I recently had an estimate done with build pros. Project manager Carlos was sent out and was nice and professional the first day. Second appointment was created to give us a print out estimate although we had already told them we didn't plan on using them at this time. Again, they sent out Carlos to try and negotiate. Once I communicated I had no plans on using their service, it was like I got a completely different person. He became very disrespectful and aggressive. Started saying" you need to really take care of this (cracks in stucco) ". He also began to insult my house, saying it needed a ton of work done, like yesterday. They might have convinced me if their project manager wasn't pushy, aggressive and disrespectful. I called to let his superiors know, but didn't receive any apology. Steer clear away! read more

Worst Service ever... Unprofessional Phone Staff. They go door to door looking for Customers, and when you actually schedule a Consult with them, but have to Cancel, they become very rude, condescending, and unprofessional about actually getting the Cancelation done... Called 3 hours ahead of time to CANCEL, the Rep said it was Canceled, however, the Appointment was still scheduled, and contractor showed up to My Home while I was out, and other Parties at My Residence called Me to ask why the Contractors were there and what to do about them!? I immediately call, the Person who originally setup the Appointment yesterday, answered the Phone, and Started being weird, calling Me Name, and Crazy, Addressing Me as Girl, and Mrs, when I am Not Married, I am a Ms I had to repeatedly tell her... She started saying I was harassing the Business for asking to deal with Somwone way above her, to lodge an official Complaint with the hire up, VS continue to be insulted to say the least... She tells Me, you do Not Pay My Pay Check, and I told her, Nor do I work for your Company, therefore I could be the one Paying your Pay Check, but at this Point, I Never will based on today's report. This Person claims she was a Manager, and then the WIFE of the Owner, etc, looks like she is the Jack of All Shade. I Attempted Several times to obtain a Sr Level Person over her to the Phone, but unfortunately, that could Not happen. Best thing I CAN SAY about this Place, is WARNING : DO NOT HIRE THEM. Beware, even the website looks sketchy... Not Much info on there, and thr Flyer is Very LIMITED as well... I had Actually Never heard of them Prior to running into their Door to Door Salesmen. I want to thank Build Pros Construction, especially Project Manager Jesse P for the professionalism and courtesy provided. I was interested in having my house painted and driveway and walkway replaced with pavers. He was informative about the options available to me and instrumental in helping me make an informed decision on what would work best for my situation. I decided to go with a high quality durable coating system and Jesse worked with me on reasonable pricing. They started two days later and came daily during the week working from morning until evening, The old layers of stucco were removed, cracks repaired and old wood replaced/repaired before the coating was applied. The construction workers were very thorough and paid attention to detail. All construction materials were stored neatly during the project and all debris was hauled away daily. After the house exterior was completed my driveway and walkway were replaced with new pavers. I am so happy and pleased with the finished results Thanks to Build Pros. Sharing my experience and judge for yourself. They did an assessment for a leaky roof that wets the ceiling, convinced us the roof was built wrong, then they proceeded to replace the ENTIRE roof, without mentioning or explaining that it could also be an HVAC leak. I am not a roof expert, that's why I sought professional advice. True enough, there was still a leak around the HVAC when it rains after having a brand new roof... imagine that. I call to tell them about it, only to tell me it's not the roof, but the HVAC as the source of the leak, which they conveniently forgot to mention before starting the contract, and are refusing to do anything about it... the problem I came to them to fix in the first place. These people won't care about addressing the problem, they just want to secure a contract and will sweet talk you with words like "best warranty" and "call us anytime"... but will be unavailable and dodgy when a problem arises. Now I am tens of thousands of dollars in debt for a project that absolutely did not address the problem at all. After offering no solutions, they also have the audacity and offer to fix the HVAC leak "for the best price but as a separate contract" - obviously a totally opportunistic way of doing business. Do not let this happen to you. read more

