Days later my eye appointment had arrived, and I was on time; due to the automated text reminder. BuckEye Vision Cares staff was beyond friendly. he absolute worst experience. Sherry Shepherd is a joke of a doctor. Absolutely no bedside manner…read morewhatsoever. She came in the room and didn't even make eye contact until about 5 minutes in and barely looked at me more than 2-3 times the entire visit. The she immediately told me to stop talking as she needed to read what was entered in the computer. When she started reading the narrative for why I was there, and I responded to her question, she immediately placed her hand up to stop me and said she didn't need to hear that right now. She then went through my complaint but literally word for word as she was more preoccupied with typing it into the computer than actually listening to me. Wouldn't let me say more than 2-3 words at a time or said I was talking too fast and she had to type it, and to stop. She then proceeded to say what I was feeling was normal, and I should just take 2 Ibuprofen tablets twice a day, use some artificial tears and I'll be fine. When I reiterated that I was unable to move my eye without pain and had blurred vision and swelling and I literally couldn't function and that I was concerned that those things had only worsened my symptoms thus far, she just said it'll go away and proceeded to attempt to end the visit. I was so upset that I started crying and had to ask her to please listen to me as she continued to ignore my concerns. She eventually stepped out and said she had to check something and left. She ended up giving me a prescription to help but the prescription was not written correctly (should have been drops for just a few days but the Rx was for daily and with 6 months of refills). I left the office in tears as I was so incredibly frustrated. The front office and the assistant who checked me in: fabulous.. so nice! But the doctor, the one person that needed to be attentive, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable; she was anything but this. Literally the worst experience and I will never return or recommend this doctor or practice.

Received the wrong prescription multiple times and wasn't notified when contacts arrived. If you value your time, look elsewhere. Further details below: 1. During my exam, 3 separate employees shined a very bright light in my eyes multiple times. Left with a migraine. In my experience, this happens only once an exam instead of 5 times. 2. My first pair of contacts I received was completely wrong. Maybe from the multiple people giving me an exam? 3. I was never notified that my contacts had arrived. I called almost a month after my exam and they replied that they had just come in this morning. What a crazy (truly unbelievable) coincidence. 4. Had to come back in for a whole new eye exam. 5. Finally got the right contacts, after months. 6. Asked for my prescription to get glasses at a third party and you guessed it...that prescription was wrong. 7. When I asked for the correct glasses prescription, I was told to come in for another exam. That would be 3 exams in 3 months just to get some contacts and glasses.
