When you feel at home ... you must be home ... I wanted to take a moment to recognize the team at Buffalo Wild Wings in New Bern. I know this location has received its share of criticism in the past, but my recent experience deserves to be recognized for what it was -- a genuine example of people making a difference. Kia, the Manager, and Genesis, the Assistant Manager, showed the kind of leadership and customer service that can turn a restaurant around. They were attentive, professional, approachable, and clearly cared about the experience their customers were having. I especially want to recognize Nate. He went above and beyond what I would normally expect from someone in his position. He stepped in wherever he was needed, made sure we were taken care of, and helped without acting like something was "not his job." That kind of attitude stands out. People are usually quick to leave a review when something goes wrong, so I think it's equally important to recognize people when they get it right. If Kia, Genesis, Nate, and the rest of the team continue bringing this level of effort and accountability, I believe this location deserves another look from anyone whose previous experience may not have been great. Five stars for the effort, leadership, and service I experienced. Keep moving in this direction -- people notice. read more

I should have read the review stars on Yelp before we even walked through the door! First, I want to recognize that our waitress was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and did her best throughout our visit. Unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our experience. We visited on a Sunday morning shortly after opening. It appeared that very little cleaning had been done after closing the previous evening. The restroom was particularly concerning. The floors were slick from what appeared to be urine that had been left overnight, the odor was overwhelming, and parts of the floor were sticky enough that my shoes were sticking as I walked. Cleanliness should be a basic expectation, especially at opening time. When our food arrived, my Beer Cheese Cheesesteak was disappointing. It had very little chicken, almost no beer cheese, and the chicken that was on the sandwich had an unusual texture, as if it had been overprocessed. I recently ordered the same meal at another Buffalo Wild Wings location and it was excellent, which made this experience even more disappointing. My wife ordered a salad, and our waitress informed us that there were no clean utensils available and asked if plastic forks would be acceptable. At a restaurant that had just opened for the day and only had a few tables occupied, this was surprising. After our meal, I asked why there were no clean utensils, and I was told they were still being washed and that the restaurant simply did not have enough. That is not a server issue--it is a management issue. This visit reflected poor operational management, not poor service from the wait staff. The employees appeared to be doing the best they could with the resources available. However, cleanliness, food quality, and having enough basic dining utensils are fundamental responsibilities of restaurant management. The New Bern, NC location needs significant improvement in these areas. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location until those issues are addressed. The only reason for the 1 star is our waitress! She deserves 5 read more

This isn't the first time that we have been here. The atmosphere is loud but not bad being its music. Lots of TVs and different things on. It was clean inside! Upon walking in as I decided to give this place a try again, we waited for about 3 minutes or so to be seated as no one was up front. When the young man did show up though, he was energetic and very pleasant. Our server, Chaz, was wonderful. She was to the table quickly and knew how to interact with anyone at the table. She wasn't an annoying server that hovered but never missed a beat. I always appreciate great service no matter the food sometimes. As for the food, I got the 10 boneless wings in two flavors. One was the bullit bourbon one, which was very tasty, but as always, it needed more sauce. The other flavor was Nashville hot, I only got to eat one as it they were very dry and barely covered in sauce. The fries were fries. They were cooked well though. My kid enjoyed the tender meal and tots. The nachos weren't bad either. The beer was nice and cold also. My other kid said that the burger he had was nice and juicy and enjoyable. Now, for the unfortunate bad......the boneless wings needed more sauce and 3 I couldn't even eat as they were very dry and hard. No big deal there, fried food= bad ones sometimes. The Mac and cheese for 4.99 was a huge disappointment. I thought, 4.99, it has to be pretty good. I was wrong! Right away from the time it hit the table in a paper container I could clearly see that it was microwaved so long that it was dried out and rubbery. The cheese was burnt onto the sides all the way around. Apparently, the kitchen staff who checks the quality failed in the kitchen as that should never go out to a table. I let my waitress, Chaz know about the issue and she did get it comped for us. I did appreciate that as I only took one bite of it and it was like leaving Mac and cheese in the fridge for a week and then eating it. The appetizer we had was the sampler, All of it was pretty decent except again, not enough sauce on the wings and some of the onion rings were a bit burned. This would be the 3rd time we've been here. I went against my better judgement as my kids wanted to eat there. Tonight, the service was outstanding, but the food was nothing that I want to return to. If I ever do return it'll be just get the service from Chaz again as it's the best I've had here. I think some things might need a change finally. read more

Service was horrific. Worst service I've experienced, waited an hour for 6 wings, in which we had to ask the bartender for, came out cold and soggy. Saw no servers all night and the bartender maybe twice. To top it off saw all the staff out front sitting drinking and smoking. read more

