The exhibits are incredibly interactive, and they're constantly changing things out, so there's always something new to discover. The admission prices are already very reasonable, but we ended up getting an annual pass because you can easily make your money back within just a couple of visits. The annual pass also includes free parking, which is a nice bonus. Even better, the membership gives you access to a network of science centers and museums around the country that are part of the same organization, so when you're traveling, there's a good chance you'll be able to visit another participating science museum for free or at a discounted rate. The Discovery Cube itself is much bigger than I expected from the outside. You can easily spend several hours here, especially with younger kids. Pretty much every exhibit is hands-on and interactive, which makes it much more engaging than a traditional museum. My favorite exhibit is the supermarket. You get a shopping cart with a screen and go around the store scanning different items based on the game or challenge on the screen. It's surprisingly fun and also sneaks in some learning about nutrition, shopping, and making healthy choices. Overall, this is one of those places we're happy to keep coming back to, especially with the kids. The annual pass is absolutely worth it if you live nearby and plan on visiting more than once or twice. One small tip: bring hand sanitizer. With so many interactive exhibits and kids touching everything, you'll definitely want it!

I also found out that this visit can be free during the first weekend of the month, for Bank of America account holders. Upon entering the museum, there was a display of build your own racing cars where a lot of kids were racing their creations. It was definitely a fun site to see. As you venture throughout the museum towards the back area, you walk into the dinosaur exhibit area. This is where they talk about fossils and various dinosaurs and there's also an explorer kit that you pay extra to try and find items and clues. Upstairs, you can have a better view of the space missile rocket that's on display and it's quite fascinating to read about rockets. Towards the back right of the museum currently there is a Scooby Doo Halloween exhibit so it was also fun to experience that area. Lastly, the most famous area is still the indoor Minh water area where you can see where is fish and stingrays. Overall a great experience for kids and adults. One less star as you have to pay $10 to park in their parking lot. I remember many years ago I used to be free, but I guess since it's more popular, you have to pay for parking now.

First time we went as a party of 20, and this time we got a great deal through Groupon 12 bucks for kids for an hour of play and trust me, that's more than enough time! Between 11-12 was tiny tots time but we got lucky and since no one showed up by 11:30, we got to go in first and the park was literally empty, we had the entire place to ourselves! From the obstacle courses, and massive jumping house this place makes you get your workout in! For the kids, they had so much fun exploring, doing flips, hiding in the ball pit, and exploring-You need to come to this place! On Saturday nights they have 18 and over which is pretty cool but there's so much to do! They have a refreshment stand with chips, soft drinks, candies, and even ICEE! It is a little hot in there, so bring water that was my only suggestion! Although it's not ninja warrior anymore, this place still packed a punch! They do parties as well and have a large area for your guest and prices are not over the top like other similar places! Overall will we go again, damn right we will! Will we tell others about it, yes we will! It's a great place to get the kids off the screens and into a more athletic atmosphere!

When my 5 year old tried to go into the smaller kid area (ages 4 and under) she was asked to leave by the female teenage employee at the entrance. This was at the same time that a 10 year old girl had been playing in there the past 20-30 minutes. When my daughter came to me crying I tried to walk her in there thinking it must not be a big deal because there were a few big kids in there, who looked to be around ages 8-10. I was surprised to be turned away by that same employee (while the other big kids were still in there). So confusing! I pointed this out and she said "that girl is sitting" (she had been hanging all over the merry go round just minutes before, which is right next to where she was standing at the entrance) and then the employee said "she also has a little brother here" (he looked about 4 or 5). So then I said "okay so can my daughter stay because my 2 year old wants to play in here" she then told us no and blocked us from entering. I went to the front desk and told that girl about the situation and she got the manager. He explained that it's for safety WHICH I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND - but then take out the other big kids so it's not confusing for anyone! He finally did have the bigger kids removed, and there were about 4-5 other way bigger kids than my daughter. It felt like we were being singled out by the staff here. They said they asked the other people to leave the area but they "didn't listen." Lol. So people like me and my daughter who listened were the only ones removed I guess. I guess you can just act like you don't understand and you get to break the rules, even if the rules are there for everyone else's "safety." This could be a learning opportunity for the staff here but you can go find out for yourself. I wanted to avoid this word but it truly felt like discrimination based on us being the only family removed. We won't be returning.

Great place to visit in DCA!…read more Just an FYI, I noticed that unless you have your stroller designated as a wheelchair, you can't bring it in and you have to park it outside for those who have children. Kids love this place as they can run around, go down a slide, and use the tire zipline among the rope climbing areas. I think it's a more physical and interactive space where they can also learn about the wilderness and how we can take care of nature around us versus just running around a regular playground. You can interact with the cast members there and sometimes they have photo pass opportunities here too. For Oogie Boogie Bash, this area is used for the Villain's Grove and during the Xmas season you can meet Santa here or decorate some cookies. I went during the Hoppers Collaboration and it's a cute little "scavenger hunt" with signs of the critter characters, a puzzle to decode, and photo opportunities with some free stickers. Super cute and fun! Hope it becomes permanent since the theme is perfect and since I love Tom Lizard.

