Our issues started last year, after a storm took off several of our roofing shingles. My husband…read moreasked his dad if he should just get a handyman to replace the tiles. His dad talked to his beloved neighbors, whose son works in roofing--and that's how we got connected to IFC Roofing. Robert Melton inspected our ten year old roof, took pictures and claimed it was time to get it replaced. (I'm hard to convince, because as long as water isn't pouring in, I feel it's doing its job.) Robert told us he would handle everything, and even get some of the other storm damages around our home fixed--like the garage door and fence. The first hurdle we faced was our solar panels. The company that promised they'd remove them in the event we needed to replace the roof, put us in contact with contractors, who quoted us an exorbitant price to remove them, and reset them afterward. Robert would have worked with them--but they refused to guarantee their work. Months went by--I thought we were forgotten. Robert was haggling with our insurance company to get the solar system covered, for a contractor he found--who would guarantee their work. He kept up communications, assured us things were moving along, as we waited on the claims process. Finally, in February, everything was lined up, and we set the time and date. Robert had let us choose the colors for the roof, the new gutters, and the replacement garage door. My husband paid extra for upgraded shingles. I'd asked for rain chains by my back patio, and he had several styles I could choose. The solar company came in the morning to remove our panels, and Robert's team started work after they were down. The actual roof took about two days, but most of it was done in one. For two days it was chaos in my yard, but the whole team was fast, professional, and efficient. One tiny sapling in my yard was slightly damaged--but it's coming back. All of my other landscaping was protected, and untouched. At no point was the roof ever left uncovered, or unprotected. On day two they came back to reset the solar system, repair the fence damage, replace the garage door, anchor the rain chains, and clean up any debris that might have escaped. The roof looked spectacular. I was upset, because the solar panel company, (I'll review them separately when I find their company name,) didn't replace the metal skirting frame around the panels. They told us that these were a fire hazard, because they didn't allow air to circulate around the panels. It seems companies don't even put them up on newer systems. I pointed out that the hollow metal tubing they hang the panels on, looked terrible, and I worried birds or wasps could build nests inside them. He said he'd look for a solution--I didn't believe him. A few days later, he returned to put end caps on those open framing tubes! I am so pleased! We've been homeowners for 40 years, and we've run into contractors of every stripe. I'm used to being let down by those who promise more than they deliver. I've had to follow up to ensure work was done according to code, and I've had to hire other companies to fix jobs not done right. Robert Melton with IFC Roofing didn't let us down. He handled every concern, wrangled with our insurance company, connected us with other contractors, filed all the paperwork, and even connected us with a tree service to take down a problematic tree. (We went with another local company.) Communication was over and above, and he handled any concern we had. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing roofing work done.

I was helped by Stetson who is really great in the work he does and was able to explain me the entire process of how the claim filing works and more importantly the details of the replacement roof shingles to be installed on my home. He never upsold anything to me nor tried to loot me even for a penny. The best part I liked about IFC roofing is that, when they inspect the roof of my home for potential damage from prior hailstorms, they were able to pinpoint accurate areas which needed immediate shingles replacement and also at the same time pinpointed areas which could wait before they can be replaced and that integrity and work ethic I liked the most about this company. IFC Roofing is transparent with it's cost breakdown of shingles replacement and from my past experience, I strongly attest that their rates are reasonable and they believe in using best quality shingles and also help to provide warranty on their workmanship as well after the job is done which is an added "peace of mind" factor. Last but not least, IFC roofing works with homes like mine which has Solar Panels installed as well and get the job done well due to which after the Shingles replacement, the panels are able to get reinstalled thoroughly back on them which was initially my biggest concern but they are really pro at this. Last but not least, lately, I had a small shingle set from the past job flew off in a recent windstorm and Stetson happily helped to get that fixed by installing a makeshift solution which will last for a bit now by nailing it a thick piece of tarp on that area so that way I do not have to spend hard-cash on that and he did that totally free of cost for me which I really appreciate big time. IFC Roofing is a Local DFW small business and I believe in strongly supporting this kind of business which has strong moral values, integrity and most importantly great workmanship skills and thereby this company definitely will get my future business as well in regards to roofing claim here in Frisco, TX which by the way is extremely prone to hailstorms which at some point will happen in future surely. Great company to work with is IFC Roofing. Ask for Stetson in particular. He's a pro in this gig.

Sebastian was the person who came out and provide a quote. He was always incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. Selvin was lead for the crew that came out. They came exactly when they said they would, installed everything quickly, and left the area clean (if not cleaner) than they found it. All of my interactions with the crew were very good and they worked so quietly, I was able to work inside my house with no problem. If I ever have roofing or gutter issues, I will definitely reach back out to Brotherhood Roofing!

