    Seriously how. How!

My review is on Bubblefest. How has the lady, Melody, performed this show for 30 years and not figure out how to blow bubbles to the left of her? My kids were on the floor, on her left side, and as I was in the stand all I could think to myself was "How the heck does she only blow bubbles on one side". And then I realized it is the way she stands and holds the wand. Anyways, disappointed to see all the kids on her right side get up, literally, off the floor to catch bubbles. My two girls on the left side? Nothing. For a family of four, $100 dollars later, not worth it. If you plan on attending sit on the side where I drew circles. Disappointment for sure. I was sad my kids even noticed. I was hoping it was just an adult observation, but no, not at all.

We visited the discovery cube for the first time with our 4 year old daughter and our 1.5 year old son. My overall assessment was that I would give this place 4.5 stars which rounds up to 5. While i can see why other yelpers gave the discovery cube less than 4 stars, my son and daughter loved this place and were thoroughly entertained and engaged for hours. For a place like this caters to young children the enjoyment of my kids ranks highly when it comes to the overall review. Parking - they have 2 parking lots. It was easy to pay and park despite having to park in the overflow parking across the street. Food - I found the food to be decent overall all. The pizza and the burgers were good. We also ordered a cheese toast that was just satisfactory. However the prices were great. We were able to get 2 burgers, a personal pizza, a cheese toast, and a cookie for $40. This is a great price for these types of attractions. Water - they have several water refill stations thru out the facility. Aesthetics - as others have mentioned this location could use some remodeling. However I didn't feel that the overall aesthetics took away from the enjoyment of the kids. It's more something that adults would notice. Staff - overall the staff was helpful and kind. For such a large place I felt that the amount of staff was limited. My only negative comment regarding the staff was that the lady at fish tank was quite stern while enforcing the rules of the aquarium. Perhaps she was having a bad day but I felt she could enforce the rules while being kinder. I think that some of the activities could have been better organized especially during busy days. On the flip side the lady at the front desk was really kind and helpful when we asked about memberships. Membership - we ended up getting a yearly membership since we learned that the cost of admission for the day could be credited toward a membership. Additionally they had extra discounts for first responders, educators, etc. Fun and games - this place has something for everyone. From a grocery store simulations, remote controlled rovers, outside water tables, car tracks, and more, kids can spend hours being entertained and engaged. My family will definitely be coming back since we got the membership!

Great interactive place with lots of fun activities to do especially for the children. They have areas from Dinosaurs to Space, rockets, car racing and my favorite was the Eco Shopper Supermarket where the kids can learn to shop and do self checkout. Another great spot was the fun way they did an interactive to learn about waste management. Lots of kids were having fun there. I don't have small kids but it was a fun place to walk around and see all the kids learning and have fun at the same time

This place had so much for our kids to be entertained for HOURS! There is so much to do--two stories of perfectly categorized/separated/themed activities complete with an outdoor dinosaur exhibit. For how busy it was, I felt like the spaces were clean and well-organized. They even have food there, which we did not visit, but in case you wanted to make a whole day of it you totally could. Your kids can "shop" for items in a cool grocery store, watch a movie about the anatomy and physiology of the heart, see sea life in an indoor aquarium, play with several physics inspired displays, climb on indoor climbing areas, and so much more. There is literally something for every one of every age. We came with no expectations and we will definitely be returning at some point in the future!

Discovery cube orange county is such a fun place to bring your family. There are activities for young kids and adults ranging from stem activities to geography, environmental, exhibits that's very educational and helps expand kids curiosity, and invoke critical thinking. Shows the things of human advancement and how far we've come through science. The venues quote is very spacious compared to our Los Angeles location lot bigger with more intricate exhibits and interactive exhibits. We like it so much we ended up buying the family pass so that we can come more often and if you get the pass, you should purchase the parking as well and if you end up bringing a friend or two, you could buy a companion pass (up to two), about half the price of a regular pass. There is a food court. I've only eaten there once the food is good with kids friendly menu. Right now they have the bubble fest which is an additional cost $15 per person. It gives you one ticket to the bubble show with melody yang a professional bubble artist, along with access to the bubble area by the exit with different interactive bubble activities, which is a lot of fun and my daughter enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend checking out the bubble show with Melody yang it was really good and creative. Highly recommend checking out discovery cube Orange County and consider buying the family pass cause you will definitely want to come back for their seasonal exhibits that they have. We look forward to coming back

