Still a big fan of their happy hour. $8 house wines and select half off pies. We had an issue where the server placed the blame on us for a mixup in the kitchen, which has unfortunately turned my partner off from this spot :/ but again, the happy hour is great.
100% recommend going to their happy hour, especially with a big group of people. Seven of us went and got 4 pizzas. It was less than $12 per person. A great deal if you ask me! We got the pepperoni, potato, margarita, & sausage. All were yummy, but the potato & sausage were my fave! Nice ambiance, but she is on the small size! And there isn't a ton of parking since the lot is shared with several businesses, so something to keep in mind when planning your visit. Great customer service as well. Loved our waiter!
We came to Bufalina Due to celebrate our recent engagement, and it was a fantastic first visit! We were joined by friends who live nearby and have been a few times before (usually for takeout), and they suggested this spot -- now we know why. We arrived right at 5 PM and were seated immediately. Parking was easy in the shared lot right out front, and the location is super accessible from the main road. The happy hour deals are excellent -- half off select pizzas and bottles of wine under $100. Between the four of us, we ordered the red pie with pepperoni and the taleggio pizza, both of which qualified for the discount. We also shared the burrata appetizer, which came with fresh focaccia. Everything was delicious -- the pizzas were flavorful, the wine paired perfectly, and the burrata was creamy and fresh. Service stood out, as well: attentive without being overbearing. Our water glasses never dipped below halfway before being refilled, and the staff was warm and welcoming throughout. Highly recommend Bufalina Due for a casual yet elevated dining experience -- especially during happy hour. We'll definitely be back!
I thought the flavors were really unique but the pizza was a bit soggy and it was also a bit pricey. I think I liked the pepperoni pizza the best, I liked the flavor of the zucchini pizza a lot but unfortunately it was a bit soggy. The inside is really cute with lots of seating. The workers weren't that attentive but it was a bit busy.
A favorite for wood-fired pizzas and great greens (their Caesar is the standard) in wet and dry season. Their Sommelier is known for selecting some of the choosiest bottles to be found (all within affordable price points) for dine-in and carry-out options. These days I saddle up with a glass of bubbly (the hydrating kind) and my favorite Fresca pizza - happy birthday to me! Better with a party. Ever so grateful for this cozy neighborhood joint reopening their second spot on the East Side - more to come!
This place has some of the best pizza and Caesar salad salad I've ever had in my life. We go here anytime we want pizza because there is just no beating it. The vodka pizza with sausage is the best in my opinion. The only thing I will say is we went at about 8pm and the lighting on the booth side of the restaurant was extremely bright like we were having brunch somewhere. I know this is very nitpicky and I love the place and I will definitely be back but it just made me sad in such a romantic cool rustic looking place to have giant lights shining down onto you. No mystery/ no ambiance. The other location is kept very dimly lit so maybe I'll just keep going to that one for dinner. Either way great place.
Bufalina Due is one of our absolute favorite pizza spots, and we come here all the time. It's one of the only pizza places our 4 1/2-year-old genuinely loves, which says a lot. We always order an extra side of the focaccia bread for her because it's so good and a guaranteed win every time. Our usual order never disappoints: the Caesar salad is an absolute must, along with the margherita pizza and the spicy mushroom pizza. On a recent visit, we branched out and tried some of the pasta, which was also excellent. We also tried the potato pizza recently and loved it just as much as everything else. Honestly, I'm convinced you could order anything on the menu and never be disappointed. Everything is consistently delicious and thoughtfully made. As an added bonus, it's right next door to an ice cream shop, so after Bufalina Due we almost always end the night with ice cream next door, which makes the whole experience even better. Lastly, the service is always great and ambience is enjoyable. I like that the brick oven is inside of the restaurant. You can actually see them cooking all the pizzas which makes for a fun experience for the kiddos
Last time I was in Austin, I went to Bufalina for an awesome experience. Tried out Bufalina Due for a repeat experience during their happy hour (4-5:30). Caesar Salad - $18 At Bufalina, I had (still to this day), the best Caesar salad I had ever had. At Bufalina Due, the salad was just fine. Large quantity that matches the price tag but the umami flavors were missing (didn't really taste the anchovies this time). Unsure if it's a location thing or a recipe switch. Mushroom Pie - $10 Decent mushroom pizza with white sauce. Not bad but not super memorable. Zucchini Pie - $8.5 Yum! Little spicy, little tangy, lots of refreshment, I loved this pizza, especially on a hot day. Loved the flavors and the novelty. I saw the Fresca pie, which was amazing when I was at Bufalina, but it was no longer on the happy hour menu so I did not try. All in all, a good experience. Just a bit sad the Caesar Salad was not the same as I had before.
friend's birthday dinner done RIGHT!! bufalina's has not disappointed ever. We decided to do family style to try more of the dishes and everything was so so flavorful and unique. The pastas surprised me! They were rich and creamy, i would definitely recommend getting it! If you havent been here for their happy hours, you're missing out
First time visiting Austin and visiting Bufalina for my birthday ! Had the rigatoni pasta to start very yummy and Margherita pizza was so yummy and fresh ingredients and the dough was perfect light crunch with a chewy center! The sausage in vodka sauce pizza was lacking though the sausage was bland and the vodka sauce had no pop of flavor which should have been amazing! Would come back again for the margherita
What a stellar happy hour we stumbled upon at this Austin Neapolitan pizza restaurant. How could you turn down 1/2 price pizza and 1/2 price bottles of wine?! The place was actually packed at 4:45pm on a Friday afternoon. We were quoted at 30 minutes, and were sat at the bar exactly one half hour later. Nicely done with the timing. The happy hour went until 5:30pm, so we got our pizza and wine order in right away. We took our server's recommendations for pizza and for the Zucchini, Vodka Arrabiatta (add sausage), and the calabrese. The calabrese was spicy and so delicious (thanks serrano)... probably my favorite, but all three were phenomenal. The wine was great and the price was fantastic. The interior was small but cozy, and the brick oven was front and center for us all to oogle. Truly an authentic experience, and we will be
Obsessed. I visited a half hour after happy hour ended and was kicking myself! They appear to have the best happy hour deal in town - 1/2 off specialty pizzas and heavily discounted wines by the glass. Yes please! I ordered the red pie with pepperoni, and it was delightful. IMO bread makes or breaks the pizza, and this place got it right. The bread was fantastic - so fresh and soft! Took me straight back to Naples. The sauce had a nice kick thanks to the red chilis, and the roasted garlic was a nice touch as well. We also got the olive oil cake for dessert which was topped with some sea salt & served with whipped butter + marmalade. The combination of sweet, salty and zesty flavors was out of this world! Service was quick and efficient. I also loved the vibe of this restaurant - so cozy with the pizza oven right in the middle. Very cool. I also enjoyed how they hand you the check in a used book - quirky and unique! I will be back soon!
Wow! First time visit. Happy hour everyday. We ordered Potato, Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas. Half price at happy hour.
We went to Bufalina Due for a relaxed Tuesday night dinner, when the place was about half occupied. The outdoor seating was shaded and nice even on a warm evening. We started with the roasted eggplant dip, which was served with a rather large round of pita bread. Dip and bread were excellent. On a whim I also asked for their olives and nuts appetizer. If you're a fan of olives I do recommend it. We ordered a veggie supreme pizza, well done. It was excellent. It didn't have cheese on it, so it appeared to be fully vegan. The sauce had good sharp flavor, and made the flavors of the veggies pop. The crust was excellent as well. This restaurant is usually included in the top ten pizza lists for Austin, and I can see why. We'll be back. read more

