he absolute worst experience. Sherry Shepherd is a joke of a doctor. Absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. She came in the room and didn't even make eye contact until about 5 minutes in and barely looked at me more than 2-3 times the entire visit. The she immediately told me to stop talking as she needed to read what was entered in the computer. When she started reading the narrative for why I was there, and I responded to her question, she immediately placed her hand up to stop me and said she didn't need to hear that right now. She then went through my complaint but literally word for word as she was more preoccupied with typing it into the computer than actually listening to me. Wouldn't let me say more than 2-3 words at a time or said I was talking too fast and she had to type it, and to stop. She then proceeded to say what I was feeling was normal, and I should just take 2 Ibuprofen tablets twice a day, use some artificial tears and I'll be fine. When I reiterated that I was unable to move my eye without pain and had blurred vision and swelling and I literally couldn't function and that I was concerned that those things had only worsened my symptoms thus far, she just said it'll go away and proceeded to attempt to end the visit. I was so upset that I started crying and had to ask her to please listen to me as she continued to ignore my concerns. She eventually stepped out and said she had to check something and left. She ended up giving me a prescription to help but the prescription was not written correctly (should have been drops for just a few days but the Rx was for daily and with 6 months of refills). I left the office in tears as I was so incredibly frustrated. The front office and the assistant who checked me in: fabulous.. so nice! But the doctor, the one person that needed to be attentive, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable; she was anything but this. One thing we knew we'd miss when we relocated from SoCal was the Vision Care office we'd been visiting for 17 years. I called late in the year to schedule appointments for both my sons and myself. We were fortunate to be placed on the cancellation list, and even more fortunate that we were all able to be seen during December when they busy. Due to insurance issues last year, I had my annual exam completed by another doctor. For the past year my glasses were not quite right. I decided to pay for VSP insurance and return to Dr. Morton. I am so thankful!! My last prescription only contained 1 out of 4 elements that my eyes require. Dr. Morton has me on the right track now and I can't wait for my new glasses to come in. I got my first ever eye exam here and it was good, the Doctor is really nice. The problems started when I tried to get contacts with them. Firstly, they charged me for two exams, once to get glasses and a second time for contacts. The contacts were shit, they did not fit at all, and the process they take you through to get them fitted is exhausting. They would not even give me the prescription after two visits for getting fitted!!! My advice would be go to walmart! Walmart did a quick painless exam for $109. I got my contacts fitted and they immediately gave me a prescription for my contacts and glasses! Ya, save your money people! read more
