I went to discount tires in El Cajon on Broadway to get a tire rotation and I asked them where I could get an alignment and they recommended East County alignment I was nervous if the place was legitimate or good. I took my chances. And I was definitely impressed. Excellent work excellent customer service they're very clean at what they do. They showed me everything they did to my truck. I have a 1993 Ford F150 they did an excellent job with the alignment. Took my car to get new tires and they checked alignment and didn't have parts to fix it. Took it to this place and showed them the report and they basically said you don't need new parts we can adjust this without replacing anything. So they didn't bother with the upsell. Had some recommendations on struts and shocks and said I'll want to replace certain things and not the whole assembly as that would just be a waste of money. I'm also a woman, so I'm running over curbs without a care in the world. Have they run behind a couple of times like a few of the other reviews? Yeah, but not hours. I reckon it's because other people show up late for their appointments and that pushes you down the line. Schedule yourself for the first appointment of the day and you won't have a problem. $175 for an alignment seems fair to me in this day and age, especially considering San Diego has the highest inflation in the US. I called and Jennifer said, "Come on in". I think I was fortunate to get squeezed in because they were very busy. My husband's car made brake noises in reverse. Turned out his brakes, rotors, and shocks were bad. His hybrid has the wrong pads from the previous owner. I needed to pick up the grandkids by 2:30. They had more than one mechanic working on it and they were done by two. Jennifer and Jesus gave me understandable and respectful (no "mechanic speak") explanations about the problems and the repairs. I drives like a whole new car. Respectful and friendly and professional! I brought my Subaru Forrester in for a repair on the broken wheel studs yesterday, April 28. They got me in right away and gave me a time estimate and while I was waiting kept me updated and offered me coffee. Everyone was responsive and easy to talk to. They finished and said I should be aware that the bushings had a slight crack but nothing to worry about. They advised me if it starts to feel shaky while driving to bring it in. I appreciated the awareness and there was no upselling. The office manager is very nice and the mechanic was friendly and helpful. Everyone was respectful and professional. Took my F-150 in for a routine alignment. During the process the ECA mechanic found several issues that escaped another auto repair shop dealing with tie rods. If left alone, more serious issues leading to costly repairs were sure to follow. ECA made the fix in a timely matter. I had an alignment done 2 years ago when I bought new Pirelli tires and the tires were wearing unevenly so I took the car back. They said the wheels are aligned and the tires were wearing unevenly because they were down to the wear bar. This didn't make sense to me so I called Pirelli and they said that is not true. Just because tires are at the wear bar does not mean they will wear uneven. I get so tired of garages lying so they don't have to take responsibility. read more

Had some uneven tire wear on my travel trailer, big name RV shop near my home said that my axles were out of alignment and needed to be replaced, I asked them about just bending them back into alignment and they acted as if that could not be done. I brought the Subaru in after a collision, that had been "repaired" by another shop, but not realigned. It turns out the other shop had only done cosmetic work. East County found several bent mechanical parts that needed to be replaced. Jake, the Business Manager, was awesome. He spent a lot of time going back and forth with me and insurance, successfully argued my case with the insurance company, and got the parts and work covered. Wow... where do I start? I'm not one for bad reviews but I have never had such an awful interaction with the owner or manager of any business. Today me and my boss brought a truck in for a service clearly listed on their website. We had been referred by another business and been told that they would need to look at the car so tow it over. And we did, perhaps we should've called, but we figured it wouldn't be a problem given the accreditation on their website and through the referral, they would at least be able to work on it especially since we already had part numbers and instructions to do the job. Now Jake, he begins speaking to my boss and immediately was aggressive and refused to even look into what we were asking to be done. Short, clipped statements and lies about us calling days ago which had never happened. We offered him a paper stating the parts needed since he claimed that was necessary, he practically shoved the paper back at us and told us "can't you read it to me" like asking him to read the part was the most obscene thing ever. They never even looked at the car, there was no attempt to understand what was wrong with it. He argued with me about his attitude and then tried to reason that he wasn't being rude when I kindly asked him why he was being so rude. He was unreasonably disrespectful and rude right in front of me and his employees. It's one thing to refuse service or to just be having a bad day but this was far from anything acceptable. I've never been offended by just watching someone else speak to another person (my boss). read more

On June 14,2020 I called East County Alignment at 9am and asked if they had any available appointments to get an alignment & oil change on my vehicle the employee then confirmed and said to bring it in at 2pm. I asked how long it would take to complete the job they said about 2.5 hours. I started to get worried around 4:45pm (they close at 5) because I didn't hear back from them I tried calling them and got no answer so I drove down there. If I didn't drive down there my car would have been sitting out there untouched and completely forgotten about they didn't complete the job they didn't even know they had to work on it employees were completely shocked when I asked for my keys. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I needed my car for a road trip the following morning which I will now not be able to do because I have to go get my car maintenance when it could of been done today but wasn't. I was referred by Discount Tire to ECA... Discount tire wasn't able to remove one of my tires because the studs were stuck. I headed over to ECA, was told I needed to schedule an appointment for the following week because they were totally slammed. I mentioned my tire had a bubble. They took this into consideration and immediately started working on getting my tire unstuck. Turns out my studs were stripped and they had to replace them so it was a little more work than they were anticipating when they squeezed me in.