Incredible pizza. Good wine. Cute interior. What more can you ask for. We started off with their house red wine and rose, which were both very good. The calabrese pizza was very good. You could tell how fresh and flavorful the tomatoes were in the sauce. The Serranos added a nice kick, which be aware if you are not spice tolerant. We also got the potato pie which was very good, though I wish they cut the potatoes in thin slices and crisped them up more. But the capers and garlic confit made the pizza come together very well. I will definitely be coming back! read more
Bufalina is all the hype! We went in on a Sunday during happy hour, which is very awesome because all of their pizza is 50% off and a few of their wine bottle selections. I must admit, that's an awesome deal! It wasn't too busy but had a very chill vibe with the dim lighting and candles flickering at each table. The burnet location is very small, but it serves its purpose well. Parking is extremely limited too! So be conscious of that when visiting during peak times. We ordered the Caesar Salad to start, Vodka Arrabiatta pizza and a classic Pepperoni Pizza as entrees. We didn't partake in the wine, even though everyone around us seemed to me enjoying it. The Caesar salad was refreshing, & well prepared. There is plenty to share! There were two of us and we couldn't make it through the entire salad but we really wanted to lol. The vodka Arrabiatta was a tad spicy and just absolutely Delicious! I enjoyed the spice mixed with the cheese and sauce. Everything really complimented each other very well. And the pepperoni was classy and satisfying as well. We'll definitely be trying Bufalina again! read more