I recently made a decision I regret--not because the outcome was disastrous, but because I ignored the still, small voice of discernment. I let urgency and salesmanship override the wisdom God has given me through experience. The work was passable, but the process left me unsettled. This reminded me that discernment is a gift we must steward well. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. Next time, I'll pause, pray, and seek counsel before committing. And I encourage others to do the same. I typically get at least two estimates before committing to a service, but I allowed myself to be swayed by a high-pressure sales pitch. The work itself was decent--I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5--but the sales tactics left a bad taste. I was offered "discounts" for signing immediately and allowing a yard sign, and when I hesitated, the rep acted like he was calling his boss to 'fight' for a better price. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts. A yard sign was never placed in my yard. Before we started, I expressed that I had several jobs that I was looking to get done. No one has contacted me to follow up on the additional work. I'm guessing they feel like they took enough money from me already. Well, they messed up because they have lost the opportunity to bid on those jobs. I hope this feedback helps others make informed decisions and follow your gut. read more

Utterly unprofessional and unreliable company. As mentioned by others they're very on top of their canvassing and getting that contract signed; however, once that's done and client locked in, they just give you the runaround. They don't bother with starting the work when they said they would, or even communicate properly. We signed the contract on 10/30, for not that big of a job that they said would just be a day's work. On 10/31 Thursday, DJ from production came for re-measurement and said they'd most probably start it coming Monday; and if not, it'd still be done that week, and he'd let me know exactly when by the end of the day. 11/05 Tuesday, I followed up with him as I didn't hear from him nor did any work start; no response. Texted again on Thursday, no response. Tried the project manager, Michael; then called the office, and was told they're both out in the field would be told to get in touch with me. Micheal texted, I explained the situation and asked what is happening. He said that DJ has been out sick (mind you the office had said he's out in the field) apologizing for not responding, they'll be wrapping up a job on Monday, and can start on Tuesday. Today is Wednesday, no work has started, nor have I heard from them. So you have to chase them to get a response that's just deception, to then have to chase again.. cycle. Needless to say, after seeing how they operate on simple scheduling and communication matters, I'm now scared of the quality of work they provide too. Terrible! read more

I had a great experience with build pros! Although I'm not particularly fond of being sold to (and their sales process is very aggressive), they worked quickly and diligently and delivered on every promise they made. The first team repaired the stucco on my house, then finished and waterproofed it with their eco-friendly uv-reflective paint. Communication was good, and they checked in with me after each step. Buildpros then brought in another team to install new gutters, which was done amazingly quickly. All in all, I'm very satisfied and appreciated everyone's expertise. read more

My husband wanted to get some sort of stucco design on some concrete block walls on the front of our property. But he left the final design pattern up to me. So, we met Bomery (spelling?) who was canvassing our block with flyers for BuildPros Construction (BPC) and the timing was truly auspicious. My husband told him what we were looking for, and the very next day Project Manager, Dusan (Dule) Dimitrijevic stopped by our home to take measurements for the project. Eventually we signed the contract. Remeasurements were taken the very next day (standard for this company), and a day later the work crew came by to begin the project. I decided on a stucco pattern called Spanish (texture), and Manuel (Manny), Rudy, and Willie - the hardworking, extremely polite, and wonderful work crew - laid the very first few layers of stucco down. They actually did 3 layers because the concrete block walls seams showed through, versus using only one layer. They needed to do this to create a seamless effect. Forty eight hours passed and Manny and his guys came by earlier today to add the final layer of stucco. Originally, I wanted the Spanish style, but decided on the next level up called, Spanish Lace. Now, am guessing that Manny and his guys might call it a Knockdown Wall Texture type in their lingo, but I prefer to call it Spanish Lace. By the by, it turned out gorgeous! We're getting our home's exterior painted and I will have to decide on a color to paint the newly stucco walls. But as you will see in the 2 photos I am providing, they are bare in color, which will be added when the house gets painted. And before the paint job commences, we will need to add cap stones to finish the top of the walls. And while our newly textured walls are currently drying, let me say that both my husband and I are very impressed with the final results! Kudos to Manuel and the amazing crew, and their clean-up was exceptional. And a second kudo to Dule (Project Manager) for his integrity, patience, kindness, and outstanding customer service. Eventually, we will have a couple more exterior-house projects down the road, and you can betcha we'll give Project Manager, Dule a call and get BuildPros Construction involved. This review is a result of a direct unsolicited interaction with a Build Pros Construction door-to-door salesman, Nick. We received a knock, ring of the doorbell, and a shout of 'hello' from outside from Nick looking to speak with us, which we did not answer. A flyer was left on our door which was disposed of after Nick left the property. A few hours later, Nick returned, ringing the doorbell again, and standing at the door for an uncomfortably long amount of time. We answered the door to ask him to leave, and he proceeded to hard attempt to sell us solar panels, and tried to pry information out of us on potential home improvement projects. We stated no interested and he proceeded to try to pry our names for future follow up. We do not appreciate these aggressive tactics and suggest you do not continue this practice. read more