We haven't eaten yet but so far the service leaves a lot to be desired. We had three or four workers walk past us without any sort of acknowledgment. Finally a waiter came over and asked if we'd been helped yet. He took our order. The bathroom is dirty and smells like urine-with toilet paper all over the floor. The hostess has a sour look in her face and is on her phone. I realize they are "short staffed" And that I should be patient.. but how about you serve me and smile. If you are too short-staffed to be kind to people paying you then maybe you should have told me that you couldn't serve me at your best. **Ok the food was yummy!! And our server Austin settled down and got our food right and made sure we had drinks and whatever we needed!! Austin was good!! Thanks Austin!!! read more

Walked in and immediately got the attitude from the girl at the register, rolling her eyes after I told her it was for 2, and mumbling something about seating, and I just said a booth please and she walked off and threw the menu down on table and walked off. WOW I didn't know what to say, Waiter and everyone else was nice. I hat a terrible way to treat the walk in customers. Hope the manager reads this. This is 4:30pm on 9-10-24. read more

Food was fresh arrived in a timely manner and the bar tender Carmen while very busy provided excellent service

Arrived around 11:30 am for lunch. Ordered one of their promotional items, a "stacked" burger with Buffalo chicken tenders on top of the burger. The server was incredibly unfriendly. Everything she said to me was in a very low, monotone voice with not the least bit of a happy disposition. She acted as if she didn't want to be there, and did nothing to make me feel that my business was appreciated. Back to the meal - it was disappointing. The buffalo chicken tenders were overcooked with a hard crust to it. Didn't taste any "buffalo" heat to the tenders at all. Not impressed. read more

I would like to talk about the greatest experience I had at Buffalo Wild Wings in New Bern North Carolina. I had Chazzy as my server and let me tell you she was the best server I've ever had. Her knowledge of the menu was impeccable and the suggestions she gave me for a drink was amazing. I had the Brisket burger and potato wedges. The burger was cooked to perfection and the wedges had an amazing flavor to them. Chazz made sure I was well taken care of and kept coming to make sure I was doing alright. 10/10 experience and 10/10 for the food. read more

Chazz, is the BEST server, tons of hustle, and super friendly! Food was spectacular, I always get the Thai curry wings. They accommodated for the basketball game we wanted to watch, and atmosphere was perfect! Aerial made bomb drinks, I ordered their spicy passion fruit margarita extra spicy, and turned out AMAZING! Exactly want I was craving! Always a great time here! read more

Don't recommend. Window hours state 11pm close time, obviously not the case.. Arrived at 9pm and told last call was 9:15pm for alcohol, and not to mention she was very animate that we were weren't going to get any type of alcoholic drinks. The hostess never said anything about closing. If the hours have changed, y'all might need to update the posted hours. read more

We walked in at 6PM. nobody at the front desk. We stood there waiting and seen workers had noticed us there. Nobody came and acknowledged us. We ended up seating ourselves and still waited about 10 minutes before the waitress came to our table. Maybe 6 other tables were filled with customers and they all already we're eating g their food. Couldn't figure out what the big deal was but the. Seen some employees more worried about hanging outside at their patio order than working. Placed our order and took 45 minutes to get to us. Couldn't figure out why it took so long. Then our order came out. We ordered the BOGO 15 wings each and even told The waitress that we were only doing 30 wings Altogether and she even repeated it back to us. We ended up with 60 wings altogether. 60!!! For 2 people??! I asked for my wings to be lightly sauced with the mild for half and the other half I asked for the Buffalo dry rub. Well let's just say it looked liked they just "brushed" a coat of mild sauce on the wings. Now onto the dry rub....talk about SALTY!! When I say salty I mean salty to the point where they were not edible!! The rub was dumped on the wings. The pic provided shows just a portion of the seasoning on the tray. The wings had the same amount of seasoning. The waitress is very friendly and polite but Don't think we will be back. read more

Food and service good, ambiance no so noisy but what should I expect from basically a sports bar. One thing really bad is the floors are residual greasy and on the way to the bathroom I slipped and twisted my back ,this was a couple of weeks ago and I am perfectly fine, but they need to use detergent and rinse often, get more rinse when dirty. If they do now they need to do it more often or hire professionals. They were lucky this time. Dan Ritter read more

Our server was very attentive and much appreciated. That was the only good thing about Buffalo Wild Wings in New Bern, NC. Waited an extremely long time for the food to come out from kitchen - kitchen staff was VERY slow. Restaurant was not at all busy. Items missing from table (Salt, Ketchup, etc.). Food was at below average - my wife's chicken Caesar salad was terrible, burnt dry chicken, lettuce wasn't fresh and Caesar dressing had an awful taste. My food was average. Been here a few times over the past few months and nothing has improved. Maybe after Arby's takes over completely things will hopefully improve. Will not be back. read more

