I had read about this place and then looked at some of the Yelp reviews. You would go here for the food quality. Not so much the ambience or dining experience. It would be a good stop for outdoor dining when the weather is good. It's essentially Korean fast food. Everything you order is in a 'to go' box and they encourage take out. I had the beef bulgogi with rice, it was $19 bucks, a bit on the pricey side since most of it was rice. It was good flavor though, not overpowered with onions or scallions like so many other places. Sadly, they don't offer any sauces on the side. It's very convenient to the East/West Lynx stop. There is also a good size patio on the sidewalk for outdoor dining.

Bibim Bowl w/ Fried Chicken (So sloppy...no distinct separation of veggies)

I wanted to get my husband to try Bibimbap for once in his life...so chose this place. I'm actually not a huge fan of Bibimbap, but I loved their version...and thought he'd enjoy it too. For once, my son came along to check out this place. Well, both my husband and I ordered their Bibim Bowl, but my husband chose Fried Chicken (?!?) instead of the traditional Bulgogi. With Fried Chicken, it's actually an American fusion kinda thing...not really a full-on Korean dish. Oh Well...I tried. My son also ordered this Korean Chicken. We also ordered 2 plates of Potstickers (always a favorite here!) and Miso Soup. Well, before I get to the foods, I must confess that I was disappointed with the presentation of all the foods this time. Their Potstickers are usually quite beautiful, but not this time. Even our Bibimbowl was delivered quite messy...with no effort in making it look aesthetic at all. Typically, you're supposed to be able to clearly see all the veggies included in the bowl (usually 6-8?). Well, I actually "fixed" my bowl before taking pictures. Prior to me fixing the dish, I could barely see all the separate veggies...as the Bulgogi was just loosely piled on top of all the veggies...as if they were just dumped over them, without making any effort to separate them (as should be the case!). Same with my husband's bowl! For such sloppy presentation of all the foods, I must dock a star this time. We noticed that the egg was overcooked...it was supposed to be runny, but it was hardened. Also, the Miso Soup wasn't as piping hot as usual when delivered to the table. So yeah, a few things were amiss this time. Normally I'd dock another star for foods not meeting expectations...but overall, the foods still tasted REALLY good. The service was good too...as usual. In any case, I'm glad my husband tried the Bibimbap...though not the authentic version. He seemed to like it. My son seemed to like his Chicken too...though I know he would have preferred it with Fries. Think he (and many others!) would have liked this much more if there were some options with the sides, like Fries or Rice instead of just the Cole Slaw.

I made a reservation with ease and the woman on the phone was really nice. We were welcomed by our server Matt. He seated us promptly and was very friendly. I don't think the reservation was needed since it wasn't very busy. We had $5 mimosas (can't beat that!), K-corn dog, potstickers, fried pork ribs, and the Bibim Bowl. The mimosa,K-dog, and potstickers were good, didn't really stand out 5/10. The ribs and Bibim Bowl were 9/10 I'd definitely get it again. Our server Matt was great, he gave some amazing recommendations especially for drinks since my friend is allergic to citrus. They made a rum and coke for her which was nice. We stayed for a while to chat and he didn't rush us off. Overall, my friends and I had a nice time. The appetizers were good but just not outstanding. We all loved our entrees though. I'll definitely be back!

Ordered the beef bulgogi bowl with a side of kimchi through UberEATS. It hit the spot. You definitely need the kimchi to round out the meal. If you're looking for authentic Korean food (where you get 10 little bowls of banchan with your order, you won't find that here. Just fyi.

I came in on a slow Tuesday. Not busy, and the service was quick. Literally less than 5 min. After reading so so many reviews, I opted the beef bulgogi box, and a side salad. The bulgogi was good, however not the best bulgogi I have had. I'm a huge fan of Korean bbq, so I frequent lots of places, the location is very cute and provides a great place to hang with friends.

