Bocce was fun. I like the remote scoring. Courts could be a bit more level. Food was ok. Bar food. Nothing to rave about. Service was slow and bartender tried to stiff me for an extra $10 on the tab. Ordered two drinks and used my card as I went to pay, she gave me only the credit card receipt with the total of $25. No itemized receipt breaking down the $25. Seemed like a bit much for a beer and rail drink. I Asked for itemized and, lo and behold, the bill dropped to $15. This isn't the first time that this has happened to me. This is a recent practice that many local Reno bartenders are pulling. I'm not too keen. Always ask for an itemized receipt. They definitely ticked me off and lost a star or two for this cheap and classless behavior. read more

I did not try bocce on the date but I have tried it previously with my family and it's great way to enjoy a weekend. Attended a company holiday party and was pleasantly surprised on so many levels. The employees were at the front door to greet people walking in. I visited Bundox Bocce on a Sunday afternoon and bocce games happen to be free on Sunday afternoons! We grabbed two beers and enjoyed a few rounds of bocce. Neither of us had played before, but there were instructions on the wall and it was easy to pick up as we went. Considering there is free play every Sunday, you'd expect this place to be really busy and packed with families. While I still admit that it was a beautiful and sunny afternoon in Reno and it also happened to be the same day as the NFL conference championships, I was surprised it wasn't busier. While I had a great time playing bocce and will definitely be back to check out some of the arcade games available, I was a little disappointed by the food and drink options. The food seemed overpriced for what it was and none of the appetizers seemed particularly great to snack on between meals. The cocktail menu was all over the place. They had green tea shots listed as a cocktail? Luckily, there were enough standard beer options on tap for us to each enjoy a beer ($16 for two 16 oz pours) while we played. We went on a Saturday around 130pm and had a easy time getting a court. There was 6 of us and you can play up to 3 teams at once so we divided into teams of 2 people. The basic concept is you roll a small silver ball and this is the ball you try to get the rest of the balls closest too. The game itself is self paced and relaxing. You rent the court by the hour and we played for about 2 hours. A host/waiter will help you get set up and takes and brings any drink and or food orders. Our host was really friendly and helped with any questions or issues we had. The space is large with about 7 bocce courts, a large bar, video games, and pool tables. I've been here many times and it is a great space overall. However, the pool tables are horrible. Warped cue sticks, no bridge, no chalk and balls get stuck inside and have to constantly as for assistance to get them out. One table is lopsided and needs to be leveled. It's pricey to play bocce ball, currently at $30 for 50 minutes. This place has a lot of potential if they'd make some improvements with their equipment and lounge furniture. read more

5 stars for late night snacks and drinks! I think they redid their menu and some of the new additions were a delight. We got the pretzel and the quesadilla, and while I only tried the dilla, it was all I needed. They took it up a notch with the addition of grilled onions and mushrooms and it really made it shine! We arrived here Late night, the bartender was pretty busy... The kitchen closes at 9 PM however you can enjoy the fun till midnight Pool tables, bocce courts, Air hockey, video games... Full bar. And if you arrive before 9 PM there's even some good food. We had already been out to dinner and I just wanted a cocktail. We went to the shore lounge, had an extremely long wait for the bartender Hazelgreen, so we decided to meander over to the bocce courts. It was a great decision. What we ordered: Cadillac margarita on the rocks with salt Pisco Punch So the punch was a little bit sour, my wife brought it back to the bartender and ask for him to sweeten it. He was very helpful. My wife and I had some fun at the air hockey table as well as the giant Pac-Man game. I must warn you, playing this giant machine is a dollar a person and the game is a bit rigged. I have played Pac-Man since it actually first came out, and this one's hopped up and by the third set, they go supernova and kill you. I wish it would've been the old style, but it was still fun. She was very quick to respond to communication and even provided suggestions and tips for organization of tables and decorations. On the night of the event, the manager, Shakira, checked in with me about every hour to see how things were going. There is a minimum food order and the food was delicious and very nicely displayed. Bundox means a remote and forgotten location...but this cool place is anything but forgotten! I popped in to check it out. It is located on the backside of the Renaissance Hotel. The outdoor Bocci Ball courts are beautiful with many orange umbrellas and turquoise soft seating with tables and chairs as well. The inside of Bundox Bocci is truly inspiring! Just look up!!! What a beautiful place! The Bar itself, is said to be the longest Bar in Reno and Bundox Bocci has so much indoor seating for Bocci Ball, watching sports, playing games and family fun. There is a 2nd level that connects to the Renaissance Hotel where Hotel Guests can walk out and look down on all the Bocci courts and Epic Bar. I came in and met Mariano, the Bartender. His signature drink is called a Hot Mommy. I will have to try this! He recommended a Garlic Cheese Pizza...and so I ordered it! Thank you to Chefs Justin & Ned. It was so delicious. A very good choice. I didn't get to stay and play, but I will come back with my family for Bocci Ball fun, pool, ping pong, and video games to play! Bundox Bocci also has many many large screen tv's for sports viewing while you are playing Bocci Ball or games.
