I must have called 15+ different companies on a Friday afternoon with no luck, most without an answer entirely. I wish Yelp suggested these guys. It would have made my night much more enjoyable and I wouldn't have had to take extra headache medicine. I got ahold of their owner Rafael - from the initial call, he asked the right questions, understood the severity and instead of Rafael saying my visit will be $_______... he said "I'll be right over". I appreciated this because I expressed the urgency. Some may say it was an emergency call, exactly right. Within the hour he arrived with his assistant and started diagnosing the electrical issues. Within 2 hours he was able to pinpoint and address concerns while explaining what he was doing throughout the process. Incredible! Pricing is what one should expect for such a specialty trade. Very fair value for the time spent. Customer service goes a long way and this company should be at the top of the list for any electrical work in the Bay Area. I know I'll be using him moving forward. Great job Electricians On Duty & thank you Rafael. Good people providing good services in the Bay Area. Keep going!!!

Raphael responded quickly and was up front with pricing and availability. Raphael and an associate arrived on time, and were polite and patient with my explanation and questions. They spent an hour doing testing and trying several things, and checked in with me prior to starting the next longer stage of troubleshooting. Since it was getting close to the end of the day, we opted to end the appointment. Since they were not able to solve my problem despite an hour work, they opted to not charge me for the service. Raphael additionally offered to consult over the phone if I decided to get a second opinion. Overall great experience, thank you Raphael!

However, based on very strong yelp reviews, I decided to give Duke Electric a go. And I have to say thanks to Yelp and Duke as we remodel a rental It has been a fairly stress-free process so far. Duke responded to the message within Yelp almost immediately. The first part that stood out is his promptness. He answers his phone. I don't think I left one voicemail during the entire process. We had a host of electrical issues that we needed to address before we could put the Home back on the market. The other shocking part to me at least was that Duke was respectful of my time. If he said he was gonna be there at 9 o'clock he was there and in fact, I had initially assumed we would be on typical contractor time, but realized very quickly. I needed to be there when he said he was gonna be there. We had a fairly extensive list of I've work we needed to get done and it was all completed in a timely fashion. Add to this, his prices were actually better than some of the other estimates we received and going back the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this contractor if you're considering electrical work and would give him six stars if Yelp would let me.

Jason came out right on time and I can't express how highly impressed I was with his personality first of all and then the great customer service I received! I'm a retired older single woman that really doesn't like to have strangers in my home even for professional home services. I was very comfortable with Jason in my home! Not only did I receive excellent installation results, but I really enjoyed the conversation we had during the time he was here. I have a few more electrical jobs that need to be done and I will definitely hire him again! From initial quoting to final sign-off, the entire process was smooth, transparent, and executed right on schedule. A few key highlights from my experience: Fast & Competitive Quoting: They were the very first company to send over a detailed quotation--delivering it on a Saturday! Their proposal was easily the most cost-effective option compared to other reputable local contractors without compromising on quality. Exceptional Communication: The owner was extremely responsive across email, calls, and text messages. Any questions I had were answered promptly, making the planning process completely stress-free. Flawless Permitting & Inspection Coordination: They handled all the scheduling with both PG&E and the City of Campbell building inspector smoothly. Everything aligned on swap day without delays. Clean Physical Installation & Placement: The crew placed both the main panel and subpanel cleanly, and routed the Tesla Wall Connector right to the exact spot I needed. While they don't do final drywall finishing/sanding, they made sure all code-required fireproofing materials were properly in place and put the wall cutouts back neatly so everything was left safe and solid. The project timeline met all my expectations. If you need a main panel upgrade, subpanel work, or EV charger wiring done right, I highly recommend ALTAP Electrical!

I didn't appreciate the urgency (she said I needed it done asap, when I had at least 4 to 5 months). Aside from that, the communication from the project manager was competent & efficient. When Trout took over communication went haywire. During the city permitting process they said in their letter to me that I just needed to be home for (think the window was 8:30 to 9:45am). They said nothing about having to keep opening and closing my garage door access. Well, I refuse to use my PTO from work because they're not sure how long they're going to be, or the start and end times. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? Finally, they got that sorted out and around 5 PM one of their techs asked me to open my garage. I never got a response back from him when I asked to confirm if he was done and I could shut it again (by the way, I was doing this remotely from work since I have an app.) Communication needs to greatly improve in order for me to recommend this business.

I appreciated their professionalism during the first few projects. Unfortunately, my most recent service--the most expensive one--left me disappointed. After the work was completed, I noticed that one breaker on my panel was missing a label. When I asked Caio, the owner, about it, I was told that they could not identify it during testing and that it might be connected to a hidden outlet. I was advised to turn the breaker off for several hours, or even a day, and see what stops working. When I asked what the old panel had listed for that breaker, I was told there was no label. As a customer who paid on time and in full, I expected better accountability. Since all of the wiring was stripped and reconnected during the panel replacement, I believe identifying and properly labeling the circuits should have been part of the job. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service moving forward.