I'm a little harsher on our experience here than my husband, primarily because the restaurant touts its authentic Korean food and...not so much. Bibimbap is one of my favorite Asian dishes. By the time I pry rice off the bottom of that sizzling hot pan, all the flavors have mingled to make the sticky baked rice a real treat. We paid extra for the hot pot (weird since how can you have bibimbap without it?) but inside the rice wasn't baked onto the surface at all. The bowl wasn't even especially hot. Likewise the bulgogi wasn't especially authentic in flavor either; it was as if a southerner made BBQ pork and then added chili paste to try to make it Korean. Don't get me wrong. The food was perfectly acceptable for people not expecting genuine Korean food, like those who are content with Olive Garden as their version of Italian fine dining. My other bone of contention was getting through dinner without one check to see if we needed anything...and as far as I knew we were the only customers at the time. We were outside on their patio so we never saw anyone to flag down. (The patio is tremendous for people watching, BTW. Highly recommend.) I don't need someone hanging over me, but at least come ask midway if we need anything or refill our water glasses. The service in general was sluggish to the point of dismissive. Our appetizer took 20 minutes to arrive, outrageously slow for potstickers. We saw our server when the main course arrived and for the check. That was it. At least pretend you care, man. So all in all, Bulgogi Box gets a resounding eh from me for being basically the PF Chang's of Korean food. Could have been worse but could have been so much better. I sure do miss Choi's Korea and Wings.

Starving and wanted something I haven't had before. I was by myself. So I was looking for a quiet place to chill, cool down and eat in peace. I thought Bulgogi Box would've been perfect. Came to find out, their dining area is still closed for seating. And the gentleman that took care of me wasn't the friendliest. He keep brushing me off on how the dining room is closed and I asked if I can sit out on the patio and he keep repeating that the dining area is closed and didn't want to directly answer my question. I was disappointed. Ordered the Bulgogi fried rice: 3/5 it was good but a little greasy. You definitely need that fried over hard egg. It comes with the miso soup: 5/5 that was really good. Comfort and earthy. Even in this hot weather I still love every bit of it. I'll come back and try other things on the menu. But definitely not until their dining room is open again

As a seasoned traveler and foodie who has had the privilege of traveling to South Korea, I was deeply impressed by Bulgogi Box! My partner and I came for date night and ordered drinks and 4 dishes which totaled to about $70 (without tip) - extremely reasonable! The fries were perfectly crispy and the spicy aioli was a great accompaniment. The boneless Korean fried chicken was extraordinarily crunchy, doused in a tangy sauce with some heat. The kimchi was fabulous. And the spicy pork bulgogi box bowl was my favorite! The meat was tender and well seasoned with the perfect amount of fat rendered, on top of a bed of soft, warm white rice that was mixed in the sauce that went over the pork. I rarely finish my entire plate when I go out to eat. For the first time in memory, I did so here! We will definitely be back for more! I've had the chance to try remarkable food in South Korea, and to me, Bulgogi Box is as close as you can get for affordable and delicious Korean food in Charlotte. Sure, you can go to a fancy and upscale place for an expensive and high quality meal that is traditional KBBQ, but you can also enjoy Korean food that is just as delicious here! I've lived in this area for 12 years and I'm glad to see that there are finally some good options for my favorite cuisine! I've had great Korean food in Atlanta and NYC, and Charlotte is now catching up to other cities that have more of a "scene" for Asian cuisine. A special thanks to the owner, Jin, who was so personable and came over to say hi after our meal was over!

Visited on a Saturday just after 5pm - surprisingly not many people inside. I choose to sit outside since the weather was beautiful and to "people watch". My server was very attentive and assisted with the menu since this was my first visit. My starter: Fried Pork Ribs - Spicy Korean [$18] My entree: BIBIM Bowl [$19.25] The ribs were good and the spicy korean sauce has a good kick to it! But the BIBIM bowl was delicious - I went with the beef! A side comes with the BIBIM Bowl and I selected their miso soup. That was a bad decision ... it wasn't good. My server recomended getting the BIBIM in a hot pot. I went with this recommendation ... FYI it's a $1 charge for the hot pot. My total for everything came to $41.40 Parking ... I visited Saturday early evening so parking was scarce. HOWEVER there is a parking garage for residents/retail right behind the restaurant. I was able to slide right on into a spot with several spots available!!! It does come with a 2-hour limit.