This has got to be one of the best hh pizza places! The pizzaz were cheap during hh but they were all so delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed the pizza with arugula and the mushroom pizza the best. I did feel that the red pizza with the salami was a bit wet in the middle but it could be due to the sauce. The flavors were all so good though and I would definitely visit again next time I'm in austin! read more

Bufalina Due has a fantastic happy hour for half off pizza and $6 glasses of house wine! I'll definitely be back but I do wish their happy hour ended a little bit later than 5:30pm since that can be a bit hard to squeeze in... but the fact it exists at all makes me very happy. read more

My wife and I finally trued Bufalina Due and we loved it! I've been wanting to try it for so long and it did not disappoint. We got the winter salad, the taleggio and the zucchini pie. We loved the flavors and can't wait to come back and try the rest, lots of people were getting the rigatoni so we gotta try that too read more
Bufalina due has been one of our favorite restaurants in Austin. Even in peak covid when the restaurant wasn't open for dine-in we would drive 20 mins, order take-out and sit in the car to devour their incredible pizza. The food and service here never disappoints us and they somehow manage to put together some unique elements in their pizza that would normally never make sense in a pizza. Today we went in and got their newest carrots and chimichurri pizza which sounds really weird but it was mind-blowing to be honest. read more

Pizza and wine? Can't go wrong. This place is great for a weekend night out with friends. The wait was about 45 minutes in a Friday night. It was packed, they seated us family style with a another group. We all started off with a glass of wine which I thought was delightful, however pricey in my opinion so be careful how many glasses you order. Or just buy a bottle. Any who, we ordered 3 pizzas which were about mid size to feed 3 people. The bread is doughy, little crisp from the burnt bubbles. The cool thing is the wood fire oven they have in house so you can see your pizza enter. The best thing to enter my mouth was the taleggio pizza, which had sausage, mozzarella, and scallion. The sausage had a hint of sweetness which helped balance out the savory of the pizza. I enjoyed it very very much, as well as the ambiance of the restaurant. It's a great date night spot! read more

Super cute and cozy ambiance with a casual dining experience. The pizza is truly Naples style with a crust that has those blackened bubbles and inner chewiness. Yum. The sauce was delicious and fresh and the cheese stretched from my mouth to its original pizza slice home nestled in my hand. The check was delivered in a paperback book which added personality as did the 90s playlist. Pizza and "No Rain" from Blind Melon, I'll take it! Would recommend for a date, friends dinner. Make reservations for groups of 6 or more. read more
We came here for the first time today and we're in love with their happy hour menu!! All pizzas are 50% off including the toppings The host that greeted us at the entrance was super nice and friendly. I love how they set up the pizza oven next to the dining tables so we could actually watch them make pizzas as we dine. The indoor space is super chic & cozy and the vibe was fun too! I give 4/5 for their pizzas and 3/5 for their house wine. read more

this was our first time dining at bufalina due! the wait was about 35 minutes and it was totally worth it for the amazing rosé, pizzas, and the main reason i went there, the pasta! i would say it's pretty loud inside during busy hours and would benefit from a few rugs or sound proofing around the venue, but otherwise our experience was perfect. read more

