I sold my home and moved to an area that Alamo does not service. Every representative who contacted me about my cancellation asked why I was leaving, and every time I gave the same answer: I no longer own the home where service was being provided. The problem wasn't the monthly charge--it was the cancellation process and customer service. I was told that I would still be charged for June because my cancellation request was recorded on May 12, even though I recall contacting the company earlier. Regardless, I don't understand why it takes weeks to process a cancellation. There appears to be no clear paper trail or straightforward process for cancelling service. Customers have to speak with a representative, but there is no immediate written confirmation and no transparency around when the cancellation actually becomes effective. It feels like the company decides the cancellation date rather than the customer. What was most disappointing was being told that my contract from 2017 wasn't set to renew until September and that the representative was "graciously" canceling it early. After nearly a decade as a loyal customer, I expected appreciation and professionalism, not the feeling that I was being done a favor. To make matters worse, I was told I would receive an email confirming my cancellation, but instead I received an email asking me to submit a written cancellation request. If written notice was required, why was I instructed to call and speak with multiple representatives in the first place? Alamo's pest control service itself was generally fine. My issue is with the lack of transparency, inconsistent communication, and poor treatment of a long-term customer during the cancellation process. The company should do better.

Had a raccoon bust into my attic by tearing open part of the eaves on my roof. After hearing it…read morecome and go for a few nights, I knew I had a problem. I reached out to Rodent Retreat specifically because they are a local veteran-owned business, not a franchise. The whole team was amazing. I was able to schedule an inspection right away, and the gentleman who came explained different options to humanely remove the raccoon and prevent any other critters (including field mice and roof rats) from getting to the house. Based on the services I selected, they came back several times to repair the eaves, seal up possible points of entry on the roof and around the foundation, set rodent traps in the attic and garage, and sanitize the attic. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite, communication was exceptional, and pricing is very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend Rodent Retreat!

No complaints about the service and promtness of response. My complain is we paid $2500 for a "full…read moreexclusion" and what turned out to be 2 squirrels. 1 year warranty only. We feel the amount should have been adjusted to the gravity of the situation in our the attic. We regret paying this much for just a couple of squirrels which, by the way, were not taken away as I had assumed, but only pushed out. They are still running around out backyard and we know it's only a matter of time before they will be back in the attic (or else they would not push for a warranty extension).
