Appetizers like shaking beef (sirloin tips in teriyaki), calamari and small burger and fries are $10. Tried each of these and they were delicious! When the weather gets a bit warmer there are marina-side outside tables. Wait staff was so friendly and helpful. Covid cleaning was reassuring (staff masked, tables spaced, guests unmask while seated). So glad Budd's is back after being closed for months during the pandemic. I've come twice in the past year and it might as well be a drive thru. Both times at the bar and we ordered the tomahawk special and a $100+ btl of wine in addition to starters. in the middle of the steak and about 8:10 pm the bartender asks if we want dessert. $400 bill for 2 people and terrible rushed service. A few nights ago I returned because I was staying at the hotel next door so went in about 7:10 and started with a glass of white wine. I then ordered a starter salad and a steak. The salad came out in about 5 min with some bread. No more then 4 min later, a waiter brought my strak out to put down as I was ordering a btl of wine. I wasn't even remotely done with my salad. The broccolini was cold and mashed potatoes weren't much better. for a $50 steak, I expect better food and service. As I was continuing to eat, around 7:45, you saw one of the chefs of pastry chefs come out to the bar to ask if more dessert orders are coming in. It's 7:45 and you don't close till 8 which is still super early. I spent $200 for 1 person and start to finish was 50 min. Thai place is a cafeteria drive through that is charging as if it's a nice restaurant. 2 terrible experiences and no won't be returning. My advice is to steer clear. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. My top sirloin lacked any flavor or seasoning. The presentation was unimaginative. Our server was unprofessional, inattentive, and ineffective. We had to ask for a beverage menu and was not asked if we wanted a starter or drinks before he took our entre order. Hunter should not be waiting tables if he continues to act as he did. Showed up for our reservation. We ended up waiting almost 45 min to get seated. Server was nice but honestly not that good. We were a party of 5. 3 of us got steak 2 of which were under cooked. Budd's is a classic steak house, sort of garish lighting, but mainly large and dark inside. It is owned by Anthony's which also has a branch in the same Columbia Point area. With a reservation, we were seated quickly and our Server was Jon F. who gave us good and attentive service. One thing we noticed, however, was that the place was pretty full and that made it fairly noisy. We went the full Monty with cocktails, wine and entrees. I haven't been here before, but the prices were a bit higher than Boise's, but not outrageously so. One thing that was a bit nicer than usual was a wine sommelier who offered us special glassware for our pinot noir wine and not just the typical red wine (Bordeaux) glasses. It allowed the drinker to enjoy the aroma and taste more completely. I had never had glasses for Pinots in this shape before. The food was done well as one would expect from a steak house at this price point. We enjoyed the dinner and would return if we were looking for this steak house type of environment. read more

First time at Budd's Broiler in Richland. The restaurant is huge with private dining and small party rooms as you walk in. The main dining room overlooks the marina and Columbia River. For appetizers we started with the baked brie with honey and fruit. I loved the brie. The top was brullied and covered with a little honey, served with sliced Granny Smith apples, grapes and blueberries. I loved the flavor of the brie with the honey. I liked it even more with the bread than the crackers that were served with. I ordered the ribeye and others ordered the lamb and the steak and porcini appetizer. The ribeye was perfectly tender and seasoned well. The lamb was cooked to medium doneness and the steak appetizer came with two plates and could have easily been a substantial entree. I like this restaurant. It is classic steakhouse which is comforting. The wine list is good, appetizers tasty, service was attentive and the meal satisfying. read more

There were a couple minor mishaps with our orders but management was quick to fix everything and ensure everyone was having a great meal. The filets were all fantastic! I used to love coming here, but our last couple visits have not been great! We came last month and our food was not good at all. I will start with that visit, husband had ordered a burger with cheese and bacon. When he got the burger it had no cheese or bacon so the waiter took it back to the kitchen so the chef could fix the issue. When it came back it had cold cheese and cold bacon with some kind of white foam on it. The manager apologized for it and took the burger of our bill and gave us a card for a free appetizer. The only thing wrong with my salad was too much dressing but not a huge issue. We decided to comeback because they were busy the last time we came so we thought maybe we would give them another chance. First we had the shaking beef and it wasn't made like last time, sauce was thin and didn't coat the meat but was still yummy. I ordered the scampi prawns and they were over cooked and rubbery. Husband ordered a burger which was ok but did not meet standard previous visits. We ordered the burnt cream and was unable to eat it due to an issue of the fresh berries on the top of the burnt cream serious issue! We told our waiter that we were unable to eat the dessert and pointed out the issue. The manager came over and we showed her the issue and she gave us our check and said she would show the kitchen staff but did not apologize so we paid the bill and took care of our waiter, he was excellent and left. This place had a very good steak. I was not impressed with the cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned and got a very poor cocktail. The atmosphere is not that good but the food made up for that. I'd say this place has a great steak that is a little over priced. You'd probably have just as good a dining experience for half the price and with better cocktails at LuLus. read more

My husband and I had heard amazing things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try for date night. First we have both gained a bit of weight in the past year or so, that being said we were seated in a small booth in which he was a bit more comfortable that I was however, I thought they would have offered to switch us to a table from a booth which didn't happen. The steaks were no better than we would have gotten at Outback. The waitress was nice and knew the menu. Anthony's did a very good job remodeling "Anthony's Event Center" aka: "Sundance Grill" .... The Restaurant picked up an additional four excellent four tops with very good window views located where the stairs to the patio were located. I love their open kitchen concept. The bar is three times bigger than Anthony's. All their meat selections is dry aged. Wine mark ups ~x 2.5. excellent wine glassware is used. Soup, Salad, Vegetable and Starches are all Ala Carte in addition to the Beef entrees. (Please note; we discovered later that each beef entrée was served with about 1/2 cup of sautéed cherry tomatoes and about 1/2 cup of tempura style sautéed onion ring slivers).... We shared a "shaking beef appetizer" ($13) ... We had separate 45 day dry aged 8 oz Top Sirloin ($24) & 12 oz Top Sirloin ($29) ... Bread for two ($0.00).... We shared two side dishes: Brussels Sprouts with toasted Hazelnuts ($9)..... Carrots $ Kale ($7)...... and a bottle of Dunham "Trutina" Red Blend ($55) .... Grand Total for two people with tip ($174.90) .... We enjoyed excellent flavors and plate presentations.... we will be back. BTW: I knocked off one star because the restaurant needs to install retractable solar shades in the Main dining room. The afternoon setting sun was blinding many patrons near the window locations.