I took my grandson Bi‑Lu today and oh boy, we had a blast. The Bubble Show alone is worth the entire trip -- seriously, it's that good. Discovery Cube has created an entire bubble zone that's pure magic. Bi‑Lu was completely in his element, engaging with the mighty bubbles, and the way the whole area is designed makes it perfect for toddlers... and honestly, adults too hehe. It's hands‑on, joyful, and full of those moments you want to bottle up forever. If you're looking for a place that sparks curiosity and brings out the kid in everyone, this is it.

My son thoroughly had a great time here. Between the car race track and the dinosaur area, he was in full exploration overload. I've driven past this place hundreds of times, always saying I would stop, and now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. What I will say is that this place is not in the same vein as the California Science Center in Los Angeles. That venue is generally geared toward elementary- to middle-school-aged students, and adults can certainly enjoy the experience as well. Discovery Cube, on the other hand, is really just for small kids. Adults would likely have a hard time here, as it's clearly not designed for adults. We will be back.

What a wonderful experience. The location is huge, with so many interactive exhibits that kept us engaged the entire time. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help or explain how things work. Parking was rough at first, but I happened to get a good spot, and once inside it was completely worth it. The space is clean, well organized, and perfect for kids and adults alike. There's a great balance of fun and learning, making it an ideal place for families, school groups, or anyone curious about science and discovery. Food was delicious and worth the price. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. Overall, a fantastic place to spend a few hours I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

I visited Discovery Cube in Santa Ana with a friend and her 3-year-old granddaughter. It's an interactive science museum that is definitely geared toward children. There were quite a few people there, and admission was about $22 for kids and seniors and around $25 for other adults. They also offer discounts for military and educators. There were many different activities for kids to explore. A lot of the exhibits were focused on rocks, gems, and minerals, and they even have a store where you can purchase stones and souvenirs. There were also hands-on areas like touch tanks with fish, climbing and rope activities, and educational exhibits about the human body, including information about the heart. My friend's granddaughter had a wonderful time -- she was running, jumping, laughing, and really enjoying herself. For me, it was just okay, mainly because it is truly designed for young kids. We arrived around 3:00 PM and stayed a couple of hours, but I would recommend allowing at least 3 hours to fully experience everything. Overall, I would highly recommend Discovery Cube for families with children, even though I probably wouldn't return on my own.

Cleanliness 3 Costs 2 Cuisine 2 Customer service 4 This place was fun for about 45 min. Definitely for ages 3-9. The price is a bit high, especially for the adults when all you are doing at times is supervising your children. The food has small portions and the tater tots tasted like they were straight from the freezer. They have an aquatic exhibit where you can touch sea animals. We will probably not go back unless adults are free.

I was originally very skeptical of this place, because it was priced pretty high for a children's museum! It was $22 per kid and $25 per adult and under 3 is free. But after spending the day at this museum, I can understand why it cost a little bit more than other children's museums that are only $10-$15. I thought the museum was very well done. The exhibits are super interactive and educational. The exhibits are also well kept and big, like the dinosaur section that had massive dinosaurs, as well as the scavenger hunt to find the dinosaurs and a sand pit! And this is only one of the rooms in the entire museum. There was also an ocean room where the kids could play on a submarine and do a bunch of crafts as well as get into a bounce house. Tons of cool artistry and blow up animals as well as educational stewards around teaching people about things. And there was also a touch pull downstairs to keep going with the ocean theme. There was a shopping center where you can do a little scavenger hunt for food, there was a recycle game where you can also learn about recycling as you play a game, a race, car section where you can learn about different types of force, earthquakes simulator, and all sorts of other little activities for the kids to get into around the whole museum! We came on Labor Day weekend, so it was pretty freaking busy, but they set up a bunch of tables around the museum for kids to do extra arts and crafts, which helps spread the crowd out a little bit more and made it feel less overwhelming. We also noticed that the upstairs was much less busy than the downstairs because there's so much more to do for the kids downstairs has fewer exhibits, except for the dinosaurs outside. The one super difficult thing is the parking! We got there around 12 PM, which was actually a positive because the lot was originally full in the morning, but it was now open again, because people were leaving from when they came early at opening. We weren't able to find a slot in the parking lot next to the museum itself, but we went to the overflow lot and found the spot quickly. But I honestly think we were just lucky! When we came at 12, there were a lot of cars driving around in circles looking for parking and we just happened to find one when we moved to the other overflow parking lot. I'm not sure if you come early in the morning! Maybe it is a bunch better than if you come at 12 PM. Either way, be prepared to fight for parking a little bit if you come later, or you're not one of the first people entering the museum. My kids probably could've stayed till 5 PM which is when it closed, but I was tired, so we left around 4:15 PM. At that time the parking lot was pretty empty. Service was really good! All the workers and volunteers were very kind to the kids. I would definitely recommend this as a good activity for people with young children.

