We had our chimney cleaned and they recommended that we spend $850.00 for a chemical clean, $850.00 to repair a chimney crown, and $350.00 to replace the chimney cap. Seemed a little price so I called around for a second opinion and was able to get the chimney chemically cleaned for $399.00. He said the crown was not in need a repaired and the cap was fine too. When he observed the chimney, he could not believe we had it swept 2 weeks ago. read more

I got in touch with Rich at Right Way Chimney via Yelp, here and he was prompt to get back to me and schedule an appointment. He was on time and explained everything as he cleaned and inspected our chimney. He was also extremely careful to keep his working area covered, which was of course appreciated. The quote for the work was right on target and a great value. I definitely recommend him. I'll certainly be calling on Right Way Chimney when it's time for another chimney cleaning! read more

I just had two chimneys cleaned and the dryer vent. Rich is a super nice guy and did a great job with everything. Scheduling with him was easy and he showed up early for the appointment. I love that he has you address two post cards that he will mail me in two years to remind me it's time for a cleaning again. I really enjoyed chatting with Rich and I highly recommend using him. read more

Rich is the best! Initially I called for a routine chimney cleaning, unfortunately it turned into a bit more. He educated me on chimneys internal functions as all I knew was add wood and light. He ended up relining the internals and installed a fireplace insert to maximize heat in our home. Since the install, I haven't had to turn on our heater and been using only our wood stove insert to heat the majority of our home. read more

I had used Right Way Chimney for a good fireplace/chimney cleaning over a year ago. They did an excellent job. They recommended some heavy repairs for my fireplace, which we have not gotten done yet but will definitely use them for the future repairs! read more

Following the Wolsey fire, our HOA requested that fireplaces be inspected and cleaned. (It was a narrow miss for our homes and ash buildup was substantial.) I called Right Way at the suggestion of a neighbor and I'm so glad I did! I probably had 8 years worth of buildup in my wood-burning fireplace in addition to the wildfire. The tech, Nick, exclaimed that it was "filthy" but he cleaned it well within the hour quote I was given and left no sign he'd been there. Excellent cleanup, especially with a job that was long overdue. The tech was late due to another job and traffic but called multiple times to update me so that's all you can really ask following a catastrophe. They're probably inundated with jobs. Following this, I won't risk my fireplace going this long without a proper cleaning again. Right Way will be part of my regular home maintenance now! read more

Left a message on cleaning a zero clearance fireplace/chimney that was due for a long time. Got lucky on a cancelled appointment and a couple of days later they were out here....... on time! In @ out within 1 1/2 hrs, tarp flooring and clean! Looked at firebox and gave recommendations on using a reflector to protect walls, and cost to replace panels. No BS here, they just want to keep you safe. Definitely would use in the future. read more

Right Way Chimney Service went above and beyond for us. They were extremely thorough and provided excellent customer service. They arrived on time and did an EXCELLENT job. They performed major repairs to our chimney and they even did MORE work for no additional charge. We were missing our gas key and they even gave us one for free. Quality work, experience, knowledgeable, fair pricing and good old fashioned impeccable customer service. Can't ask for more than that. Support local small businesses! Call Sean Davis. He is amazing! read more

So, about 3 years ago, Rich re-faced my fireplace. His crew did a nice job on the surface. Now last week I had my chimney cleaned and inspected and found that the crew never completed the work and I could have had a fire spark ignite exposed wiring. I will post photos of the exposed seams in the walls. I used to refer Rich and Rite Way to clients - well, I guess I need to re-evaluate this. read more

Called and left a message to call back and nothing! Poor follow-up. They seem to have great reviews but why they don't return calls I don't understand. Also just spoke to a friend who filled out 2 separate online request forms and no response as well! read more

Right Way Chimney - Chimney Sweeps Near Me

I wish I could give zero stars. I scheduled a fireplace replacement for December, 4 2018 waited 2 weeks for they come and install a new fireplace. They came December, 5 2018 demolished my existing fireplace, damaged 3 levels of my house (living room walls on the first level, my closet walls 2nd level and my roof deck 3rd level) On December, 7th I contacted them and they told me they wouldn't be able to install same type of fireplace I had (wood burning fireplace) and they wanted additional $750 dollars to complete the work. I was desperate so I immediately agreed and they told me they would only try to schedule the new fireplace installation DECEMBER 26 2018. When I attempted to contact company owner I was advised that he was out of town! I confronted the condescending receptionist/secretary and guess what the only think they could offer me was to close the fireplace with drywall (!!!!!!!) Really? Horrible! Stay away from this company. read more