Came here on a Tuesday and it was super packed! Really loved all the pizzas I tried, especially the sausage pizza. It's a true brick oven pizza and the taste reflects that. I also ordered the gnocchi but be warned that it's a very small portion, almost child size. read more
I've been wanting to visit for a while now, especially with their steal of a happy hour with 1/2 off pizzas! We went a bit later on a Friday night than planned, making it just in time for their happy hour deal, but fortunately being a party of 2 we were able to be sat immediately and put our order in. Parking was a mess (both lots + street parking full) so we gave up and just paid for the valet. Unfortunately the valet guy said it was only complimentary for the other restaurant, not Bufalina, so he charged us $10. OVERVIEW: The restaurant is really small and they seat sort of community style, which is nice in a way because theoretically no seats are left empty. However, it can feel a bit cramped during peak hours. The service was quick, and the pizzas took a bit longer with everyone ordering at the same time to get in on happy hour, but overall the food was good in value and taste. We would definitely revisit, just perhaps not on a Friday at 5pm. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, a small lot in the front with a larger lot/street parking in the back. Do not get the valet confused - it's not complimentary for Bufalina (he charged us $10). - Reservations? No, walk-in. - Happy hour? Daily from 4-5:30pm; 1/2 off pizzas, 1/2 odd bottles of wine under $100, $6 glasses of house wine, $2 off draught pours. FOOD RATINGS: - Today's mozzarella (3/5): This was good, but I'm not sure I can say $14 good. The mozzarella is soft and fresh. The mushrooms were tasty. Pepperoncinis were simple and straight from a jar. The flavor was good but nothing extraordinary. - Caesar salad (3/5): At first glance it looks really good, but it needed more dressing. I understand not wanting to drown it in dressing, but other than the tangy flavor of lemon and the parmesan, I hardly tasted any creaminess or flavor other than the romaine itself. The parm and bread crumb croutons were good. - Margherita pizza (4/5): A simple, classic pizza. I knock off a point because the sauce lacked flavor and depth. It was more of a salsa vibe vs. saucy. I know margherita pizzas are just crushed tomato with garlic and olive oil, etc., but this need a kick of more garlic flavor or sea salt. It was still tasty though and hit the spot. - Mushroom pie (4/5): Pretty good. I loved the flavor on this. Next time I'll add sausage or something! But I would definitely order this one again. read more

Absolutely great pizza! I love the vibe of this little place and after hearing how good the pizza was from various friends I knew I had to try it for myself! My husband and I shared a pizza and got the pepperoni, mushrooms and basil and it was probably some of the best pizza I have had! Splitting a pizza worked for us that night but if your extra hungry I suggest getting 2 and trying out one of their signature pizzas! Oh and don't skip out on the dessert the vanilla ice cream and sherry was a extra nice way to end our meal! read more

Bufalina is SO SO GOOD. Best pizza I've had so far in Austin. We got it to-go so I can't speak for the restaurant ambiance but the pizza itself is phenomenal!!!! Vodka pie and mushroom pie were so good. I've also had red pie before and that was yummy. I don't think you can go wrong it's all so so so good. Wish they'd open up their E Cesar Chávez location so they'd be closer! read more

Arguably the best happy hour in town with half off pizzas and wine deals 4p-530p!! The pizza is neopolitan and extremely well-executed. This and desano are probably best in the city but this HH makes bufalina a cut above. Come early, it gets busy! read more
Absolutely delicious menu. Amazingly friendly staff. Starters: Burrata - 5/5 Pizza: Pickle Pie w/ Prosciutto - 5/5 Dessert: Tiramisu Cannoli - 5/5 Wow, just wow. Service is phenomenal. Super friendly and knowledgeable. The burrata is sooo fresh and tasty. The veggies that accompanied it were fantastic, and so was the ciabatta. The pickle pie is amazing. Really great flavors. Order the cannoli, and enjoy. They are absolutely incredible. Full of flavor, fresh, crispy, and taste like heaven. read more

Loved the vibe here! The lighting was super nice, although the space was a bit cramped. I absolutely loved the olive oil cake! I also really liked the burrata - the marinated tomato salad complimented the burrata and the focaccia so well. I also really like the roasted mushroom pizza and the sauce base - however I did find the crust slightly dry. read more

I've really enjoyed the original Bufalina's on the East Side, and decided to try their follow-up on Burnet. This is a Neapolitan style pizza, and while it wasn't as good as downtown, I wasn't disappointed. Really enjoyed seeing their wood-fired dome oven at work. Learned that this oven's base is a single piece of stone, and that it sustains heat of around 800-900 degrees - which lets them cook a pizza in ~2 minutes! I ordered the classic Margherita (tomato, mozzarella, basil, parmesan) and a Calabrese - (salami, serrano ham, garlic toppings and a spicy sauce). Both were delicious, with nice 'leoparding' - the spots of char that add interest to the crust. Exceptionally good salami slices and the spicy Calabrese sauce gave me a nice 'afterglow'. Both pizzas were a little over-sauced, which made them soggy even for the style of pizza. IMO, it's also a little pricey for what you get - but it's worth keeping in mind that this is meant to be a more upscale dinner experience. Worthwhile visiting if you're in the area. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either. read more