Kids will love this! There are so many hands on activities and ways to interact. It's very loud so bring head phones for sensitive kids. There is a place to buy limited snacks but you can bring your own and there are table to eat at. Wear tennis shoes because you will put in a lot of steps through out the day. It's fun for little kids I brought a 3 and 4 year old but older elementary kids would probably enjoy it too. They do Not take cash so bring your debit/credit card.

Where a kid can be a kid, and it's fun for adults too! You always see the giant cube driving on the 5 freeway so it's time to finally come in. There are so many exhibits here because it's a two story building, and some outside exhibits also. There are things such as petting sea animals, building a toy car, lying on a bed of nails, building Legos, being in a wind turbine, playing with remote cars, and a space shuttle exhibit. I can spend at least three hours here with my daughter since she never wants to leave. Parking is not included which is $10 in their lot.

Ask the Community - Discovery Cube Orange County

Would adults still have a good time without kids?

Honestly, no. I went with my husband, mom and my niece. We took her there during summer break and we soent about 3 hours there, mostly because she wanted to stop at everything. If it was just us we wouldn't be going in.

How much is a day pass for a senior and a child of 7 years?

    $18, $20 for 62+ senior, $8 to park

    Are Teachers free?

Yes. You need to show your school ID.

Do they offer a AAA discount?

They didn't when I went several months ago.

Are there field trips during the summer? What time is it best to go to avoid field trips? After 1?

Yes! Tons of kids in the mornings always. Best to go after 1 or the weekend. They added some really cool stuff but it's definitely impossible to do anything because of all the field trips in the mornings.

Is this a good place for a date?

If you two enjoy science and children then it's a yes! Interactive and loud...fun if you don't mind it all.

We went few weeks ago and masks not required.

How long can we expect to stay here? Trying to plan our trip. TIA!

When our family visits we account for two hours. We have annual pass. Otherwise you could count on a few hours.

Is there still free entrance with Bank Of America account? Thank you

Yes, on the first Sunday of the first full weekend of every month, Bank of America cardholders get one free ticket.

Are they enforcing vaccine proof and or negative Covidtest?

Not in Mid December when I went. Nothing was asked

    Are masks required?

    Yes

Is the grocery store exhibit game still there?

    Yes it is

Are they open on holidays? like Labor day?

Yes, we are open on all major holidays EXCEPT Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Do they have stuff for 1 and a half year olds?

Short answer- yes, but not much. I just took my 2.5 year old and there was enough to keep him engaged for a few hours. For a 1.5 year old, I cant imagine spending more than an hour, maybe two, and you'd still need to be heavily involved in what… Read more

There were a lot of different areas but it was hard for my daughter to actually do anything because the areas were packed and a lot of the items were missing from the areas due to kids moving them around. That's understandable -kids will be kids- but because there were so many kids the staff couldn't keep up with putting the items back in the designated areas. For example, we went to the "mail room" there was literally no mail in it. We went to the tool/building area and there were literally no tools and not enough building materials to build anything. This was pretty much every area we went to. The amount of kids also made it super overstimulating for my daughter. Normally when we go to these kinds of places it's calm and she is actually able to learn, play, interact etc. Lastly, it's expensive. Normally when we go to these kinds of places an adult is included when paying for a child to enter. Here, you have to pay for an adult and child ticket - so it was 44$ for the both of us. Totally not worth the price when it is so overrun.

