His drinks were both empty. She said ok. Goes to another table. Chats and gets a drink order. Heads to beverage station. Gets the other tables drinks. Comes back and says sorry the tea is out. Then wanted to talk about other drink options. He's still eating blazing wings with no water or drink. He asks for a Pepsi. She says she has that and explains how sorry she is that there is no tea left and finally heads back to get Pepsi. Right behind her is the guy carrying a tea pitcher. Lol. Decided to go for a quick dinner. Arrived at 8:06pm. Sat from 8:06-8:17 with no one checking on us. Finally a sever came by and said she'll be our server "for now". At that point, we were ready to order our whole meal. We order very basic: hubby ordered 10piece wing and wedges, I ordered 6 piece boneless stripes, kid ordered 5 piece tenders and fries, and other kid ordered a cheeseburger and fries. We ordered at 8:17 and didn't get our food until 9pm! Nothing that we ordered would take 43 mins to cook! All of that should have taken 10-15 TOPS. Between the server taking our initial order to food being delivered, no one checked on us, we had to flag the waiters down for drinks or to check on our food. Busy or not, basic hospitality, you don't let guests sit that long without any acknowledgment. When the food finally came out, it was cold and you can tell it sat under a bad heat lamp. I say that because a good heat lamp keeps the plates hot... that was not the case for us. My husband's wings were over cooked and "lamp-burned". I wish my complaint was related to COVID-19 so that I could attribute my issue with Dover BWW to the pandemic, but, unfortunately, the issue behind my complaint is an ongoing issue with BWW in Dover. Despite my repeated instructions and pleas to waiters to instruct the kitchen to lightly fry my wings, I continue to receive overcooked, dried out, and chewy traditional wings. This is so disappointing as I love BWW traditional wings and other BWW fry my wings lightly without issue. I have even asked the management in this location to explain to me how I need to word my request at this location so that the waiters and kitchen staff understand my request and cook my wings the way I like them. And before someone comments about health dept regulations related to cooking chicken, I am well aware of regulations as I worked for BWW and I know that the wings may be lightly fried and remain within health dept regulations. Ordered NO CHEESE as i am lactose intolerant as well as no tomatoes on a wrap, but they were put on the wrap anyways after I specified not to, this also included a side of onion rings that only had 4 in them.