    Great draft selection!

You should go. Great people watching patio with solid local beer options. I love Korean food...so really looked forward to checking this place out. Our waiter recommended the Potstickers ($9) to start and we enjoyed them. My bride and I both had hot bowl Bibimbap ($18) and they were good...albeit not not really a "dolsot" sizzling bowl. The ingredients weren't what I would have expected (e.g. corn in Bibimbap?). Service from Matt was fantastic!

    B.B. Frites left. Potstickers right.

This was outstanding Casual Korean Fare. It was so good, it broke my nearly year long hiatus with writing reviews to tell you about this place! My wife and I were a bit tired of the "usual" spots around Concord so we decided to get adventurous and find a place in South End that we hadn't been too -- best decision of the week so far. I'm going to be honest, I saw the prices online and I was a little hesitant at first, bear with me on that. We arrive a bit off-peak for lunch, and were told at the counter that it's counter service only until 5pm, which was perfectly fine. We ordered B.B. Frites, Potstickers, Grilled Chicken Bulgogi Box, and a Korean Fried Chicken Bowl. Food arrived very quickly and all in to-go boxes (again, table service starts at 5pm). B.B Fries were quite good. Served with a "spicy" aioli and very crispy. They're seasoned with a Korean Spice Blend (appears to be mostly gochugaru) and hit all the right marks. The aioli was a nice touch, I wouldn't necessarily say spicy but to each their own. The main dishes, Grilled Chicken Bulgogi and the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl, were top notch as well. While we shared everything, I mostly leaned to the Fried Chicken Bowl. It was a perfect balance of savory notes, perfectly breaded chicken that delivered on crunch and flavor. Every addition had its place, from the runny egg that added creaminess, to corn with a great texture, and even chickpeas which I wasn't expecting but was very pleasing in this dish. It would be hard to try something new next time after ordering this today. I saved the best for last. The Potstickers are hands down the best pan dumpling I've tried in charlotte (even better than a certain lady that makes dumplings in Optimist Hall). The outer dumpling skin had a texture I've never seen around town. It reminded me of a thin tempura coating, a dumpling sleight of hand if you will. The pork and chicken filling was delicious, but the texture was the star of the show. I'm so glad we came here. I can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu. I said earlier the prices looked a bit high, but this food is worth every penny. Bravo, Bulgogi Box!

While in Charlotte for the weekend we were on the hunt for some amazing Korean corn dogs! Bulgogi box was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and the establishment was extremely clean. The server was extremely nice and explained the menu very well. The corn dogs were absolutely delicious, we also got marinated cucumbers, boneless wings And a beef bulgogi box all of which were spectacular!

Honestly, smart marketing move. If you're in a high foot-traffic area like Uptown Charlotte, putting your menu outside absolutely works because it pulled me right in. Just keep it updated and current, and people like me will absolutely stop and read it. Now onto the japchae, which is one of my all-time comfort foods. If you've never had it before, these are glossy Korean sweet potato glass noodles stir-fried with vegetables and sometimes protein. I ordered mine without protein because I just wanted the noodles to shine on their own. And shine they did. Perfectly cooked, lightly chewy, savory, comforting, and exactly what I was craving. I can never get enough japchae. Ever. I'm so glad MOA keeps it as a staple menu item because I would genuinely be upset if it disappeared. If you're newer to Korean food, japchae is honestly one of the best gateway dishes to start with. It's approachable, flavorful, comforting, and kind of the Korean cousin to pad thai in terms of universal appeal. The restaurant itself has a sleek Uptown vibe, and the location is super walkable if you live or work nearby. Parking Uptown can absolutely be annoying, so if you already happen to be in the area for work, a show, or meetings, it's definitely worth the stop. Charlotte, there's a big delicious world out there, and honestly, one of the nicest surprises about relocating here from Northern California has been discovering how good and diverse the food scene really is. So get out there and eat your way through it.

