This is the restaurant inside the Pioneer Hotel casino. I was staying at the hotel, so I decided to come in for breakfast. I'm glad I did. The space is bright and clean, and everybody was friendly. They have a very large menu. I decided to go with the "build your own scramble" Three eggs, and you get to pick three items on a list, with a small "up charge" for each additional item that you want. I chose cheddar cheese, andouille sausage, and tomatoes. It was good. The eggs were tender, and they were very generous with the 'fixins. I especially like the andouille. It had just a little bit of a spice to it, but just enough that I knew it was there. The biscuit that I had with it was very fluffy, and I chose fruit instead of potatoes, which was fresh and delicious. The coffee was good, and they kept my cup full. They also have a nice bakery, but I was too full to get anything this time.. The price was reasonable, and on top of that, they do offer a military/veterans/1st responders discount. This is a cute diner tucked away inside the casino area in the back corner. Our waitress is so sweet. But the pancakes! So sweet (I have sweet tooth), the bourbon caramelized pecan was soooo good and the sauce was just great and fluffy pancakes! And the skillet was savory, the potatoes was perfectly crispy. When checking out if you are first responder, military, etc they give a discount ! So ask if you qualify at the end when paying. It has a very pretty view of the river too, it was beautiful. Well another year has gone by and I'm at Bumbleberry Flats this time with my brothers. Like many things in Laughlin the shine is coming off then and I am afraid the same is true here. My brother's and I rolled into Bumbleberry on a Friday evening. We had ridden into town the day before riding approximately 300 miles. This day we did about a hundred miles of sightseeing and were hungry and not wanting to ride into Bullhead City. Having been to Bumbleberry Flats before I thought it would be a good pick. Now I'm not saying Bumbleberry Flats was a bad pick. As it turns out things have changed and it was more of a mediocre pick. It was the dinner hour and the place really wasn't very busy. Our waitress was fast and attentive though I have to give her credit because she was a great waitress. Anyway back to the Flats. The menu had changed. I don't remember seeing the cob salad my wife had loved so much, and my shrimp po boy was no longer on the menu either. Also gone was the large beer chiller that used to have kegs of beer in it. To be honest it was still there it's just that it was empty. The menu was more of a basic everyday nothing fancy Diner with offerings like a Reuben sandwich hamburgers Chinese chicken salad. From the minute we walked in at 8 am when they opened all we heard for the male server was that he is the only one here. He kept repeating that the other server didn't show up. Then he went on to let everyone know that they are out of hash browns and he doesn't do the ordering. Once again he is the only one here. I asked 2 different people for an extra plate to put my pancakes on and never got it. My husband had to go to the front and ask for it. Most of the servers and buffet staff people were friendly enough. Bottomless mimosa glasses were never empty. Bacon was crispy. Omelette station, slow but plentiful. Bus man on top of it. I can't find a word other than sloppy. Staff untucked. Floors dirty. Buffet very sketchy. Serving utensils not clean (and not swapped out). Food not replenished. Stations dirty. Came here with my mom for their Sunday brunch before we left for home. Let me just say...this place is terrible. The greeting we received when we first got there was from a lady with zero personality and made it seem as if we were burdening her by even showing up. Our server was nice...I wish I remembered his name. We got in line to get our food and were extremely underwhelmed by our options. Not only that, it looked like food was reheated from the day before. Tasted like it too. The guy making the omelette's looked pissed off at the world - idk, maybe he was having a bad day...but the omelette was half cooked. Both of us hardly ate what we had on our place because it was less than palatable. Our total bill was almost $60 and that was with a coupon! Honestly, if I'm going out to eat and paying that, the food has got to be better than what I can make at home. Ambiance is what it is from the Pioneer...dated and nothing to write home about...then again, we didn't go there for ambiance. All in all, we will not be back. Had such a great time at Bumbleberry Flats during our family trip to Laughlin! I had to come out of my way to send some appreciation to the staff It was super busy and some guests weren't exactly the nicest, but Christina was amazing--so friendly and calm. A lot of people would've been overwhelmed, but she made the seating work for everyone and kept a great attitude the whole time. I work in hospitality and that's very hard to do quickly and efficiently. Joe made my food just how I wanted even though I didn't really know how to explain the eggs I wanted, he was super friendly and nailed it! Everything came out hot and delicious. And Don, our server, was awesome. He kept us smiling, checked in often, and made sure we were happy even with the crowd. You could really tell this team cares and works hard. I do enjoy this place for breakfast! We've eaten here several times over the past year. Service has always been efficient and pleasant. The food is good, hearty American cafe fare. Big fan of the skillets. The loaded Bloody Mary is fun! Ambiance is casino cafe circa 1990-nothing special--but it's always been clean and comfortable. Prices are a bit on the high side but portions are generous. I wouldn't pay these prices every day, but it's not so bad when you are in Laughlin having fun. The only big negative is the credit card surcharge--I know this is a popular way to squeeze extra money out of customers but it leaves a bad taste. Restaurants should price appropriately for all of their costs including credit cards (since everyone uses cards). Offer a cash discount if you want, but don't make me feel penalized for bringing my business here. Get rid of credit card surcharge and rating is a solid four stars! read more

