It boiled down to Roof Doctors and one other company very quickly. The other company was just as patient answering my questions as Hugh, just as thorough in their answers (me, I'm a tad compulsive and I had a *lot* of questions), but for me the difference was that when I got busy and didn't get back to them, Hugh took the initiative to get back with me. Not in a pushy salesman way at all, but rather like someone I could depend on to carry the ball. And that held true throughout the process. I have a small house, a little over 1200 sf, and they had the roof on in two days. I had an aluminum tile roof and Hugh checked with me and, with my agreement, arranged for a recycler to collect the aluminum. After the holidays were over, Hugh followed up with me and installed my choice of venting. (I was considering solar attic fans but he clued me in that they don't have a rep for moving much air (I finally found the number: a mere 250 cfm -- think a really cheap range hood) and on top of that, the fact that the motors in these electric roof fans tend to last only 6 to 7 yrs.
