese sandwich with a side of the bacon and jalapeño mac and cheese One bite and I knew I was in my happy place lolol but to use more descriptive words I would say this sando is PACKED with flavour, you would think not because it's essentially just grilled cheese but these guys really took the concept of grilled cheese and levelled it UP! Even though it has jalapeños I feel like it's not too spicy because the creamy cheese, crunchy, salty bacon and toasted bread definitely balances it out! The mac and cheese has the exact same flavour with perfectly done macaroni and everything ties in together just perfect *chef's kiss* Thank you to the kind woman working at the truck who bought me a drink because she could see the love I had in my eyes for their food lolol sorry I don't remember her name now but it just made my day and she deserves a shoutout! Hoping they can come back to Mississauga soon, you can find their truck all over the GTA and hire them for special events. Trust me they are highly recommended, check them out y'all!

Came across Urban BBQ at CNT. Without online access to Yelp my stomach around, decided to join in…read morethe longer line (one of the more popular trucks in the fair) and ordered the pulled pork classic + brisket poutine. Brisket poutine - The (undrenched) fries were crunchy and well seasoned. Wished we ordered regular fries instead - The beef gravy was runny and flavorless. All it did was sogged up the best part. They were also pretty stingy in portioning the brisket and cheese curds. Brisket I understand but cheese curds too? In addition, the brisket reminded me more of beef jerky - chewy and dry. Pulled pork classic - $2 dollar more than competing trucks but was served with fries. The sandwich was underdressed. The pulled pork was overcooked and tough. The bun was not toasted. Not the worst sandwich but there are just so many better options around! Overall - Urban BBQ is the prime example why I usually frown upon getting foods from food trucks - Overpriced, small portion, mediocre foods.

We held a fundraising event and this truck was at our venue. I would like to give them a 4.5. The…read more.5 was lost because they ran out. They ran out of fries by the afternoon and it made me sad. But, aside from that mishaps, I love their cajun fries! It was crispy and flavourful and I wanted more! They had some sort of sauce drizzled on it and it just made everything even better. They also had fish taco, fish and chips. I found the fish and chips to be a bit overpriced (they weren't raising the price due to our fundraising), but, I guess it's still something good to try. I hope to catch them again sometime.

Tried this food truck at AwesTRUCK 2015 at Mississauga Celebration Square. Ordered the "Deep…read moreSouth," which consists of two pieces of fried chicken topped with slaw and sauce and sandwiched between two waffles. The chicken was well-seasoned, moist, and lightly battered and fried to a perfect crisp. The slaw, which was crunchy with a light creamy dressing, provided a nice fresh counterbalance to the fried chicken, but it could have used some more acidity. Their house sauce added just a touch of spiciness, which helped round out the flavours. The only disappointment for me were the waffles. I was expecting freshly made (or, at the very least, made from scratch) waffles, but instead the sandwich came with two things that were very much reminiscent of Eggo waffles in both appearance and taste. Service was friendly and quick. Overall, this could have been a 4 star review, but I had to downgrade it to 3 stars because of the waffle-disappointment.

The food on this set of wheels is a mix of Columbian and Floridian inspiration. It's a very simple but delicious menu with a jerk chicken sandwich, a porchetta sandwich, and a Columbian hamburger. I went with the porchetta sandwich. The sandwich comes topped with caramelized onions and pickled banana peppers. Also included on the side are kettle cooked chips topped with a creamy horseradish sauce. The pork was nice and juicy and was a good sized portion. I'm not huge on horseradish but I liked the sauce as I found the flavour to not be overpowering. Overall a great spend for $8.

Chicken was very tender had a soft bun and came with some chips topped with yogurt. The sandwich was quite tasty, but it wasn't spicy. I think I would describe it as a "chicken brisket". Still good though. $8 is expensive, but all food trucks are. Still, pretty good though.

The poutine was definitely not the best poutine I ever had and definitely not the worse. But the ranking of this poutine definitely came pretty close down at the bottom of my ranking. The fries were very tasty. Fried to perfection and it had a nice crispy to it. The cheese was the disappointment. They didn't use cheese curd. On top, the gravy was nothing special. On top, the poutine was somewhat cold. The jerk chicken was interesting. I thought I ordered Jamican food but it turned out something different. I was not sure if this was supposed to be a Korean dish or Jamican. Anyways, the dish itself was somewhat cold when I got it. The jerk chicken was somewhat dry. Strange was that it was served with kimchi, corn and some green drizzled on top was spicy mayo sauce. So I felt like it had a bit of Japanese, Jamican and a bit of Korean. I don't think the flavor went well together. They were somewhat skimpy on the jerk chicken. I was told by a colleague that their fusion tacos (instead of tortilla, they used roti) are really good. Maybe next time I try this food truck, I will get that instead. Anyways, I do not recommend getting the Jerk chicken here.

