Noah was very kind and knowledgeable. Made the experience memorable and special. You can tell he loves his job and assisting customers.

Please be careful at checkout. The cashier told me she's going to give us a coupon for next time for $10. She failed to tell me we would be charged $5 for the gift card. Why would I purchase a gift card for $5 that's only worth $10? lol what? When I called today May 8 at 12:21 pm to inquire about a refund, the employee was very rude. Told me I misunderstood. Dismissed what I told her and hung up the phone. Not much to misunderstand there. I was omitted information at the time of the transaction. Note photo. I was told I was getting a $10 gift card to use next time. Nothing was said about a $5 charge for it! That is predatory. Be aware of what they tell you at checkout.

We used their birthday special for our 5 year old so we got a $14 worth of a bear for $5. It was a cute exercise for my daughter. She got to press the pedal and be involved in the filling process. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Although there's nothing to choose from for the birthday special. They have only one kind of bear, but still worth it if your child is younger.

So I finally did it!! I finally took my toddler out and of all places we ended up here at the mall. Lmao. Since Build-A-Bear Workshop has this amazing "count your candles" offer where the age of your child is how much you'll be paying for their infamous birthday bear, I couldn't pass up on the offer. What better way to commemorate my toddler's 1st year and make her first visit to B.A.B that much more special. This workshop was a lot smaller than I remembered it so do not be alarmed if you find yourself standing outside waiting for an employee to grant you access. The shop is keen on social distancing and keeping all of its visitors and employees safe. The easy part was picking out the bear but the hard part was deciding on what outfit and accessories to buy. Due to the shop being a lot smaller, I felt like B.A.B downsized a lot on it's selection of clothing. We took quite a bit of time but managed to come up with something not too flashy and soft enough for our baby to comfortably cuddle with. The downside: Ringing up the bear and naming it was like pulling teeth. Maybe it was the masks making things hard to understand but the employee named the bear incorrectly. Once that was fixed we left the store only to find out my daughter's name was misspelled. [[FML]] 3 stars because things weren't bad but I wished it had gone a lot more smoother.

I recently purchased a product online for my granddaughter for Christmas. It came in a crushed brown box. The birth certificate was crumpled and the only packaging was one piece of paper shoved in the box. When I called and asked why my purchase wasn't in a build a bear box I was told I had to check that option at checkout. Seriously? I was told I could order one for .95 with an almost $10 shipping charge or go to a store. There are no stores in close proximity to me that's why I ordered online to begin with. All in all their customer service sucks. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

For my 4th birthday I got a Build A Bear stuff animal and I just have to say this thing held up amazing!! I got the monkey bear and I remember them putting a scent on her belly of the stuff animal and to this day I can still smell it after loads of washing and drying in the washer and dryer. I am 13 now and no rips, tears, etc. It had collected lint in the past few years but that will always happen. if your looking for a bear to have for the rest of your life choose Build A Bear :).

I had a great experience with the staff at build a bear. We created a "pay your age" birthday bear. All that you have to do is sign up online and show up during your child's birthday month. They gave my almost 2 year old a big sticker and helped him through the bear making process at an age appropriate level. They even did the heart with him, which he loved. I'll definitely be back!

Ask the Community - Build-A-Bear Workshop

How much is it to make a bear?

Anywhere from $12+ depending on your add-ons. If you add things like a scent, a sound, a heartbeat and/or clothing you can end up spending $50+. You can make a pretty decent bear for around $25.

Can you place an order online and pick it up at a factory?

The employee with black hair and glasses came across as rude toward another customer, speaking in a condescending manner and appearing to assume the customer was a scalper. Watching this interaction felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. When other customers tried to ask questions, the same staff member was dismissive and rolled his eyes a few times, which made the overall atmosphere feel unwelcoming. A store like this should feel fun and inviting, especially for collectors and fans who are genuinely excited to be there. That said, I want to be clear that I do like this store overall and have had positive experiences with other staff members in the past, who have always been friendly and helpful. This particular interaction stood out in an unfortunate way and left me feeling disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration and addresses the situation, because this type of behavior is not okay and takes away from what should be a positive experience.

HIP HOP COSTUME - GOLDEN SHOES…read more I enrolled in hip hop performance workshop about a month ago. I would train for 6 weekends. The performances would take place during the last two weekends in June. According to the choreographer the color of our costumes had to be gold, silver, or black. I had an idea what my costume would be. The main article of clothing I had to deal with were the shoes. Should I go with gold or silver? I decided to go with gold. About 3 weeks ago on a Friday I went to the Nike Factory Store at the Great Mall because I remember a pair of golden shoes. There shoes were still there. I believe the retail price was over $100 but they were on sale for about $49. However there was a problem with the size. My feet are Size 8 but I wear 8 1/2; the pair of Nike golden high-tops were Size 9. So I decided not to get these pair. After leaving the store I noticed the vendor Toys N Motion selling a pair of golden shoes. However the size of the shoes look like for toddlers or little kids. I never asked if it sold adult size shoes. A week later I went back to the Nike Factory Store at the Great Mall. Even though the size was slightly big I decided to buy the golden pair of Nike high-tops. However the remaining pairs were sold. I was getting nervous because I wasn't sure were to get a pair of golden shoes. I'm uncomfortable of buying specialty shoes on the web because I'm not sure of the sizes on internet are authentic US sizes. The next day I went to the Nike Clearance Store in San Leandro with the hope of finding the golden pair of high-tops. No luck as that store didn't carry it. Then I drove to the Nike Factory Store at the Livermore Outlets to see if that store had those shoes in stock. As with the San Leandro location the store didn't have it in stock. Since I was at the Livermore Outlets I went to different shoe brand stores such as Under Armour, Puma, adidas, and Converse. The closest thing I could find was a golden pair of Converse. However Converse are uncomfortable to dance in and those pair cost more than the pair I found at the Nike Factory Store in Milpitas. After Livermore I drove back to Milpitas to head to the Nike Factory Store at the Great Mall. I was hoping those pair were misplaced on the wrong shelf. I went to all the different sizes and I couldn't find a pair. After leaving the store I noticed the vendor Toys N Motion. I asked the sales rep if he sold adult size pairs of the golden shoes. He said he does. I asked if he had Size 8 1/2. He checked to see and this vendor had that size in stock. So I tried a pair. They fit well. If I decided to buy these pair I would have to break them in. Time was short in finding the costume. Those pairs were priced at $50 however he would sell them to me for $40. After going to different stores I decided to purchase the pair of golden shoes. I could have saved one week time if I asked this vendor if there were adult size shoes available. So the moral of the story is always ask what you are looking for.

I wait another hour and the owner walks in with 5 more cases. Checks off my name on the list and says I can only buy one etb for 150*** like I was getting a deal or some shit.