It was a lot of fun but there are definitely some things that would have made this experience a little smoother for us. Overall, the price is very reasonable when split between the group. One very easy and good improvement would be to move the TV screen to the back of the room. It's positioned in the same area as the "stage" so everyone had to turn their backs to read the lyrics which just felt silly. For a room fit for 25, more mics are needed! I think it's 2 per room regardless of the size. The most frustrating part of our experience is that our YouTube queue was somehow shared with another room's. We would add songs, they would delete them. Random songs would show up in our queue, we would delete them. We didn't realize it until about 20 minutes in. When we told an employee about this, they weren't aware and didn't know what to do about it, but that's definitely something that needs to be sorted out for a better experience. Space-wise it's definitely pretty cramped although you could say that it made things more intimate. Food was good though! I've also had a lot of karaoke experiences where tambourines are included for added fun. Definitely wasn't expecting this, but that could be a fun addition! Overall I've had better karaoke room experiences but I would still go back again and recommend to anyone who's never done this before!

Came here with a group of ~20 friends to do a karaoke night. We had a lot of fun as a group, but…read morethe actual karaoke experience was not great. My feedback: 1. Add more mics in each room - there were only 2 mics in our room. When I did this style of karaoke before there were 5 or 6 mics so it was easy for the whole group to participate. Our room only had 2 mics. Yes we could share and everyone was able to sing along even if they didn't have a mic, but being able to sing into the mic and pretend you're a pop star while you're up on stage is part of the fun. 2. Rearrange the TV screens/furniture - the "stage" area is on the same wall as the TV, so whoever was singing had to turn their back on the audience to look at the words. 3. Fix the song queuing experience and train staff on how to use/troubleshoot - our group's songs kept disappearing from the queue, and we figured out about halfway through our session that there was a technical issue resulting in two different rooms adding songs to the same queue. When we asked the staff for help they had no idea how to fix the issue. These things are all pretty important to the karaoke experience, so we won't be coming back to this location. However, the rooms at the Noda location are set up a lot better, so we'll probably try there if we go again.

We started with the fried tteok fries, which were surprisingly light and delicious. I've only ever had tteok in stews before, so I was worried they might be hard or chewy, but they were the complete opposite--crispy, light, and really enjoyable. We also ordered the dolsot bibimbap with beef, the Japchea with beef , and a side of the daily soup, which was beef with radish. Everything was very savory without being heavy, and overall just really comforting food. On top of that, the servers were very kind and polite. We loved our experience and would definitely come back.

I called this restaurant to confirm they don't use fruit juice in their bulgogi marinade, as I'm allergic. They assured me twice that they don't. I placed a $40 order with doordash for two dishes (already ridiculous), and they called me back 10 minutes later saying they DO USE PEAR JUICE. I ask them if they use pear juice in their chicken or pork and they said yes. At no point do they offer me a refund despite it clearly being a massive shortcoming on their end, one that could've made me gravely ill. Instead I have to sub for tofu, resulting with me ending up with a $40 meal I would've never ordered in the first place! To replace the gimbap, they GRIPE ME ABOUT A $10 PRICE DIFFERENCE between the gimbap and the kimchi pancakes as if it's not their fault! If they are this flippant and careless with making people sick, I genuinely cannot imagine how they run the rest of their restaurant. I cannot advise people to stay away from here enough. This interaction went beyond breaching normal restaurant hospitality and veered into lacking human decency territory. I can't imagine lying to someone about food allergies and not immediately offering a refund. Absolutely obscene. Could've gotten gravely ill and instead of saying sorry the lady on the phone is griping me about a $10 difference as if kimchi pancakes even costs $6 to make in the first place.

