    Paella de mariscos

Small space. Enjoyed the music. We had one server who served the whole restaurant and was the bartender. Surprisingly service was still efficient. Tortilla española was delicious. However the portion size was too small for the price and was served with a ridiculous amount of green coated with a vinaigrette. Delicious for sure, but if I want a salad, I'll order a salad. Give me a larger portion of tortilla for that price. Meatballs (albóndigas) were tasty. My daughter loved the octopus. I enjoyed the paella. Perfectly sized for 2-3 people. My margarita had too much ice which gave me less drink for the price. Overall excellent food. I will definitely come back.

Great, busy neighborhood. We had no problems finding parking space. Food is Spanish and reminded us of our trip to Spain. The paella was good, not brilliant. Certainly not for the price it was. But all in all, wonderful experience.

I tried the patatas bravas and the goat cheese, the food was good, I also had their sangria and I loved it. If the place wasn't so incredible cold I would have given it 5 stars. Maybe the furnace was broken or they didn't turn it on, aside from that I would definitely go again.

Food is amazing. Service es increible. I strongly recommend the Carna con Pan, Sopa, espresso. Bueno

Great place with excellent food. They had a flamenco dancer, who performed during the afternoon. We will come back.

It's a very cute place but the flavor was lacking. We ordered a little bit of everything and we were not impressed by anything. We even ordered rice that took 45 min and we didn't even finish half of it

My friend and I had dinner early; I was there around 6 PM. There was not a soul when I got there and I loved it, the music was at a perfect volume for me to hang out while I waited for my friend and even when she got there, it was very easy to hear her. I ordered a "Tinto de verano," because it is my favorite Spaniard drink and it was good! Note that the bartender and waiter is the same person, at least the night I was there. He was incredibly fast and attentive. Everything I ordered was brought in a timely manner and surpassed my expectations. REMEMBER, tapas plates are smaller portions. I got the following: Iberico ham platter: Perfect to split between two or three people, depending on your appetite. It comes with bread and cheese. Chorizo empanadas: It comes with 5 small empanadas and two, very savory, sauces. These empanadas are THE BOMB. Last but not least, Spanish Chorizo: The chorizo comes on a bed of potatoes or as they call it "patatas," and I asked them to make them spicy or "patatas bravas," which if you can handle spice should be an awesome plate for you. The chorizo was the best plate I had and I ended up eating it all by myself. IT WAS AMAZING. The price for two people to split a few dishes is perfect. I would go back to this place because of the food and service a 100%.

The patatas bravas were flavorful. The garlic shrimp was cooked perfectly. The fried calamari was the only dish that missed the mark for us, as it was a bit too greasy. The highlight of the meal was the seafood paella. Both the shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly, but what really impressed us was the rice. Paella can be difficult to get right, and the rice had excellent texture and flavor, making the dish a pleasure to eat. We ended with the butterscotch custard which was perfect and the almond caramel bar. After several disappointing dining experiences during our short trip to Chicago, Café Ba-Ba-Reeba finally delivered a meal that left us satisfied. The service was great. She was attentive and efficient. We'd gladly come back.

We sat out on their covered patio area which super cute and ordered a sangria pitcher to share. Great sangria! We got a bunch to share of course but the first thing was the olives (YUM) and the brussel sprout salad which was surprisingly so yummy! We also tried croquetas which were great, the chicken and chorizo skewers, patatas bravas, the tortilla (which I have had authentic one and this one is great) and same goes for the pulpo which was so good. I really don't think we went wrong with anything we ordered even the chickpea stew was great. My take on the paella is get the seafood one if you can. I didn't tried but we had to get the chicken one because a lot of our table doesn't eat seafood and it was okay to me! Huge serving though so save room post the tapas! And of course we have to get the dessert so we had the cheesecake the chocolate cake and both were fab. Such a cutie place and I will be thinking about these tapas for a while!

I ordered the item charcuterie and chose coppa, prosciutto, and a French Brie. The meat and cheese were good as expected but that quince spread really took the dish over the top! It was the perfect complement to the fatty meats. Next was the Mushroom dish and while the mushroom purer wasn't a looker, it was a huge umami bomb! Really good pairing with the other mushrooms on the plate. Lastly, I got the milk braised shoulder and it was so tender and flavorful. Good size portion, too! Took leftovers and made a breakfast sandwich the next day and it was still good! I regret not ordering the beef marrow, the table next to me did and I had food envy the whole time but honestly, I had no more room, I was so stuffed! Drinks and service was great, too! A James Beard Award-winning restaurant and Michelin Bib Gourmand honoree. The star of the meal? The divinely delicious Spanish Octopus. Cooked to perfection, so meaty and tender. And the restaurant was nice.

I love how they present the proteins tableside, which is helpful to making the best decision (saves time from searching for photos!). We chose the True Galiciana steak since it's a Spain cuisine and the steak was seasoned so well and so tender. Spider Crab Arroz Cremoso - was also really delicious! Presentation was beautiful and the rice was creamy, 'crabby' and a great pairing with the steak. Bone Marrow Potato Purée - also equally delicious and so decadent. We walked in, excited for a nice evening out without of town guest, only to be turned away and told they were fully booked for the evening. What was even more frustrating was that when I checked online shortly after, there were tables available within 30 minutes of leaving the restaurant. Living less than a block away and having been regular visitors, this experience was particularly disheartening. The manager's lack of care when turning us away left a sour taste, and it felt as though our loyalty didn't matter at all. With so many dining options within walking distance, we decided to take our business down the street. We usually visit Tapas Valencia about twice a month, but after how we were treated this evening, it's clear that we won't be returning. It's unfortunate, but the way we were treated has led us to seek out other dining experiences.