The two examples they had to try out in the store had poor responses to their controllers; Antonio informed us that they're broken. When I mentioned that that is not a great way to sell their products, he said he isn't going to change them out until they're completely useless because kids just keep messing them up. I responded that this isn't a good testament to their quality. He continued the conversation with a slight bitterness about how children play so I stopped; kids are the main reason for your source of income- you should probably be nicer (I did not say this to him though I wanted to). The quality overall was quite low (everything is plastic!) so we opted to build models instead. The girl who showed us that was enthusiastic and helpful. We spent over 150$ on our custom vehicles; I got cool skull accessories on my truck. This store is better if you want to throw a party than to leave with a toy that will last. There's cheaper RTR and kits with far better quality than this place carries. The night before our party, the RGB host actually FaceTimed us and walked us through what was available for the party, including the plates, forks, cups, chairs, and games. That was incredibly helpful because we knew exactly what we needed to bring before arriving. On the day of the party, they let us come in at 10:30 AM to set up for our 11:00 reservation. The person running the front desk was professional, helpful, and very clear about the rules and how everything worked. Most importantly, the kids had an absolute blast. They were running around, playing, and came out sweaty and happy. The games kept them entertained without the parents having to manage everything, while the adults were able to relax, eat pizza, and actually talk in the party room. When our reservation ended at 12:30, our guests helped us clean up and we finished vacating around 12:40. RGB was very reasonable and didn't try to charge us extra while we were actively cleaning and leaving. The party even continued afterward with some of the kids playing at the outdoor chess area nearby. Our son had a fantastic 6th birthday, his friends had a blast, and the parents were able to enjoy themselves too. The staff made the entire experience easy from the night before through cleanup. We would absolutely recommend RGB Run for a kids' birthday party and would happily come back.

My mom introduced my kids to claw machines and they fell in love. I knew it would be a pricey outing but they really enjoyed themselves. The machines were mostly winnable. I noticed the 2 machines with Pokémon plushies in them were noticeably harder to win. They have workers walking around and rearranging the plushies to be able to win easier. And if they noticed you having an extra hard time, I've seen both set it up to basically guarantee you win. This type of customer service was the reason I went back and bought the second $100 round. You obviously do not need to spend as much as I did but I enjoyed watching my kids having fun. Even though my 2 year old was refusing help and would essentially waste the tokens. She double tapped and pushed the claw down the shoot at least 20 times but she really wanted to do it herself so I let her. At the end, we had enough to trade up for anything. And all my daughter really wanted were the toy story plushies. They traded at 2 for 1. The lotso was won in one of the machines. The alien was not out but when the worker noticed my daughter wanting the toy story characters, she told us to wait a minute because she thinks there's alien in the back. She came back with one and my daughter had to have it. So we traded 8 plushies for Woody, Buzz, Hamm, and an alien. As we were leaving, I had extras to trade but not enough for the really big ones or anything I really wanted. That's when one of the workers (I really wish I got her name. But she worked today, 8/19 at around 3pm) told me about their credit system. You can give them the plushies you'd like to use as trade in credit and they put it into their system with your name and number for next time to use. I love this since you cannot trade them once you walk out with them. I'll be back when my budget allows my kids to run wild again.

Parents, just be aware: you can be a paying customer with your children and still be kicked out without a warning over something you were never told was a rule. The playground is bigger than other ones I've been to in the area. -There is a cafe place inside with food, which I like because we could snack on something, get drinks and my kid could continue playing. The food is also pretty decent here. -There are many game machines that line the front area leading to the playground (think Boomers Vibe). -The party room towards the back of the facility has decent size, I would say it can fit up to 30 people. -The process is simple: we go to the counter where kids enter to play, pay the tickets, fill in the waiver forms electronically with QR code, then the kids/ adults get the paper wrist bands and can enter the playground. -No shoes inside the playground (there's a cubby for shoes past the playground entrance). Anti-skid Socks are required in the playground and can be purchased if we forget ours. -Employees are pretty nice. They look really young (around early college years just after high school). I hope they are trained well in regards to emergency situation when it comes to kids (this is neither positive nor negative so I'm keeping it a neutral perspective here). The cons: 1. There used to be a person at the door checking people entering and leaving the place to ensure kids don't leave with strangers (just like Chuck e Cheese). We didn't see anyone here upon entering but I ocassionally saw an employee coming back to that spot (maybe their job is not stationed there all the time? Which is strange). 2. They charge one adult ticket, on top of kids' tickets for kids under 7 yr old, which is unreasonable considering adults don't "play" in this area. 3. There is no outlet anywhere at the benchs/ tables so we can plug in our phone charger/ laptops.
