This review is somewhat long over due. I placed an online order of some items to pick up at Main Place Mall. I called them because boxlunch doesn't notify you/me when the item(s) are ready. Spoke with Anthony who had to give me the disappointing news that a few of my items weren't available and apologized that the online website didn't reflect it. He went above and beyond, calling the nearby and not so nearby stores, to see if they had any, then took it upon himself to have those items on hold for me. I really appreciated the fact that he took it upon himself to make the calls and have it on hold, so that I did t have to do the searching myself. It's really hard to find someone that, not only has the customer service, but also takes initiative in helping clients. I really hope your mgmt and/or execs give Anthony the proper recognition that he deserves. read more

I went in and one of the workers and the manager talked down on me and my cousin for being dressed different and had someone follow me because one of the workers had said they didn't trust me or my cousin for being , dressed the way we did and I had went in with my daughter and my Tia and cousin and I didn't Deserve to be treated like that being from a whole different County to a new one. is this how you treat your customers and later, acting all nice and innocent after knowing what they did? There are sooo many great pop culture gifts here and a HUGE Loungefly selection! The employees were so kind and were very gracious about helping me reach things on some very tall shelves. They even have a little section of small items like unique candies and such that would be great for stocking stuffers! Prices are not cheap, but I think the items are worth the price tags. I am definitely a patron of nerd-chandise (nerd merchandise)! BoxLunch is by far my favorite place to gear up in any of the following fandoms that I love -- Harry Potter, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Sailor Moon, etc. The list continues. They even have Jurassic Park and Pokemon! I mean, come on!! This place is bomb! Everyone that works there is so nice. The new store manager, who came from Irvine Irvine Spectrum's location, is so knowledgeable! For the most part, I am able to talk about cool/fun/nerdy things with them. Most of them seem to know me, which could mean a bad thing because that will mean I am a regular. The sad and a bonus part on my end is that this BoxLunch at MainPlace Mall is my go-to. It doesn't help that the 24 Hour Fitness and Starbucks there are where I go religiously. Thus walking from Point A to Point B, the store is right in the middle. A huge bonus is I feel good shopping there because they have a good cause. "With every $10 spent in-store or online, BoxLunch will help provide one meal* to a person in need through the Feeding America network of food banks." Of course I round up when I can just to help! Super cool pop culture store in Main Place! Kids and I had fun browsing in here for about 30 minutes! BoxLunch reminds me of ThinkGeek. Lots of nerd merch, with sections for Nightmare Before Christmas, Nintendo, Netflix shows, Pusheen, Bob's Burgers, Star Wars, NASA, etc. Found lots of cool stuff, and several items would make great White Elephant gifts! Kids wanted to buy everything in the place, so we finally left for my sanity. But I took lots of pictures and mental notes for Christmas presents! BTW, they are currently on their Christmas return policy, which means you can return items with receipt (or gift receipt) until 1/31! read more

I ordered a demon slayer box figurine for a birthday. It was delivered in a BAG packaging... so obviously it came damaged (it looked as if it got stepped on). The person receiving this gift collects these figures in the boxes and doesn't open the box so I needed an intact box. I called customer service and they said they would send a new one with overnight shipping. (Didn't come over night it took 2 days) when it finally arrived it came once again in a BAG packaging instead of a box to protect it and it came DAMAGED! I called again and they said I had to go down to a box lunch and return it to get a refund. I asked them why they didn't send it in a box to protect the figurine's box? They said THEY DIDN'T HAVE BOXES BIG ENOUGH... what ? I've ordered loungefly backpacks from them and they arrive in much bigger boxes then the demon slayer figure I ordered. I asked to speak to a higher up and it was denied. RIDICULOUS!!! read more

Asian girl working closing shift literally kicked us out at 6:48 lmao it says it closes at 7. We only wanted to buy some shirts that I'm sure we're going to take less than 5 mins but that's not the point. If you're gonna be closing 20 mins before 7 update your hrs so people don't drive to your store and waste their time and gas. Also the guy who answered my phone call literally told me we had 20 mins before they close but when we get there we get kicked out Bc it's closed already lmao read more

So I called the store as soon as it opened and spoke with Mercedes I asked her if the new zero Pop came in and she was like yeah !!! I asked her can you hold it for me I will pick it up before the day ends and she said sure let me get your name down. I sent my daughter to pick it up for me they gave my daughter this excuse that they weren't allowed to hold pops and that my pop was not available for me completely disappointed with the store and their customer service . They need to train their employees with more information on reserving items for store pickups read more

This store is AMAZING! I was visiting family in SoCal and we walked by BoxLunch the day after Black Friday, when I saw a ton of Disney stuff through the window! I was automatically drawn to the store, I just had to go in! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My cousins and I left the store feeling happy to have walked in! I left with three new shirts and when I got home I shopped more on their website! 10/10 experience :) read more

I love this store! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. You can tell the employees enjoy what they do. I love the vibe of the store, they always have cool unique stuff you dont see anywhere else. I cant believe anyone could give these guys a bad review.....especially over web orders which the store has no control of and the hold policies which are posted all over and on their instagram. None of the box lunch stores hold pops. The store its self and the employees who work there are fantastic. read more