Best pizza in Austin and best happy hour hands down! The pizza is HALF OFF during 4-5:30! You basically gets two pizzas for the price of one! It's an incredible deal and some of the best pizza we've had in Austin. We love the calabrese (our go to EVERY TIME) and the vodka one is delicious as well! You just can't go wrong with the pizza menu here. The pasta is AMAZING truly some of the best pasta in town as well - we also love the Caesar salad! It's simple but done perfectly and enough for two people to share! They recently added an olive oil cake to the desert menu as well and it is so delicious we ended up getting two in one night. My fiancée and I come here so often - at least once a month- we know we have spent more than 1k at this place by now and have no regrets lmao the service is always great - never had any issues before! It is a smaller place - can get filled up quickly but nice, darker ambiance! Honestly nothing but good things about this place from us. read more

Visited on a Saturday without a reservation and was luckily greeted by no wait, yay! However, we were seated by the bathroom, which isn't preferred but it did allow for a direct view to where the leftovers are packed. Just an FYI, one of the servers/bussers straight up touches pizza with her bare hands, but luckily our server didn't do this as it is quite unsettling. Our service for the night was also a bit odd as after ordering the calzone, we were told they ran out of ingredients for the night, and then our server in the beginning was different than the end and I think the switch went down mid service...I was trying to get some crushed red pepper, made direct eye contact with our original server, and then she completely ignored me as she continued to drink her glass of wine, yeah I was so confused and a bit irritated, but eventually server 2 came around to help us. Overall, the pizza didn't seem worth the price point as the crust was a bit doughy, and the middle of the pizza was super wet that the pizza just fell apart midbite. Out of the two pizzas we were able to order, I liked the calabrese more as the herbed goat cheese of the mushroom was just a bit too much for me. The only redeeming thing about this dining experience was the cacio e pepe but honestly this is a pretty simple dish to make but I did like the hand cut tagliatelle. I am really hoping I came on an off night, as the service, food, and whole dining experience was disappointing. The pizza definitely wasn't worth the price, the communication of shift changes could be improved, as well as food handling practices. Overall, if you wanna come here maybe come during happy hour so you won't feel like you wasted as much money. Oh, and just a heads up they only have beer and wine, no other alchy. read more
Came here on a Sunday night and found no line, which was nice. We ordered a Fresca pizza to share, which turned out to be a bit of a mistake since the size of the pies aren't that big, and you can't change it. The pizza itself was fairly good. There was a nice lemon scent and flavor that came with it, and the cheese and arugula were tasty. Only other negative other than the size was that the pizza ended up being $25 after tax and tip. There are better places to get pizza if you want a cheap pizza for a quick meal. read more

This is probably my favorite pizza place in Austin! Serving Neopolitan pizzas (my fave!) with delicious flavors, you can't go wrong when ordering here. I came with some friends and we got the Calabrese, Vodka, and Red Pie. We added sausage to the Vodka Pizza and pepperoni to the Calabrese--well worth the added costs. If you're in the mood for some bussin pizza, I would highly recommend this place!! read more

I love me some Bufalina. I used to frequent this place often on the east side! Their pizza so so good! Super authentic flavors and great service. We went on Sunday where the wines were 1/2 off before 5 I think? Such a great deal. Allowed us to try something we may not have otherwise ordered. The red pizza w sausage added was definitely my favorite! We did order bib salad that never came but we ordered way too much food, and were fine just having it taken off the bill. Great leftovers too!! read more
It was my friend's final night in Austin and she picked Bufalina Due for dinner. Best choice ever. We couldn't have had a more perfect dining experience! The service: super quick. They got us in and out with lots of time to spare before our post-dinner plans. The space: very cozy and intimate. I loved it, but I could see some people being bothered by having tables so close together. The walls are lined with hundreds of bottles of wine and the brick pizza oven is in the middle of the restaurant almost, so you can watch as they cook your food. The food: We got the caesar salad and the vodka arrabbiata pizza. Both delicious. The breadcrumbs on the caesar added great texture and the salad was perfectly dressed. Pizza had a good spicy kick to it and the best chewy crust. I will not make the mistake of driving next time, so I can check out their expansive wine menu. This place is definitely a top contender for best Neapolitan pizza I've had in Austin yet! read more
