He was able to function perfectly as a general contractor -- he has connections everywhere to cover every single thing that you could possibly need done, and he handles it all. He also was able to guide me through the insurance process, including when my adjuster was being difficult (but that's another story). In any case, no matter what work you need done on your home, I would highly recommend you contact David and ARS to get it done. 3 months later, I still hear some of my neighbors getting their roofs repaired, and as far as I can tell, they're not doing as good of a job. His crew was fast, efficient, and respectful. I'm not sure what other great things I can say about ARS. There were literally no negatives in this experience for me, which is rare -- I love to provide a balanced review, but in this case I literally can't think of a downside to calling him.

Then a few days ago after the massive rainstorm in the Dallas area, some water got through. I called Brook and it turned out to be a simple fix on the way the gutters were configured. His top man Humberto modified the gutter, added some flashing and looked over the rest of the roof, doing minor touchup repairs on shingles and vent boots. Humberto also helped me install some VentGuards that I never got around to doing until today. All taken care of so fast with one phone call, at no charge. These days you're lucky to find companies like this, run by people who really care. This review is 100% not solicited.

Then when I expressed offense at his insinuation he knew better than I do how to search for my own vendors he told me to be offended all I want he is going to advocate for his customers. It boiled down to Roof Doctors and one other company very quickly. The other company was just as patient answering my questions as Hugh, just as thorough in their answers (me, I'm a tad compulsive and I had a *lot* of questions), but for me the difference was that when I got busy and didn't get back to them, Hugh took the initiative to get back with me. Not in a pushy salesman way at all, but rather like someone I could depend on to carry the ball. And that held true throughout the process. I have a small house, a little over 1200 sf, and they had the roof on in two days. I had an aluminum tile roof and Hugh checked with me and, with my agreement, arranged for a recycler to collect the aluminum. After the holidays were over, Hugh followed up with me and installed my choice of venting. (I was considering solar attic fans but he clued me in that they don't have a rep for moving much air (I finally found the number: a mere 250 cfm -- think a really cheap range hood) and on top of that, the fact that the motors in these electric roof fans tend to last only 6 to 7 yrs. I was really glad for the enlightenment, and could see no point in adding to my maintenance chores for so little return on investment, so I went with the old style turbine.)