They cleaned our two chimneys and very dirty dryer vent line. Great customer service, very professional, incredibly prompt and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

Love Rightway Chimney! I am a realtor and I have been using Rich and them for years for myself and also my clients. Rich is very thorough and fair. When it comes to safety with regards to a fireplace functioning properly or having my dryer vent/lint cleaned out every 2-3 years for the dryer you don't want to mess around. Many people don't even realize the importance of having the vent cleaned periodically for the dryer. It can build up and cause a fire, Ive seen it happen more than once! I recommend everyone make sure whether you own or your renting to have this done if it hasn't been done in the past 3 or more years! read more

I was referred by a neighbor and I am happy I went with them. They drove 2 hours out to LA to do our dryer vent and chimney sweep. We actually hadn't used the fireplace since we moved in and there was a lot of rust on the damper door along with dust, spider webs etc. Justin was a really nice and honest guy. He took his time and we are very pleased with his work. No mess either! We also purchased a spark arrestor cap from him since we didn't have one. read more

Right Way was fast to respond and got us into their schedule for a chimney cleaning and safety inspection within a week or two. The technician Adam identified some cracks in the paneling in the firebox that will eventually need to be replaced and I felt that he gave me real answers that served me best rather than trying to push anything. We will definitely move forward with Right Way when we want to have that work done and for any future cleanings, as well. I would highly recommend Right Way to anyone looking for chimney service! read more

Very happy with the service I received today. Sean was conscientious, informative, and clearly knew what he was doing. I wish I had taken before and after pictures! Great and honest company! I received a quote from another company for upwards of $4k, I sent the quote to Right away, and they quoted me $2.5k based on the same work. I hired them for the job and when they came out to do the work they said it would actually take only a few hours to fix and dropped the price by $1.3k. The workers were respectful and wore masks while in the house read more

Our house was built with a pre-cast concrete fireplace & chimney from the now-defunct Rampart General company. It had developed several long, exterior cracks that were widening with time. We called Right Way to inspect it and recommend solutions. Sean came out and looked carefully at everything. We followed his suggestions, which were to fill and seal the cracks, tuckpoint and paint the exterior, and cap the chimney to prevent birds, bugs, and animals from nesting inside. Everything came out even better than we had hoped. Sean was very patient with all of our questions and did a great job of explaining the "why" and "how" of the repairs. Throughout all of this, Nora, the dispatcher, did a great job of managing the work to fit our schedule and keep the everything on track. We highly recommend Right Way to anyone who has chimney and/or fireplace problems. read more

After researching chimney cleaners we landed on Right Way because of all of their great reviews. They did not disappoint! They worked quickly and efficiently, and were very transparent about the entire process. They never tried to sell us any services we didn't need, and they were neat and tidy. Highly recommend. We will be calling them again when it's time for our next cleaning. read more

Unfortunately this guy had no clue what we needed. Waited for an estimate for over a week wrong parts and missing parts. Never heard from him again. If you dont know what your doing please just say so instead if waistline our time. You were missing 20 plus foot of pipe on your invoice. You said you would order it and get back to me nothing. You walked in and said there's a beam there to which I replied it's a 2 story house it has to go through the wall. Sooo I dint know how many you've dine but you didn't exceed confidence to me. You also told us 3 days due an invoice we waited over a week Don't get in and reply with false information. read more

Right way Chimney was amazing and quick and the most affordable estimate I received. I was able to get an appointment the same week, and have someone come out before I left for work! - On time 6:55am !! Absolutely just the best crew and workmanship. I would advise anyone thinking of building a fireplace or cook center to use them.

5/14/18 We had Right Way out again for a dryer vent cleaning. I got a call roughly 40 minutes before our appointment time letting us know they were done with their previous job early and asking if it would be okay to arrive a half-hour early. Now, I'm used to 2-hour windows with service providers usually showing up towards the end of that window, so you lose large chunks of your day. Not the case with Right Way. Mason was our tech this time and he got right to work on our dryer vent. He was very careful with our appliances and walls, swept out the vent, sealed everything up when he was done. Very professional and had a great attitude. Looking forward to being able to dry my laundry in one cycle now! read more

Did a great job replacing damaged fire brick and cleaning out my chimney. Would recommend