Hubby and I used to have the $30 & $33 dollar steaks several times a week and lunches sometimes and the food and service was always excellent, 5 but something changed and our regular male server was gone and replaced with rude, slow and eye rolling female servers. We talked the food and service up so much and took our family for a big expensive dinner that absolutely sucked. Took forever for drinks and even longer for refills, sat for over 35 minutes just waiting to place our order. Apparently 50 minutes later our food came out and everything was cold. Soup was slightly warm and hubbys medium "charred" steak was raw and cold. Server got annoyed when asked to cook it some more then 20 minutes later brought back the same steak, looking exactly the same by now hot (microwaved?) she said they didn't own a microwave though. She actually rolled her eyes twice as she walked away during the whole crap show. She just seemed to be annoyed with our table and the table next to ours. They we're being ignored too. Yet other tables with certain groups were treated very differently and she seemed overly friendly to them. But anyhoo we tried the food a couple more times yet nothing changed much. OK, this is the fourth time we've been here in the last month where we could not eat the "roast beef"! It's absolutely terrible! We actually spit it out!! We have been coming here for three years for brunch and in the last year it has progressively become less quality. Yes you can get your regular breakfast fare, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, chicken, fried steak, waffles, French toast. But the roast beef is not good. Still our #1 breakfast place while visiting our snowbird friends across the river. We stay in Laughlin for the gambling night reason but spend our days in Bullhead visiting. Bumbleberry Flats for Easter was without reservation and took only a few minutes to get seated in a mostly empty dining floor. This Easter was only buffet service but we were still able to get our huge everything Bloody Mary as our entree. I completely understand that they don't have enough staff on this MLK day to properly run the restaurant. Stokers probably called off sick. Been there myself in my younger days of being a busboy. However after about 25 minutes of watching the one and only server literally running from station to station, it was clear we weren't gonna get food anytime soon. And, I can live with that. What I did not appreciate was him yelling at me and my wife from across the room that he was the only server working and he will get to us when he gets to us. I wasn't even so much irritated that he yelled but his tone and his follow up comment was very rude and unnecessary. When I said "no problem." He said "whatever" and several people were looking at me like I farted in the room. We had 20 bucks in comps and I didn't appreciate being belittled because his sorry ass was the only one working. If management reviews this, and they probably don't, I want someone to contact me as I'll be glad to start making phone calls and complaints. We walked out of there pretty angry and I still am. Went during brunch on Sunday and it was excellent. If you have your player's card, it was $25 p/p and came with 1 1/2 hrs of unlimited mimosas. My family and I were staying In Harrahs, and we were so pleased with finding this place since we had went to Claim Jumper and paid about the same price with no drinks. Staff would not honor my first responder discount (which has been honored previously). This place never fails to amaze me. I love the chicken and waffles for breakfast. The last time I went the chicken was cooked to perfection. Crispy breast, hot and flavorful. The waffle was cooked just right. Chicken - waffle - Buffalo sauce - syrup is a fantastic combination if your mouth can handle it! The restaurant is in the pioneer gambling hall which is set on the banks of the Colorado river. The restaurant has a full clear view of the majestic river. Lots of space With either booths or tables for options. Check out the pastries and goodies at the cash out booth. Walking into the Pioneer and then seeing this restaurant one may have some high hopes. I stood at the entrance for what seemed to be forever before 1 of the 2 people seen talking amongst each other finally came to seat us. The restaurant seemed rustic yet modern. The view out the window was the old questionable and falling apart staircase to the hotel next door. The table top had a material on it that made it sticky. That automatically gives you a false impression of something negative about the cleanliness. The food, service and overall final grade was just so-so. The food wasn't anything i would remember past the day of the meal (although the crispy breakfast potatoes were good). it's expensive compared to other places in Laughlin. Would I go back? Well although it wasn't a BAD experience, there just wasn't anything that strikes me as a motivator that would draw me back to it.‍. read more
