I can't leave 0 stars or I would…read more I had my 2005 6.0 F250 towed to COOKS. The problem was no start. I asked them to diagnose the no-start. On the phone they told me $100 and it would take a week to get to it. Mechanic calls me the same day it arrives and tells me the batteries are both bad. OK, they're Motorcraft under warranty from the dealer. He tells me they won't do nothing for you and tried to sell me on a pair of Interstates. Right away I brought him another battery to pull the codes with and I took the bad ones. It was a few days to get replacements and I brought them to cooks. In the mean time this mechanic had done several hours of labor on stuff we never talked about - including run my truck on the one battery to perform what the invoice lists as a "compression test" The next day (the service writer) calls me and says we put in the new batteries, it will be $385 and I can keep your truck or you can pay this. I told her I would pay it but how did we get to $385 when I just wanted them to pull the codes? She got the mechanic and put me on with him. He told me my truck was so low on oil it wasn't hitting the stick so he drained it to see how low. Nobody ever told me it was low or asked about topping it off until several days later. According to him he replaced the old oil, topped it off with synthetic blend and ran it for a couple hours, did the "compression test" and afterwards it was another 3 quarts low so he topped it off again. He told me it has A LOT of blowby in 3 cylinders, theyre "dead cylinders" and It probably needs 30-50 hours in the machine shop. He explained my motor was toast because it went through 3 quarts in a couple hours and none had leaked out on the floor. (He later went back and said it actually hadn't lost an additional 3 quarts, he was mistaken, it must have gone into the valley) Bottom line he said they did 6 hours of work on my truck and I'm only getting billed for 3 hours plus the oil he topped off. So I went to pay the invoice that day, Friday, at 3pm, I think they close at 4. The door is locked nobody's home. On the posted hours it says Monday to Friday open until 5pm, Saturday by appointment. I called and left and message at 3:10 and waited around until 4:15, nobody ever showed. I messaged them on Facebook and I got a quick response saying we could maybe meet Sat what time works for me? I respond "anytime" and never heard back. I go back Monday morning. I asked for results from the "compression test". The mechanic says he has no report, the results were in the computer when he was doing the test and there is no way to access them now. I said I would like to know which cylinders were having the blowby. He said to get the individual readings he would have to pull the glow plugs and that would be a more expensive test. I don't get why I would have 6 hours of work done to my truck and have nothing to show except it was low on oil. I ask the desk lady why we're at $385 when the sign on the wall reads any repair over $50 requires a written estimate? She tells me she will charge me $166 and "I should be ashamed of myself". According to them, they closed before 3 on Friday because they were "sick of customers coming in and bullying them" $166 later I got my truck back filled with a potentially harmful mix of different types of oil, and they ran it for at least "a couple hours" on this concoction to whack me with the compression test that doesn't give results. On the invoice nothing is itemized, no results from ANYTHING, they didn't use CJ4 oil in my 6.0, didn't change the filter, and they did all this without telling me the no-start was because it was low on oil.

Had our truck towed there in July. It is going on 3 weeks it's still not fixed very hard to…read moremaintain a job when you don't have a way there.