Great company, great technicians and great customer service! We had received a couple of bids for chimney cleaning. In both cases, we were told the chimney was unusable and would require anywhere from 50% to 100% replacement. Based on a neighbor referral, I figured I would give Right Way a try. If they came back with the same assessment, I knew I'd have to bite the bullet. Rich returned phone message quickly to set up appointment. Justin came out and I said nothing about the previous examinations. Justin did just as thorough a job as the other services, but came back with a FAR different assessment -- one that saved me literally thousands of dollars! Within two visits, our chimney was back to full operational condition (we've already used it several times since) and we have money left over for firewood! RWCS also provides dryer vent cleaning, Justin's attention to detail was apparent there as well. He walked me through the process and after he was done, explained what he found and his corrective actions. Highly recommend RWCS! read more

They completed the work in a timely and professional manner. Update: Rich the owner just called me. It seems his secretary had an emergency and had to leave today, but she left without confirming appointments. Oh well, stuff happens. Fortunately he reached out and confirmed our appointment. The Yelp got his attention, so this does work. Pending tomorrow's work I'm hoping to update this to 5 stars! Is this company still in business? I scheduled a repair for tomorrow about 3-4 weeks ago. When they didn't call to confirm with me today I called them and left a message around 12:30, then again at 4:00 and each time all I got was voicemail. It seems someone should have contacted me by now especially with a full day repair scheduled for tomorrow starting at 7 am! They have great reviews, but I have to rate them "Meh" with their very poor communication and follow up. read more

The owner of the company and his son were together in unison and were very professional also very cost conscious I thought I was going to have to replace my fireplace they gave me a couple more years use and cleaned it out anyone could have taken advantage of the situation and done the work for profit and gain these people were honest and helped me extend the life of my fireplace and its use so that I didn't have to end up spending money unnecessarily read more

My wife left the review below, which is accurate, but I feel Right Way deserves a BIT more credit--Justin was very nice and prompt and fully explained a couple issues he told me to keep my eye on. However, as my wife notes, he couldn't find the gas keyhole for the fireplace and suggested it was maybe hidden behind a wall. He suggested finding a plumber who might be able to find it (he couldn't refer their usual plumber, though), so I was left wondering what to do. I emailed Rich asking him for some advice and he responded once, but then quit responding to my follow-up questions asking him for a recommendation or referral on how to get my fireplace running. So, we called a plumber we found on Yelp, and he came out and found our gas keyhole in 10 seconds, making me feel pretty stupid! I feel Right Way should have been able to find that just as easily...or at least refer me to someone to assist in getting my fireplace functional. That was the whole point after all--I didn't JUST want the cleaning; I wanted someone to walk me through a total update so I could use it. Also, I trust Justin did a fine job cleaning my fireplace, but I'm not sure how thorough a cleaning is supposed to be--it didn't look like anything was done to the chimney, so I hope it's good to go! Anyway, mixed results it seems. And their website is down at the moment, which is doesn't make me feel it's the most professional service either. read more

My husband was looking for someone to both clean our fireplace and install a gas unit in our fireplace....we always use Yelp for everything so we didn't think we would be steered wrong! We recently moved into our home and neither of us have had a fireplace before so we wanted to call an expert to discuss getting the unit in the fireplace and changing out the real life wood the previous owner used. When we had our inspection done, the inspector told us we had a gas line to the fireplace so we knew that we had gas...... However.... the Right Way person cleaned out the chimney and then told us he couldn't find the key and that he couldn't help us anymore and that we would need to find a plumber. He went on to say maybe it was buried in remodels (this place has never been remodeled). Hmmmm... then didn't respond when we asked for plumbing referrals. After finding our own plumber and having him come out - in less than two seconds the plumber found the key.... to the left of the fireplace. I guess we should have been able to identify it, but...we have never owned a fireplace before and didn't know what this "key" was supposed to look like. I'm really confused as to why a supposed professional didn't see it - it is not hidden! It's right there in clear sight by the fireplace!!!! And I'm also confused as to why he didn't offer any more help. All I know is I would never recommend Right Way. I just hope he cleaned the chimney well..... read more

I purchased the Conejo Deal for dryer vent cleaning, and when I read the Yelp reviews and learned that this company also does fireplace conversions, I asked him to look at taking out my ugly gas logs and replacing them with glass, too. This is a job I had been wanting to do for years but did not know who to contact to do it. Rich is very prompt (even early!) and fast. The dryer job was done in no time, and the fireplace job was done in literally 30 minutes, including removing the old stuff, repainting, and adding the new glass. The new fireplace looks great. I don't know how Rich's prices compare to others because I did not shop prices on this job. The price seemed fair, and even if I ended up paying more, I'm happy to do it for a team that shows up when they say they will and do the work fast and professionally. read more