Extremely disrespectful of our time-- promises of fixing the work on a certain day and time, and then no one shows up or calls to reschedule. There was also A LOT of upselling. Very detailed and mostly on top of their stuff. They took care of my roof and stopped a lot of bad leaking. They work fast and hard and do their best to be as thorough as possible. They did an incredible job and I'm very grateful for their work on this house. I would just say to ask a lot of questions if you're getting a big job done. Their was a miscommunication and they removed the tiles from an accent roof and replaced them with wooden shingles. However, they did come back to replace them with new tiles very quickly and free of charge. However, they left a few edges where the old tiles were still visible and I had to pay to replace them so everything would match again. That said, I feel like many other construction companies wouldn't have been so attentive. Overall, these guys are friendly, professional and take a lot of pride in their work. read more

I was told they would not give me a quote because my husband was not able to be with me during the quote process (hello 1960's). Way too much sexism with this company's need for a husband to be at the "quote meeting" especially when that partner lives overseas, has zero interest in the house and is not on the title. We are extremely pleased with the new texture coat on our home. We had patches of stucco falling off and many, many cracks in the exterior walls. Build Pros came in and blasted off all of the loose stucco and patched up all the cracks and bare spots. They were very professional and respectful. This company is hugely unprofessional. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or we just had a couple new hires- but they ate up several days of our time as well as just a complete disregard for the contract they sold us. A few guys were canvassing the area. We needed a new fence and they seemed to be polite and shared their BB rating and contractors license. We set an appointment for the following day. I did find it odd when someone from the office wanted "to make sure we actually wanted an appointment." When I said, "yes, of course" the woman from the office shared that the canvas team were hired from the church. I felt like maybe that was a nice thing? The next day two younger men came to our home and gave the whole pitch- I really just wanted an estimate to see if it was in budget but they seemed very earnest about going through their power point- sweet young men. We made the deal, gave a deposit and they called their boss to confirm. They let us know another employee would come the following day to do a remeasure- I was worried they'd try to change the price or upsell etc... the men told me it was standard. The next day a new employee came to measure - he showed up not sure what he needed to measure, he said "I haven't read my folder yet." We showed him what they were coming in two days to do a fence and our garage roof- he measured. The next day there was a new guy at the door- he said he needed to recheck the measurements. I told him I felt really weird and like the company was giving me red flags... so I decided to call the guy who had already measured the day before- when I called he was immediately hostile- I said "I was feeling very uncomfortable..." he replied yelling "we are a multimillion dollar company!" I hung up. We already had given a deposit and arranged to be home on the weekend to have the work done. I wasn't sure what to do. I called the office and explained the situation- I was told they'd call me back (mind you we were having the work done the following day) by the end of the day I hadn't received a reply- when I called again the lovely secretary told me it was the owner's birthday and he doesn't normally come in to the office on Fridays anyway. I said we needed to speak to someone in charge because we were having work done. We finally received a call two hours later- by a new employee he said he's be taking the job over. Said he wanted to come by and measure again- said he'd reschedule the job and come out Monday. Fine. Monday rolls around and I don't hear from him until 1:30- said he wants to come by at 3. He's annoyed when I say I just left my house. This morning- I text to say when I'll be home- he texts back "we are going to turn down the job. We underestimated the job." I text back asking about refunding the deposit. No answer. read more

