Had an issue with leaking seals and a rough ride on my 2015 Ram 3500 4x4 DRW. Todd's attitude and his shop, told me I stumbled across a place that loves cars, trucks, boats. Lots of beautiful classics are brought to this shop. Barracuda, Studebakers, a DelRey. Many many more. My thinking is that people that own these classics, are not going to trust just anyone to work on their babies. Not only did Todd and his crew fix my issues with new seals and new shocks, he showed me the worn parts and took the time to make sure I understand the the work that was done and why it was needed. He also found that I had water in my differential. They addressed that problem free of charge. And it's not like other shops where you may question about whether something was actually needed or not. The shocks he thought would work were a bit short so he gave me 4 new proper gas shocks, each $35 more x 4... thats ANOTHER savings of $140! We left a 2nd car there because we knew it was in good hands. On my way home I had an unrelated issue. I told Todd about it via text and he made some suggestions. Now I live 2 hours from Cool Masters so I can't just jump in my truck and head there. But Todd continues to text me to see how it's going. He knew I was suppose to be heading out today to buy a new 5th wheel so he continues to check in with us. His love and passion for cars is awesome and his customer service is better than that! On my drive to work a heard a belt snap. I knew my car was then not drivable so I looked up the first auto body shop in the area. When they called they said they could fix it today, and I take these time estimates with a grain of salt. Within two hours, they had messaged me that my car was finished and good as new. Initially went in to Todd to see why my jeep wouldn't start like it should. I was told by another mechanic that it would be my transmission when it ended up being my battery. I ended up having some engine leaks that needed a bunch of work and the engine pulled out. Todd was sending pictures of my engine throughout the whole process, he was absolutely amazing and very communative the whole time even sending me pictures of my engine and what needed to be replaced. Upon picking up my jeep he went through all the parts with me again (they were laid out on the ground for me to see) I was really nervous finding a new mechanic since I am not from here but now I am assured I have an amazing and honest one! We feel totally scammed by the owner. Took our 2013 suburban in to have a transcooler installed, he talks us into replacing the suspension system as well after telling him we wanted better towing capabilities. He charged us over 3 grand and replaces our suspension with $89 shocks and springs, removes our air suspension system as well. Come to find out after taking the truck to a legitimate off road company, the shocks that were initially installed were over $700 a piece that worked hand-in-hand with the air suspension system. It already had the best suspension system set up for towing. Now the truck floats in the rear while driving. It's no longer stable. We asked him about this and his response was "well you drove it and said you were satisfied". We were just happy to see our truck after leaving it there for a month! In addition, he talks us into buying this engine programming device, which is worthless. Paid over a 1000 bucks for that. We found out that we could have bought something similar for 300 bucks. Listen, I know buyer beware and all, but it's unfortunate considering this guy was referral, so we went in trusting him. All in all, we truly feel like we got scammed. Think twice before taking your vehicle to this guy. It's going to cost us over 4 grand to replace everything he did. Essentially just to bring it back to the way it was. read more

This business gets one star for at least knowing how to hire a good employee. Todd the owner gets defensive very quickly. Todd did not admit he made a mistake the first time and blamed it on the part and the tool. When I picked up my truck for the 2nd time for the same leak I was asking about a new leak that wasn't ever there before in which he overreacted with excuses and didnt know how to talk rationally so it just eneded with him walking away. I know we are all human and we all make mistakes but a business will only grow if the owner knows how to deal with problems and clearly this owner has no idea how to do that. Always great, always reliable. I've taken my car here a few times now, and Lynn has helped me out big time. More recently he fixed the Intake Manifold Gasket, and was more than happy to give me a breakdown, in detail of all my current codes. My water pump has been leaking for about a year, and I'll be back in a few weeks to get more work on the car. Won't go to another mechanic, as long as Cool Master is in business. As I was looking for a reliable, upfront mechanic I was referred to Cool Master Automotive by a friend. My first time experience was good and he temporarily fixed my car issues but afterwards the calling part for almost 2 weeks when I suggested to set up an appointment. I understand people get busy but I am on a deadline like anyone else and my car isn't getting any healthier . This would have been my mechanic but I must continue to other mechanics that will pencil me in for appointments instead of calling to see if there is any available spots.
