I first contacted them via yelp, along with 3-4 other places rather not put them on blast but BumperDoc in Santee was by far the best price with the best warranty. I got a quote special through yelp for 9 windows lifetime warranty and my rear tail lights to be blacked out with a 5 year warranty. Showed up 2 weeks later on my appointment date stayed true to my quote I received via yelp. Also Brandon went to explain the back drops of tint and tinting tail lights. He went threw the steps on how to take care of tint and the tail lights also told me if I ever hand a problem just bring it in and even gave me some tips about if I run in with the law ;) these guys are top notch will defiantly be bring my other cars to this location. I went in for window tinting using Groupon. The deal was for 5 REAR windows. So the back window, two side doors, and two small windows on those rear windows (which my car didn't have). I was offered a deal instead of paying full price for the two front windows- but the only bad thing was I ended up paying more than if I were to just go in and ask for 5 windows tinted instead of using Groupon. I learned my lesson.... I'm leaving 5 starts because the service for the tint was spectacular just like it was when I saw them for window tint over 5 years ago. No bubbles, no marks. I highly recommend this place instead of the other location on Convoy St. We just had a tint job done for our CRV and it was done really well...unlike the other place which left bubble pockets in my other car. In addition, they're also good on time. We had an appointment for 10am and the owner said it would be done in 2 hours...believe or not, they actually delivered as stated and respected the appointment time. The one on Convoy st is the type to schedule an appointment for me at 10am, work on it at 1230 and have it done by 4-5pm and then have me come back for rework on a crappy tint job with a similar lengthy timeline. I've been here twice. Once before new ownership took over, and once after. I had my bumper repaired by Buddy and his team. A couple years passed and I noticed bubbling in the repair area. I knew that they had a lifetime guarantee on paintwork, so I called to see what they could do about it. The new owner said that since he wasn't the one who did the repair, he couldn't honor the guarantee. I didn't think this was fair, since they still operate under the Bumper Doc franchise. It shouldn't matter who is managing it. I went ahead and contacted their corporate office, and Jeff asked to see some pictures of the bubbling. Within a day, I was told that the repair was 100% covered and I could go ahead and setup an appointment. Appointment day came. I dropped my car off in the morning and I was the last customer to leave in the evening. When I picked up the car, there was a lot of compound left on the bumper, so I was left with a bunch of white streaks that I couldn't wash off for at least two weeks. Not a big problem, but it could bother some people. I waited to write this review to see how the repair would hold up. Everything looks good so far, except the repaired side is a little duller looking than the rest of the bumper. So it's not perfect like the first repair looked, but better than the bubbling. Only time will tell whether this paint will bubble up too. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a quick fix for bumper damage. I don't think my experience is typical, but corporate handled everything very quickly. I'm only giving three stars because prices are much higher now than before, and because I had to insist on getting it fixed under the guarantee. read more

The staff is extremely friendly and they do great work. I had my windows tinted last year and was told to bring my my car back if any peeling occurred. Sadly the rear window started to peel, but they honor their warranty and fixed it free of charge. I will definitely bring my other vehicles here. She showed up for her 8AM appointment and was out in 2 hours. Not only did Keith (the installer) do a great job, but Buddy in the front office offered to tint the extra, smaller windows for an additional, reasonable cost. I've never had my windows tinted before, but I have to say they did an exceptional job! The gentleman explained the different tint levels, what is legal and everything was done on time. The process took 3 hours and the job has a lifetime warranty. I purchased a Groupon for $125 for 5 windows. Normal price is $45 per window. I would definitely recommend this business. Took my truck there for a minor repair, were able to get it right in and looked great. About 2 months later noticed paint had cracked off where they did the repair, took it right in and showed Buddy. First thing out of his mouth did I hit a rock or something else, no physical damage just the paint coming off, took over a week to get it in and all day to get it fixed. Funny so quick to do it the first time but when something goes wrong the customer service goes out the door. Had gone back for other repairs but will never go back again. I had a 40 foot ladder dropped on my car by the guys installing my solar. Luckily the dent was pretty small. I've used bumper doc before and I use to service them when I worked at enterprise. I bought my FR-S in 2013 and at the time the dealership had licenses plates sent directly to them to be then then handed to me. During my first scheduled maintenance they felt compelled to "Help me out" and installed the front license plate mount which required 2 sizeable holes to be drilled into the front bumper (painted). They didn't realize that I had (in the trunk) a specialty relocator and would never want to drill holes in the front of my car! (Who would do this to an FR-S?!) Of course the dealership felt it wasn't an issue which they could resolve, citing legal requirements to install the plates. A few months later for my birthday my wife decided to cover the cost to have it repaired. I went to approximately 5 Collision repair shops, every one of them advised that the cost of repair would be $1000 or more and take up to 5 days. They indicated repainting the entire front of the car including the hood was needed. A friend recommended Bumper DOC for a repair as he got repair done for less than half the price of quoted collision shops. He said the process was easy and the owners work with customers directly so you don't feel like just an ATM machine. At the time this specific shop (in Santee) was unknown to me so I tried the Kearny Mesa shop first. Got a quote and met the owner in the process. I was blown away when he explained it would take 1 day and cost $350, but of course ! was more than a little skeptical so I sat on it for a few weeks, at which point I decided to pull the trigger. By this point I had found out about the Santee location so I brought it in and met Buddy, this guy was just as Friendly, polite and professional as the owner of Kearny Mesa. Before I even had a chance to explain that I had already got a quote he said it would be $350 and take a Day or less to do, of course my wife paid them and the work was done. I was shocked by the result, it was a flawless execution, the paint match was spectacular, there were no issues and event put on a custom emblem to replace the stock one for me.This was finished on January 21st of 2014. Flash Forward to March 23rd 2015 (more than 14 months later), I have always been religious about washing my car by hand, I hate carwashes and avoid them at all costs. This car is a bit more than a daily driver, its a Street Modified Class SCCA Car which I race around in Southern California venues. The day of a large national event the car was filthy, I hadn't driven it in a few weeks and that night would be required to put a bunch of sponsorship decals on the paint, so I decided to drive through a new touchless wash about 4 blocks from Bumper Doc. The car wash seemed to go fine until I walked around to wipe off the excess water and noticed that a huge chunk of paint was blasted off the front-end. I panicked a bit and drove directly over to show Buddy, not even remembering who I was told me it was covered if he could just have the car for a few days. So about 2 weeks later I brought the car in and left it for 7 days (more than he needed but in my eyes didn't want to inconvenience him), not only did he fix the car, he hand washed it and fixed a dent in the lower splitter (definitely was my fault). BumperDOC and owners like Buddy are a rare breed of service related businesses who care more about customer satisfaction than the bottom line.