I heard their food is pretty legit so I had to try it out for myself and I wasn't disappointed. The service is okay and the line was long- so you'll wait 10-15mins for your food. I tried the DiNics with fries and gravy. The DiNics is their pull pork sandwich with onion and spinach. It was pretty good; I wish they had it in flat bread because I thought the bread kind of over powered the stuffing. Other than that the DiNics was delicious. Their fries were okay but it was their gravy that made the fries amazing. The gravy was just right and complimented the fries.. I probably wouldn't enjoy the fries as much if I didn't add the gravy to it. Verdict: A must try!

Street meat seems like the perfect solution to my hunger pangs. There's a few people ordering but not too busy so I make the stop. A Quick look at the menu.... Three types of sausage on a bun (Polish, Italian, German). Beef or chicken hotdogs. Veggie dogs. Burgers and fries advertised as fresh cut. I combo up a polish sausage with some fries and a drink. Total $13.50 cash. They do take some plastic it seems but maybe you would pay a service charge for that. I'm a cash guy so no matter to me. As I'm waiting I notice that the toppings are not sitting out... self serve style. I'm not sure how I feel about that. My food comes up. He asks me what I want on my sausage and fries. After he is done with the final preparation I take my food back to the car to evaluate. So first off the fries are definitely fresh cut. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I asked for ketchup and there was a sufficient pool for my needs. So far so good. The sausage turns out to be perfectly dressed. Good amounts of all my selected toppings. They are fresh and the bun has a good crust but is soft and fresh. The sausage itself seems to be of good quality. It's been scored nicely creating crispy edges and bite sized segments. Best of all it actually tastes Smokey and grilled. The can of pop was ice cold which I appreciate. So to wrap up... I can't say there is even a single thing to complain about. Price, quality, service all above average. I'll remember this place most for the value and quality of the food. The service was good but unremarkable. For a hot dog/chip truck it's definitely a 9/10. I went to the Good Food & Drink Festival at the Direct Energy Center the other day and was pleased…read moreto discover that there was a "food truck alley" which consisted of some of my favourite Toronto food trucks, one of which was Blue Donkey Streatery. I have gone to this truck quite a few times in the summer last year and all of my experiences have been great. The design of their food truck is pretty cool and very noticeable (especially with the bright blue). It's got a funky but clean look and a mascot that is playful but not too childish. Every time I catch a glimpse of a bright blue truck parked on the street curb my stomach grumbles with excitement knowing that it might be the large vehicle that carries delicious food that I desire. I'm always surprised that there is never a long lineup, especially since I've heard so many great things about their food. I have never had to wait long at this truck. The service is great, the staff members are always friendly & jovial. I've ordered the calamari pita & chicken gyro (on separate occasions!). They are both VERY LARGE in size and jam packed with savoury goodness so you definitely get your moneys worth...just try not to drop the fillings on the floor while you are eating it! I prefer the calamari pita to the chicken gyro but that is because I am a huge seafood lover. This pita consists of my two favourite appetizers all wrapped up in a deep fried present for my stomach and taste buds: calamari & french fries! (Yes, there are french fries in this wrap.) The calamari rings are breaded and fried to a crispy perfection. The calamari itself was not too chewy or rubbery however the size of the rings makes it awkward to eat it in a wrap. It's definitely a sit down meal not something you can chow down while walking back to your office. The sauce is not the traditional tzatziki sauce that I've had at some typical Mr Greek chain restaurants. It's not as tangy or overly garlicky but it's definitely sweeter. It is still very tasty and a good complement to the salty fried calamari and French fries. The pita itself is quite palatable. I find some flour pitas I've had give off a bitter after taste but this one did not and it appeared as though they were slightly seasoned with a reasonable amount of garlic butter. Note: This pita should be eaten right away; if you hold off the fries will get soggy and will not be as appetizing as a fresh wrap. The chicken gyros was pretty good too. It consisted of french fries, shredded BBQ chicken and some veggie fixings. The chicken was juicy and very well seasoned. The sauce and pita were similar to the calamari pita. A delicious meal but I prefer seafood any day. Overall, 4 stars. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would say the prices are on the same range as other "gourmet" food trucks in Toronto but the portion sizes are substantially larger than what other food trucks are dishing out. I would like to try other things on their menu such as their poutine however every time I have gone to this truck the menu has been very limited. Hope I have better luck this summer!
