They fixed the body ok, but I noticed the car rode kinda bumpy , like I could feel every bump on the road. I brought it back asking them to look at it again and explained to them what the problem was. After taking another look at it, they still couldn't find anything. My insurance company suggested that compared to the shiny nice new rental that I got in the mean time my car might just seem to drive differently. I knew this wasn't the case though. There was still something wrong. So I took it to the Saturn Dealer afterward, and they were able to find the problem and fix it no problem. I don't know why this was so hard, but experiences like this lead me to always take my car into the dealer if I want it done right.

Nelson's seems great at first, but then problems come up from their prior fixes. Our window broke 4…read moretimes because they used cheap parts then made us pay to use a genuine factory part. The final straw is we had a coolant problem about a year ago they fixed. Recently the coolant has been leaking and our new mechanic found Nelson's didnt even tighten one of the hose connectors and once again used the incorrect connector that could actually damage the hoses as they expand when the engine heats up. I thought Nelson's was top tier, but the multiple follow-up repairs make it not worth it to go here anymore. Its unfortunate because they are great about fixing their mistakes... but with how much they charge there shouldnt be mistakes like this. This last small mistake could have blown up the engine. I cant in good conscience recommend going here.

As there's no ceiling for cost on repair like it would be if you did a insurance claim. I only wanted a portion of the damage fix as the rest was repairable by hand. They wanted to completely replace my tailgate with a small dent in it rather than repair. They said it's close to cost on replace vs repair. That's absolutely not true. The cost nearly doubled my first estimate. And for less damage work. It left a bad impression of this place after I left. I also didn't like that he was talking to my male coworker that was with me instead of me. It was my car, and he knew it. I don't advise bringing your car here. Especially if you're a woman.