It's in a midsized shopping center, and parking was pretty easy with lots of spaces in the shopping center parking lot. We came slightly before the typical dinner (again, *starving*) and were seated immediately. We ordered our dishes thru server, and they were delivered super fast. I thought I was going to pass out from being hangry, but I was soon dancing and enjoying the food! I'm usually a pork belly girlie, but do not sleep on their beef dishes. We wish we got more of beef at Iron Dish than we did because they were that good! The interior was pretty "rustic" with exposed concrete here and there. The table benches were connected to the tables next/behind you, and if you have a big person sitting next table, your seat will be shaken the whole time. Not my favorite activity to do while I'm eating, but the food was amazing. So it's a solid 5 star for me! I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area :)

I didn't care for the chopped up salmon pieces. There time limit is what I'm familiar with and it's ample to try everything on premium. Someone knows the phone isn't operational but was apathetic when I asked about it. Like, yeahhh... ** What didn't work/Can be Improved ** - A deep cleaning would service this place well. Walls, table tops, underneath and windows plus the seats. - noodles were overcooked. I don't need aldente but japchae has a firmness that's unmistakable this offering didn't. - No idea why they don't take tap pay but here we are learning card swipe only. Can recommend with warnings. I'll be back for sure.

First off service was great and relatively quick , I love that they have a button for you to press if you need something!! I wish most restaurants did that! Now into the food... I got the Jjolmyeon this is my specialty and my favorite dish I get it all year round at SuperG I will say it's a bit spicier which I LOVE and more liquidy which I'm not use to. Overall not bad definitely a great backup super good. 4/5 on that. Kimchi was really good , was perfectly fermented. then I finished with the Tteokbokki unfortunately I had no more room to finish but I think it's the best tteokbokki I've ever had and usually this is my least favorite dish, I liked it so much I took it Togo! might add cheese on top later for dinner. I also love that it was ACTUALLY SPICYYY usually when a Korean dish is labeled spicy it's not that spicy to me (it's the West African in me) but had a nice kick that I appreciated. 5/5 ALSO CLEAN!!! really clean inside !!!

From the premium cuts of meat to the impressive variety of side dishes and soups, every element is executed perfectly. Two things really set them apart: the meat portions are perfectly sized, and the variety of dipping sauces is on another level. Even during a busy service, the staff is attentive and the food comes out incredibly fast. There are ample dining tables inside, but the parking lot is rather tight as it is shared with Seoul Food Meat Company. However, the restaurant does validate parking if you pay for parking so just let them know. The ambiance was not too loud, but it definitely gets busier at lunch or dinner times. I would say that the service was alright. It was nothing special. I found the servers who attended my table to be upbeat and friendly, but I kind of wanted them to come around a bit more and check in on us when we were running low on water or sides. My family mostly ordered the Premium Original Pork Belly and Fatty Beef Brisket along with some vegetables. The pork belly comes out in two strips, which makes it quick to go through. I personally enjoyed the pork belly. It tasted great with the sauces! I did not like the Fatty Beef Brisket that much because it was too fatty (I know the name includes "fatty" but it seemed like the fat to meat ratio on each brisket piece was 2:1 at times). My parents thought that the Premium Steak was tender, but it was a bit too salty for them. Since they are older, they are more careful about sodium intake but I understand that a lot of people prefer more salty foods. But I will say that I found the kimchi and corn cheese a bit salty so maybe it is more than just a taste palate issue. My mom wanted to eat hot pot, but my dad and I were too full to eat more and we were worried about the additional charge if she did not finish some of the food. Also, you cook the food yourself here! This might not seem interesting but at a lot of KBBQ places in Atlanta, the servers always cook for you (which can either be a pro or con depending you). There are not a lot of AYCE KBBQ spots in North Carolina compared to Georgia... where I have been the past few years... so I think my actual rating of this place would be 3.5/5 stars. If you can make the drive to Atlanta, I would go there because there are better options.