Super cute, whimsical and magical experience at the Museum of Make Believe…read more After seeing some Instagram posts and reels about the cute space, my friend and I decided to stop by to visit for a day trip. You do choose a time slot to enter, but due to traffic we were going to be a little bit late. We called and let the staff know and it was no biggie. Parking is a bit confusing since it's near a very busy road and residential area, so just make sure you're not parking where you can get fined or towed. After some confusion, we parked in the structure (unclear if allowed or not, but subsequently nothing happened. Phew!). The museum is located at the business plaza building and immediately stands out with it's beautiful storefront and the door that looks like it's out of a fairytale. Immediately we were welcomed by Sabrina, who was not only super informative (but in an easy to understand, not overwhelming way), but super friendly and made our visit that much more amazing. She knows the lore, knew the key and critical points to swoop in to enhance the magic (like when we went to ask the wise wizard some questions), and was very accommodating overall. The people really do make the magic. During your visit, you can opt to do the scavenger hunts and answer the riddles for some prizes and it varies in difficulty from easy to hard, but everything is open to interpretation based on YOUR IMAGINATION. It's the Museum of Make Believe for a reason. The attention to detail is immaculate, from the miniatures and dioramas, the foliage on the ceiling to the ground, and even in the water closet, there's so much to see and you can easily spend a long time just taking everything in. I won't include spoilers but I love that there's not just a lot to see, but to experience through sound and even smell! Lots of thought went into this museum and I'm glad it's getting expanded as well! Can't wait to see what the future holds for such a magical place!

There is a small food court, a gift shop, and 2 floors of exhibitions. They have plenty of restrooms around the area, which was nice for changing diapers or for toddlers needing a restroom break. There are plenty of staff and volunteers around the exhibits who can guide you or answer any questions. All the staff we encountered during our visit were friendly. Ensuring these would be consistently refilled would be a great improvement especially in a children's environment

We took breaks leaving the soft play area but I wish someone was there to remind parents of the age group intended for the soft play area especially since the rest of the museum is open to the older children. This was the only section truly available for babies. I also wish there was staff wiping down the area more often or at least have sanitizing wipes available outside of the play area, especially since babies drool and spit up. I was there for 2 hours and didn't see any staff tidying up or wiping the area down. Some of the soft play sections were separated too where there would be small open spaces revealing the concrete underneath which was a little disappointing because it didn't feel so safe. The gate to close the section off kept opening up too. Aside from the issues above, my baby enjoyed himself. The soft play area is honestly small but I imagine it looks huge from my baby's perspective. There's a mirror, lots of hills and steps, and there's a little slide. He loved every second of it. He also loved the installation on the ceiling above the soft play area. Parking in the garage is free for 90 minutes I believe and it's right next to the museum. The staff at the desk are kind. You leave your strollers at the lobby in front of the front desk. There's several restrooms and there's a nursing/quiet room with 2 rocking chairs facing each other. I wish there was a privacy screen or something though because I was just nursing in front of a stranger and I would have felt more comfortable if we weren't directly facing each other haha. The rest of the museum was great. Lots of sections for older children to run around.

They do have a handwashing station outside so I appreciate that after the messy play. I also love the art installation, it's big colorful bugs and insects. Would recommend you checking it out.

A huge shoutout to Michele, our party planner, who was incredibly communicative, organized, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She made everything feel easy and seamless, and truly helped create such a special, memorable day for my daughter and her friends. The setup and decor were beautiful, and everything was ready to go when we arrived, which made a big difference when hosting a group of excited kids! The space itself is amazing, with so many engaging, hands-on activities for a wide range of ages (definitely up to around 10). The kids were entertained the entire time. Even better, so many of the parents were raving about the experience and how much their kids loved it, which says a lot. Highly recommend hosting a party here if you're looking for something fun, interactive, and well-organized. We had the best time!
