Not only was the merchandise amazing and one of a kind finds from clothing to jewelry and accessories but the associates working there were super friendly and helpful. I saw a necklace I liked but could not find any coordinating earrings. I found some earrings online when I got back to Phoenix and called Sage Brush Trading to inquire about the necklace since I did not see it on their online store. I had the pleasure of speaking to Sarah. Sarah was very kind and knew exactly what necklace I was referring to from my description. Sarah went the extra mile to take a photo/text it over to me to ensure we were both on the same page to ensure she would be sending me the correct necklace and she promptly mailed out the order with a very warm thank you note inside the shipment. I'm a stay-at-home mom and don't get the opportunity to go shopping very often, so I was really looking forward to having my mom with me to help me find something I felt good in. When I first walked in, one of the employees asked if I needed help, and she was very kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience after that was completely different. There was another employee, who I believe was a manager, with pink hair who was putting things away but repeatedly staring at me throughout the store. It was very noticeable, and it made me extremely uncomfortable. The entire time I felt like I was being watched, judged, and possibly talked about. I had my infant with me in a stroller, and yes, my children were having a particularly difficult day. I sincerely apologize for that and was doing my best to keep them calm. They normally do not behave that way, and I was already feeling a little vulnerable being only six months postpartum with my fourth child. Nothing fits me the way it used to, and I was simply hoping to find a nice outfit and feel good about myself for once. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. As a mom, I already don't get many opportunities to do things for myself, and experiences like this make me want to stick to online shopping instead. I understand that employees have to be aware of what is happening in their store, but there is a difference between being attentive and making a customer feel like they are being watched. I hope management can take this as constructive feedback. Not every mom walking into your store with four children and a stroller should feel like she is being treated with suspicion. Moms deserve to feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident when they shop too. I really hope my next shopping experience somewhere else is a little more positive.
