Luckily I did otherwise it would have been peppers, onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes swimming in some kind of soy sauce. My plate was literally overflowing. One friend had the chicken and shrimp pasta which was a nice sized portion and looked good. If I wasn't a vegetarian, I would have ordered that. Lots of intentional planning went into this design. There's an indoor bar, dining room, outside seating of all kind (under tent & not), as well as a bar that has garage doors that can open to the outside. There's corn hole and other things to do. This place is a vibe with a German touch! Plenty of beers on tap, as well as some clever cocktails! They even have beer cocktails that feature their drafts. Service was exceptional! We sat at the indoor bar as it was raining. Stephanie was terrific. Very attentive and friendly. Ordered two drinks...Drunk in Love (delicious), and Beerloma (delicious). Highly recommend both of these. They had lots of other seasonal options as well that sounded delightful. Nice to see a pub theme place also craft some great drinks for the non beer drinkers. We ordered the burger on a pretzel bun and the German Street Diner. Both absolutely delicious!!! Impressive that we have both food and drink on point! No notes. The fries are great too. Don't leave without the cinnamon and sugar pretzel bites with the Carmel and white icing dipping sauce! We got out to go. Don't leave without them. Awesome!!! Such a terrific find. Wish we lived closer. Well worth the stop! Not far off of Rt 1 on way to beach too! Don't skip this place! It's amazing.

Loved the concept and setting. The beverages came out fast and they were nice and cold. My wife had…read morea Strawberry Mimosa and I had a .5L Warsteiner German Pilsner. Both were tasty. The food was ok to sub sub par. My wife had the bratwurst sandwich and she enjoyed it very much. I had the schnitzel sandwich with a German Potato Salad side substituted for the fries. Well, I didn't care for the puddle of liquid that completely soaked the bottom of the sandwich bun - I had to pour it out onto the pan that it arrived on, and there were not enough napkins to keep my hands dry and clean. The pork schnitzel was over cooked, not pounded to make it tender, and the breading was dark brown, almost burnt. I was hungry so I ate it. To make matters worse, the potato salad was a fail fail fail. The fingerlings were good, but, like the sandwich, it was sitting in a pool of liquid. In this case it was oil. Tastless so it added nothing to the dish, and there was at least a 1/4" of it under the potatoes. To say it was unappetizing would be kind. I had to pour out the oil onto the pan. There is no excuse for a kitchen to make pair of mistakes like this. Sadly, no wait staff came by to check on us, which was probably a good thing. While the QR code thing is "cool" it cannot replace the customary service model where waitstaff takes the order, and either a runner or the waitstaff brings the meal, and checks in on the table at some point. I was taken aback that we had to include a tip before even seeing the food or the waitress. For a little background, my wife is a German citizen, but born here. I was a hospitality consultant for a few years. We both know what constitutes good food regardless of ethnicity. I have been to at least 5 beer gardens, and even more German and Swiss establishments. I have prepared many schnitzels, and many German potato salads. Aside from the oil slick the flavor was ok. It would have been better if they used a little of the bacon fat, together with some white vinegar and a little beef stock, as a dressing for the salad. This is really easy to make and hard to mess up, but somehow the kitchen didn't get it right. I didn't give it a one star rating because the beverages, the ambience, and my wife's sandwich was ok. I may come back at some point since we are often in Dover. But I will not be ordering the potato salad or the schintzel. To be fair, a second visit would have to be a game changer for me to not give a one star rating. Wishing you guys the best of luck. The place has potential but someone has to pay more attention to both the kitchen and the front of the house.

When we asked about the charge, we were told that that applied to only certain drinks, Oh well... Then for my meal I ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye steak, rare with steamed veggies and potatoes. The only complaint I have about the meal is that although size-wise the steak covered half the plate, it was only 3/8 to 1/2 in thick and chewey. That is not their usual fare. I was expecting the steak to be somewhat smaller in area but thicker and more tender. Although tasty, I probably will not order that entree again. The remainder of the meal and the service was excellent, as usual. We will be seeing them again and not letting this disappointment end our visitations.

My mistake; expecting hot food these days is a distant memory. I mean they tried but had no idea, I guess. Plates were not warmed; an order of bbq ribs was also barely warm. The oysters in the app mix plate were average at best, but overall it was an exciting appetizer for a party we were having. The mashed potatoes were more exciting in appearance than the decor, which was bland as vanilla pudding. If this is vying to be a premier steak house like Del Frisco or Ruth's Chris, a long way to go. Didn 't feel very posh except for the bill at the end.

The food is good, but feel the prices are a little expensive, especially for a sandwich in our area. While we appreciate that the food is fresh, and made to order, I think $18 for a turkey and cheese sandwich and almost $17 for a chicken sandwich is expensive. The lunch included fries, and the kids liked the sandwiches. My wrap, which was $16 and included vegetables, was good and I felt the price was appropriate. You will definitely not be disappointed in the preparation or taste of the food.