Promotional beer and promotional cocktail (whiskey ginger) were not available. Somehow they are out of ginger ale?' Bartender wore a mask part time and the food runner didn't wear one at all. This location is inconsistent in quality compared to other BWW locations I've frequented the past few months. Service was pretty good; the waitress in training was genuinely apologetic and courteous. I placed an online order for some wings and celery and was told it would be ready at 5:20z I realized after I place the order I forgot a salad I had wanted to order and a cake for a birthday dinner. I called in to ask for a salad with just lettuce, chicken, tomato and ranch a server took my order and told me it would be ready with my online order in 20 minutes. It's 5 so I think that's perfect. I then realized I didn't have my name so I called back and spoke with a different server, repeated my order and gave my name was told again that it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I actually ran a little late to pick up the order and got there at 5:30. When I got there I was told by the server at the desk she forgot to put my order in. I understand things happen, but that's two servers who have forgotten my order. I sat there until 6 waiting for my salad and slice of cake. I asked to speak with a manager about the fact I was forgotten and had to wait for an order that should have been ready. I explained to the manager I had called and placed my order, called back and repeated my order, got here and was told it still wasn't put in, and the manager explained that they were busy and had to take care of orders that were before me and that they had multiple orders. Again, understandable that things get busy but to forget multiple times to put in someone's order and then to get home and have it MISSING items? My tomato was forgotten on the salad and the manager asked a server to grab me another ice cream for free for the inconvenience and this is how it was served. IN A BAG INSIDE OF A CUP? read more

Waited 30 minutes in the bar seating, aware that things were busy, before anyone bothered to acknowledge I was there. I sat there quietly having not said a word, waiting looking at my phone and stretched my hand. The pink haired bartender's first words were an attitude filled "You're just gonna have to wait like everyone else!". I've spent my entire adult career with people talking nasty to me. I'm not about to pay for that kind of service. I'd spend my money elsewhere. read more

This place is a disgrace to the Buffalo Wild Wings name. The workers are unknowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a tall beer and the waitress said all the tall cups were dirty and so she gave us a short and still charged us for the tall. It is uncleanly and the manager is rude. We got our appetizer after our meal and they did not care at all. This picture is a dirty outside table before we ate at it and we asked them to clean it twice. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Service is terrible. I Ordered a salad delivered by a third party. It came with no dressing, I don't have any way to get to the location for the dressing. BWW offered me a 10% discount on my next order... chump change. Not giving my business to them anymore so don't need any discount for a future order. I see a bunch of reviews saying it's bad but I disagree. I come everyday and the staff is very interactive, positive. Food is quick. Music is enjoyable. Of course it's sports everywhere. And the trivia on the TVs are always fun. If you haven't tried it or didn't like it I suggest you come by again and give them another shot. Kia is a great bartender. Braylon and others are extremely good servers. Highly recommended. read more

I should have known from the moment when I started my phone order the woman that answered said they don't sell sandwiches! I wanted 2 saucy chicken sandwiches, one of them with a side salad and blue cheese dressing the other with fries. I received no salad and they barely placed a teaspoon of sauce on the sandwich. No lettuce, no tomato, nothing. I also ordered a Tennessee chicken sandwich, and it too came with a spoonful of sauce and nothing else. This is the last time I order anything from this location. I even had the woman read me back my order, and she put it in wrong. The New Bern, NC location is the worst in the franchise. read more

I rather gouge my eyes out then to come back to this restaurant. There is no hustle, no urgency, the food came out luke warm after waiting an hour for it to be at the table. The new chips and salsa however is good. That's about the only good thing that came from this visit. The waitress, Noelle, was great and she did her thing. Too bad she only works weekends. This location could use more "Noelles" The location revamped its menu and items. The buffalitos that use to be soft are now hard and crunchy smothered in sour cream. Needless to say if they don't change something about customer service at this location, I wouldn't be surprised if a competitor chain came in and took over the area read more

Went on a friday evening and this is by far the Worst buffalo wild wing restaurant to date. Waitress had no idea what was going on. Waited 20 minutes for beer. Order came out wrong of course. Then the to go order came out wrong as well. Waitress did not have a single care for the service. She came to the table maybe a total of 3 times. Still charged full price for everything. We were rushed to leave the minute we got there. Please stay away, this location is absolutely hopeless. read more

Food was ok for bar food. Once foam settled on the beer, glass was 80% filled at best. Real issue was the service. Wait person at the bar spent much more time taking care of her small child sitting (and crying) at a table near the bar than she did with customers. Even though a young man was there with the child. Showed no interest in being there. Sign on a poster said tv's would not be changed until 4:00 lest I mind think of wanting one changed. I was the only customer at the bar. Service in bar area TERRIBLE! Bartender had a couple at bar and another couple at hightop... I sat for over 5 minutes before any

Absolutely the worst place you can choose to eat at. On multiple occasions we have been here and have waited astronomical wait times. Tonight (7/4/19) we waited an 1.5 hours for our food to hit the table. On top of that, we were told the kids meal had hit the floor so it would a longer wait for his. When our food came my buffalitos were stale and my husbands wings were heat lamp warm. After the food came it was time for us to go. I spoke to the manager and left. They blamed it on being understaffed, but I'm sure they are under managed and lack of customer focus. There were maybe 30 people in the establishment and they kept saying everyone was ordering and they were swamped. I've done restaurant for years and I can tell you, this time we visited there was no way it was a busy night. Tables were empty! Floors were disgusting and tables were filthy.
