New menu as the Burek Shop - so we ordered a spinach and cheese along with apricot crepes. Both were great. The burek is thicker (particularly in the middle) here and that provides a different experience in terms of flake/chew and keeping contents moist. Diameter wise it seems like a small burek, but because it sits high, it was enough for us to share among three plus the crepes. Can sodas are going to cost you $2.50 and I think they are sticking with bottled water otherwise as any cheaper option to keep things simple in the kitchen. You're allowed to parking in the lot north of the shop where the White Castle is during the week (daytime only). Otherwise drive around the block and there's usually parking on the one way Thorndale south of the resto. read more

Their Bereks are delicious! We had a meat (hamburger) Berek and a spinach and cheese one. The two would easily have fed 4 people. The crust was flaky and delicious and the inside was hot and perfect. The owner was delightful to talk to and served us quicklunch. Cute little lunch place. read more

Please, please visit this restaurant! It's so authentic Grandma makes Serbien-inspired food every day by herself and it tastes great. These are the places Yelp was founded for. To find new places that need our support. Make sure granny is busy. She serves regular breakfast but lunch and dinner are where her menu shines. Most items are made I. House especially the regional Serbian dishes like cevapi (little meatballs made to little Rolls) or the original Serbian hamburger pljeskavica. And always ask for Aiwa - a traditional condiment made from roasted red peppers. So good for any grilled meat. I had the cevapi for lunch - it comes with the biggest portion of fries and homemade cabbage salad - ask for Aiwa!! And I needed to come back for dinner and there I'll have grilled chicken with peppers and onions just house made with crispy chicken pieces made from chicken breast. Just like ma or grandma! Fresh from the pan/ grill. Also, her portions can feed a small family so please make sure you come hungry. And then for dessert the Serbian version of a crepe. I am pretty sure it might be older than crepes. And for sure better. More like a German pancake a rich dough filled with jam, eurokrem, or Nutella. Oh, I almost forgot just like at grandma's house there is always a fresh cup of tea or a coffee and it's on the house when you eat inside, and if you are a policeman or firefighter stop by any time and say hi. Coffee is always free for you guys - she is so thankful. And if she is not putting enough food on the plate already every lunch or dinner dish comes with house-made bread, butter, banana, and a little dessert (like a small sandwich roll). You will come hungry and 3M will never leave you hungry. it isn't my restaurant but I can promise it! Some say it's pricy - but it is not! You get an appetizer and desert with every meal and the portions are huge and you can take them home if you can finish them. It is a very fair price for that all! Had the cheese burek which was excellent. Flaky crust and lots of filling. The lady working was so friendly and sweet. Definitely recommend. Will return for the other flavors. If you haven't heard of or tried burek then give this a try. read more

The lady who owns and runs it is super sweet and is very helpful. They do not do a buffet anymore but the crepe was good and the burek was good. We had a cheese one and it's similar to a blintz but still unique. They have 7 different flavors and I would assume the pepperoni pizza one would be delicious. I came here for a buffet lunch and absolutely loved it!!!! The stars for me were the traditional beans, polish sausage, corn, rice pilaf, corn dogs (yummy , just like they made them in grade school! This was an awesome restaurant with really great Burke. We had two savory ones one sweet and split it between 4 adults and it was plenty. Good prices and the restaurant was really clean. Delicious!! I just had the spinach and cheese burek, and it is amazing. Finally, the real deal! The apricot crepes were also excellent. I'm thrilled that the "bun" I ordered is a fresh mini loaf of bread - a smaller version of what my mom used to make growing up. I'm too full to try the complimentary nutella crepe, but that was a nice surprise. I had everything delivered to me in Lakeview, so I imagine it's even better served in the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes! I'm especially excited to try the poppy seed strudel when it's available. read more

I agree with every 5-star rating. The buffet is fantastic. It has a variety of proteins, such as sausage, pork, chicken, and fish. The vegetable dishes are made with fresh broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, and potatoes. Sweet potatoes were on today's menu, and they were very good, and so was the corn on the cob. It was sweet and tender. The buffet comes with soup and salad, and an assortment of homemade breads. All in all, I am very pleased and I will be back to the 3M Restaurant. read more

Went to 3M for lunch yesterday - 1st time visit. Overall, my meal was very good. There were so many choices, I could only try a few. My favorites were the chicken liver & onions, the baked fish, the sausage (two kinds), sweet potato casserole, steamed vegetables, roasted peppers, baked beans and lemon cake. It was obvious that these were all homemade family recipes and just delicious. My main complaint is that some of the dishes weren't very hot which is always a challenge for buffet service. I also would have liked a few more salad toppings like radishes, celery, etc. I'm not in this area very often but I'll definitely dine there again when I am. read more

Delicious!! This is a hidden gem. We stopped here for breakfast on our way out of Chicago. It's the kind of hole-in-the-wall diner that you hope for in a big city.
