She made several rude comments in passing, and her tone throughout the visit was anything but professional or kind. One moment that stood out: when someone in our group politely asked for lemon and sugar for their iced tea, Alexandria dropped the items on the table with such force and attitude, it felt intentionally disrespectful. It was demeaning. We've visited this location in the past and have always been treated with courtesy. This experience was a painful departure from that. I'm a wing lover in Chico. There are a handful of places that have wings on the menu, but only two actual "wing places" here: BWW and Wingstop. I usually go to BWW when I'm craving HEAT (the Blazin' wings). Today was one of those days, and it was horrifying. The wings have actually gotten smaller - so small they're basically laughable. I ordered the 10-piece classic and received 9 flats and one drum that was the size of my thumb -- literally almost no meat at all: just a tiny, overcooked and shriveled bone with gristle. The Carolina Reaper Blazin "heat" was not hot at all (did they change the sauce?). The whole order was a disaster. As one of the only true "sports bars" in town, it's a great place to watch the game, and there are plenty of things on the menu that are decent - but why, oh why, would they skimp on the star protein that's in their DBA? I understand cost-cutting in the current economy, but cut your costs elsewhere on your verbose menu and let the star be the star. Either that or change your name to "Buffalo Other Stuff." It's clear this place has totally given up on the "Wings" part of their moniker, so don't waste your wing money here. Just had lunch here atour so-called waitress was named Jackey(her spelling). We asked to ask the party in front of to either cease from using their cell phone or continue their conversation outside because they were speaking so loud that we couldn't even hear ourselves speak or enjoy not only our lunch but our favorite team, the Mets on the RC at a sports bar. She responded that they would be off the phone in a minute, without even going over to their table and confronting the person that was rudely speaking with his phone on speaker mode so we heard both parties speaking at a high decibel on his phone. We were there another 20 minutes and he was still on his phone on speaker mode. Needless to say she received a .46 cent tip. We rounded out her tip to the nearest dollar, since she was a horrible waitress and deserved nothing for not doing the right thing by a paying customer who came to watch a sports game in a sports bar, not to hear a guy talking loudly while his phone was on speaker mode. You would think that with a 2-star rating after 310 reviews, a business might improve but apparently not with Buffalo Wild Wings. The first thing that annoyed me about my order was being charged a $1 takeout fee. Thanks to some corporate genius who came up with that idea, I deducted a $1 from the takeout employee's tip. The chicken was mediocre. It felt rubbery and processed. The boneless wings were not covered in sauce. The fries were cold by the time I got home, and I live less than 5 minutes away, and I arrived early at the restaurant, so I could get the food right when it was ready. For 10 boneless wings and fries, a side of a regular size of potato wedges, tip, tax, takeout fee; it was $18 for mediocre food. Again. It's not rocket science. Make quality food. Simplify your menu. Finally tried this place after years of it being here. I love wings and was hoping it was good. First the good: the sauces are all AMAZING in my opinion. Seriously, so delicious. The bad: somehow they don't seem to understand how to cook anything I tried. The chicken was terrible and felt like it was literally cooked in the microwave oven. I actually didn't know wings could be done so bad by a place that basically just makes wings.... The server was a nice guy, but managed to miss several things we ordered. Luckily they did not appear on the bill either. Was a busy night, but the ambiance was about what you should expect from a collage frat type of environment. This location stands above most in that it is clean, the service is outstanding, I mean the people working here are genuinely nice, helpful, and attentive, the food although prepared the same way as each location tastes better for some reason as if they add different ingredients, the price is as always decent and fair, and the variety is fantastic not to mention the atmosphere. After online ordering ahead at least 2 hours before, the hostess let us know that it would be an extra 20 minutes for it to be ready. There was a pickup time of 5pm and at 5:25pm, we were told it would be another 20 minutes longer. They need to get it together!! It took the bartender a minute or two before he came up to us; I only notice when it seems to take longer than usual. He was polite and I asked if there were any specials or things going on. He recommended the Wild Herd by Goose Island which was something that was indeed a discounted price. He told me it's their "house beer" and if I remember correctly something that Goose Island makes exclusively for BWW. I ended up drinking two of them with my order of Street Tacos. Very quiet atmosphere but then again I did come in at an odd time. It was 1:45pm so I didn't expect too many crowds of people on a Monday afternoon. I'm here right now. I really like this place. Beers great, sports tv's are great and server is a 5 . I'm a little disturbed by this venue. Our poor server is serving food, and cleaning tables and racing/ running. Now I won't get into the sanitary part but, you that are above no what I'm referring to. I'm watching this poor girl race / run and barely be able to chat, etc. and give your restaurant quality service. Our server was great! She hustled and was extremely polite and very attentive lucky for us. My daughter worked at Buffalo Wild Wings in San Ramon and I do not recall servers having to do all this. They had servers and bus service. It's sad to think as busy as it was there are only 4 servers on a Sunday lunch hour. We all should know about what we are getting with BWWs. It's not a gourmet foodie place. It's TVs, beer, over-priced chicken wings, and some other stuff. It's a typical 3-star chain food place where the typical human only goes once a year for a sporting event or birthday party. After a 14 hour day of competition at the local college, I took my team (12 people) to BWW to get some food before bed. As it was 10pm, we had limited options of where to go but the late night menu would meet our budgetary needs. Also, college kids eat anything. I figured it would beat a long wait at in and out. After a very long wait (our visit took nearly 2 hours), we were informed that the $5 burgers were not available because they ran out of meat. Given the price of the other menu items, I saw that our bill would likely go from $100 to $200 without the burger option. But the difference between a bad review and a good one is how a manager handles mistakes and dissatisfaction. The manager that night agreed to substitute a chicken or brisket sandwich for the burgers at the same price. We had a few more small issues with orders being wrong and with the long wait. The food was just ok. Though the new chicken club sandwich is delicious and the cheese curds are to die for! It was clear that this staff was having a rough night but everyone took the right attitude and approach. Maybe I'll go to BWW more than once this year. read more