I hired Build Pros twice. First project was for AC. Was good. However , the second project I felt like I was an after thought. They are not consistent. They definitely do not ask for permission on what needs to be done... more so when an issue would arise. They tend to quote you high and present to give you deals while they call a "manager." Then offer you specials... very gimmicky. Beware of the Showcase discount... still more expensive than what is out there and they never even posted the showcase which make this program fake! Whatever the customers wants don't matter. Be ready to not be pleased and just having to 'settle.' They do not keep you informed on what is happening. You are expected to just magically know. Had to consistently call and ask questions. They made you feel like you were bothering them. Also they are "too busy." They have so many projects and you are just a number they need to meet! They cut electrical wires without properly doing it or capping it off and left wires exposed for a week resulting in some outlets in our back bedroom and back room outlets not to work. They also were charging to fix an error they caused. I ended up paying out of pocket to fix it with a different contractor and when they inspected it they mentioned so many things they did wrong. Seeing what I can do about this. My experience was horrible. They are expensive for supposedly premium materials... I suggest doing more research and comps. It wasn't worth the investment. I wish my money went to a company more deserving. read more

Warning! The Regional Manager Anika Avery and her colleague visited my home for an estimate regarding potential work I needed done. I informed Ms. Avery that I was at the infantile stage and just wanted an estimate so that I could compare and do further research. After her unexpected 4-hour presentation I declined signing any contract and informed her that that I wanted to obtain additional estimates and so forth. After many attempts, on her part, to convince me that I needed to act now to receive this great offer I stood firm and reiterated that I just wanted an estimate. She then offered me a discount and shaved $11,000 off the estimate. I declined the offer. Ms. Avery became visibly agitated, tense, and brash. I felt very uncomfortable in my own home at this point. There was so much tension in the air you could cut it with a butter knife. Well, they finally left. Approximately 3 to 4 weeks later I received a letter from my Homeowners Insurance company terminating my insurance due to the same conditions I was seeking estimates from Ms. Avery for. I'm not assuming Ms. Avery had anything to do with it. I'm merely telling a story, and the reader should make that judgement on their own. This is merely a diary log of my events during and after subsequent meeting with Ms. Avery and her colleague. Furthermore, I receive at least 3 calls a day from contractor's soliciting their services for the same type of work I discussed with Ms. Avery. Again, make your own judgement if this is just coincidental or par for the course. I believe that because she didn't get a sale she attempted to dem my light; however, my light shines too bright for her to dem. I've subsequently sold this home and moved on to greener pastures. The original service that I requested from build pros was to paint the outside of my house. They did such a fabulous job that I then ordered new windows and for them to paint the inside of my house, as well as add gutters. All of the building pro professionals were absolutely outstanding. The painters were on time and cleaned up after themselves each day. The paint job they did was professional and look absolutely beautiful when they finished the guy that painted the inside of the house I would refer them to anyone, they took great pride in their work they were so, caring and kind regarding our items that had to be moved and put back just like they were found. the guys that came to put the gutters in were total professionals they came up with an idea where I would not have to have a ugly long gutter hanging out or protruding from the house they figured out a very innovative way make the gutters look beautiful. These guys took such pride in their work When ever i had an issue and discussed with my project person it was taken care of promptly. All work was done with quality and professionalism. They followed up each day to let me know what would be worked on and completed. It was done. Similar experience as others. Sales pitch with pressure to sign the same day. We declined several times and were told they would not give us an official proposal, after asking again we were left with a notebook sheet of paper with a handwritten price and no other information. Typically we don't fall for the door to door give you a quote sales, but my husband made it very clear to them BEFORE they came over that we would not purchase anything same day, they can give us a quote, and that we would be getting other quotes from other roofers. They agreed, so we gave it a chance. Despite my husband telling this to several people several different times, at the end of the sales pitch it of course turned into a you must sign today with a lot of back and forth on why we would not sign, digging into what we could and could not afford, why won't we sign, more pressure, over and over again. I felt the sales rep primarily looked and talked to my husband and not me. I expressed that this style of sale pitch pushing us to sign the same day or we won't get the sales price doesn't feel great and that we just want a proposal to be able to compare and get other quotes. Their presentation of information was good, but didn't leave us with any information on what the price included. The sales rep said that I was supposed to remember it all on my own. Very unprofessional. Overall, it was a terrible experience. We have received other quotes before and typically the contractor or any working professional will do a walk through on your house and provide a physical quote on paper what the quote includes and excludes. I would pass on this company just based on sales experience. read more