Third and hopefully final update:…read more Brotherhood Roofing refuses to call me to fix this issue. I think their customer service speaks for itself at this point, and I've included screenshots of their communication. The emails are from their business owner, while the Yelp response is from an employee. (Please check out their original response in my screenshot, they have since updated it to seem more professional). Here's the full story so potential customers can know what I experienced: My roof was completed in November 2019, so it was under warranty until November 2024. (Picture of contract is attached, it was not 2016 as their employee claims.) In June 2024, we had some leaks and the owner came out to investigate. We fixed the issues he pinpointed (leaves in the gutters and caulk around some flashing), but there was still leaking. A different roofer said the leak was coming from another location that they had not initially pinpointed. I tried to contact Brotherhood Roofing for the next 10 months, and they never returned my calls. In August 2024, their business was listed as closed, so I figured that was that. I still called to try and get this issue resolved. Today, in April of 2025, I received responses to my reviews on Yelp and Google, erroneously claiming that our install date was from 2016. I immediately reached out via phone call and email, hoping I could finally resolve the issue after 10 months. The company refuses to call me to discuss this. From my point of view, I am understandably annoyed about not receiving communication for 10 months and then receiving a sassy response to my reviews that tries to discredit me, with no attempt to resolve the issue. I no longer want this company to touch my home, but I think it's only fair to share the way that I have been treated so future customers can avoid the same experience. I hope that the company does not respond to this review and instead leaves me alone, as their communication with me has been very unpleasant and distressing. (Putting a fourth update here, since it's less important. Brotherhood continues to adjust their Yelp response to seem more professional and to discredit me. Luckily screenshots exist. The flashing they mentioned was under an eave, installed by our pest control company, and did not affect the roof. We do not have oak trees. They also said they would only re-inspect their work if I remove my reviews, which I'm not going to do. Their responses are continually baffling.) Second Update (after their Yelp response): I have a contract in my inbox dated 2019. I have emailed it to you. That maintenance was completed and the roof was still leaking. Another roofing contractor came out, looked at the roof, and confirmed that there was an area that was done poorly that caused the leak. You said you would contact me when that maintenance was completed. It has been. Please contact me. Update since I cannot reply to the business owner's comment: My roof was installed in November 2019, not 2016. I tried to contact them starting in summer of 2024, when my roof WAS still under warranty, and they did not respond and their business was listed as closed. Interesting that they're now replying to emails. I would LOVE for the business owner to call me in regards to this.

The company would not respond to any contact attempts. Years later, Mr Scherff was in the neighborhood for a different house and attempted to do the roof of my parents house. He was told that he could not speak with the homeowners due to cognitive impairment issues and he was provided with the power of attorney, me. Mr. Scherff still came back to have my parents sign a repair contact. When confronted about the situation and the need for a written cancellation, he called me a pain in the ass. I had another roofer, an engineer, and insurance company all come out and say there is no damage. Mr Sherff knowingly tried to take advantage of my parents for second time!

We chose All Pro Roofing to replace our roof, we met them through our salon as a client and we had…read morestarted to build a friendship. We found out they had done other roofs in our neighborhood so we hired them to install our new slate roof. We paid them in full in April 2021 and they started on the roof at the beginning of June 2021. In person and in writing, we stated our concerns that we had just had the driveway re-paved with stone pavers and did not have any heavy equipment as it would not handle the weight. We were also suggested by several other roofers during consultations. As soon as the materials got there, they drove all the heavy equipment across the pavers, causing them to sink and breaking/chipping others. This was immediately brought to Brad's (the owner of All-Pro Roofing) attention. He tried claiming it was already like that. Stating, "I hope you have good before pictures." We provided a receipt and pictures of the driveway before them starting work before they admitted to the damage, which will cost $50,000 to repair as this is a large driveway. Still, to this day, they refuse to repair/replace the damage. Construction on the roof lasted until the end of August. During this entire time, we had to continuously dog them about when they would be out and finishing. Upon "completion," we had leaks immediately evident throughout the house during the first rain storm. We informed Brad, who then took several days to get someone out to inspect and "fix the problem." He gave us some reasons that didn't make sense, so we hired a third-party inspector. The inspector came out, and he confirmed moisture throughout the home and attic areas with thermal imaging and moisture readings. He then brought to our attention that the roof did not appear installed correctly and none of the rotten deckings had been replaced even though that was part of the agreed work. He stated none of the flat roofing had been replaced. The flashing material was inappropriate for the type of roof and improperly installed. He found numerous broken tiles throughout the roof. The skylights had not been replaced as agreed. The rotten soffit and fascia had not been replaced as agreed. The gutters had not been replaced as agreed. We received about 20 pages of problems with our brand new roof. The inspector said that he would need to bring out a specialist for slate roofs. We brought out a specialist referred by our inspector. Afterward, he met with us and just stated the only way to make the roof not leak, would be to remove large sections of the roof the make the necessary repairs to the valleys and flashing. He said it would in essence be a total replacement. By the time they removed all the necessary tile, the underlayment would then have to be replaced as well so the price between the repair and replacement would be negligible. So we brought all this information to Brad. He stated that the inspector had broken the tiles when he inspected the roof. The skylights, gutters, soffit, fascia, flat roofing, ext... were not part of the quote and if we wanted them we would have to pay extra. Brad said, the roof was installed correctly and basically the inspector and specialist didn't know what they were talking about. We brought up the agreement showing where he had the above-mentioned replacements as part of the quote and after arguing multiple times, he finally came back out to make agreed repairs. We reached back out to the inspector about his claim the tiles were broken by him. Body cam footage and before and after photos were shown, showing no tiles were broken by the inspector. Since then we have had to bring back out the inspector to locate the leaks for the roofing company multiple times as they did not seem able to do so on their own. We asked them for proof of insurance and bond information (if they have one) and they flatly refused. This brings us to the present. We have not had one rainstorm where we haven't found additional leakage into our newly renovated home. Wood rot and mold have been found in multiple areas. We haven't completed getting all the renovation cost estimates back and we are already looking at $200,000+ in damage to our home. We don't have any idea what the health implications even are! This has been a nightmare from the beginning, and there seems to be no end in sight!!!! I would recommend to everyone, to stay as far from this company as possible!
