I took my sugga to buckeyes today and it was delicious. We had the breakfast sandwiches (ham provolone on croissant and bacon cheddar on wheat) and of course doughnuts. Get a red velvet for sure the strawberry is a little dry but good. Parking is interesting so be prepared

This is the donut shop to visit on the campus of Ohio State University, and some would say the best in the city of Columbus. Always popular with alumni and in the original building and location, Buckeye donuts has a smallish counter service operation, and the typical traditional glass display cases full of delicious donuts for carry out. it is a must try if you have never been, and a must visit if you are returning to High St and OSU. There are restaurants and eateries throughout the state of Ohio that are loaded with history & tradition. This is one of them and you simply cannot miss it.

I had my order delivered. I wanted something sweet so donuts were a great choice but thought I should have something for dinner so I also ordered the gyro. The gyro was what you'd expect, but the meat didn't have a hint of warmth to it and was really salty. The donuts on the other hand...they were out of this world!!! I had the Buckeye donut of course and had ordered the apple spice donut. They didn't have the apple spice so they substituted an apple fritter which is more expensive for no additional cost. The Buckeye donut was slightly larger than my palm and the filling tasted just like the Buckeye candy! The apple fritter was the size of my hand if not bigger but light and airy with good flavors of cinnamon and apple including pieces of apple inside.

Tried the Buckeye & blueberry + German chocolate donuts. Then, I had to try a BEC on a plain bagel. I love yeast donuts and thought the buckeye was fantastic. Also, the blueberry cake donut tasted like a yummy warm muffin. Great service & had an old school feel!

First time visiting the OSU campus, the first stop was Buckeye Donuts -- which seems to be an important part of the student/alumni experience! We ordered the Buckeye donut, the apple fritter and 2 types of lattes. Everything was fresh. Staff was friendly. And they were selling exclusive OSU hoodies that we had to snag. Even though I'm not from the area, and didn't attend school here, I could feel the nostalgia-- this place has an old school vibe and is very welcoming.

For the price you can't beat this place. The donuts are amazing. I would go here 9 times out of 10 before I go to Dunkin. The staff is friendly and the vibe is very much family owned. The food I have yet to try but I would definitely go back and see what the rest of the menu is all about!

Buckeye Donuts is a Columbus institution, enough said. You can't go wrong with any of their delicious cake donuts. Love the variety and service is always great.

From the hand-made donuts, always fresh and delicious, to the always personable and attentive staff, this is my go-to 24 hr choice. Not saying that the other chains aren't good- it's just that Buckeye Donuts is Great!

Picked this shop as it was recommended as the best apple fritter in Columbus. So as an apple fritter lover I had high hopes. For me this is not a great apple fritter. I look for a nice crispy outside, soft chewy inside with the obvious chunks of apples. This one had the crispy outside but the inside felt a little dry and lacked any apple chucks. Had they had apple chunks inside It probably would have helped with multitude and been perfect. But as it was it felt like it was at least a half day old and not that great. The blueberry donut had a good flavor but again felt maybe older than desireable. I understand they are 24hrs but some things tasted to have certainly been on the shelf just as many hours. I know the blueberry donuts usually aren't as airy as a plain glazed and more cake like but this one was dense and slightly dry. As for the service, that was 5 star. The cashier was helpful, and patient while I decided what I wanted and got request from others over the phone. I will say while I was already getting the Apple fritter he recommend that and the blueberry which both missed the mark. Maybe they are/were slow sellers and that was his way of pushing them but they were not what he claimed they would be. "Top favorites" Over all decent service but low grade donuts and unfortunate I can't eat the service. Late night cravings this place would be perfect. For fresh quality donuts with good filling in the morning probably not the best choice.

An awesome late night spot! They are opened 24/7 and they have many donut flavors to choose from. The donuts are so soft, we had to buy a couple more donuts to take home! We weren't able to try the breakfast menu since they stop serving breakfast after 10pm, but we got a Philly cheesesteak gyro instead. It hit the spot after a concert!

New location, same great service and taste!…read more I have tried donuts in many states and countries and I have yet to find one better than here. Well, if I'm honest there was this Amish stand at a farmers market in Central PA that had outstanding donuts, but they only sold them a few times a year and I have no idea how to find them! This trip, I got the big boy donut, a white icing cake donut, and a pretzel. The big boy donut is a huge glazed donut as big as your head. That's right, you can hold it up to your head and it will be just as large!!! This time, however, they put a twist on them and added icing to a few. I know, sweet on top of a sweet sugary donut seems like overkill, and it was. But come on, anyone willing to eat a donut as big as his head has no problem with something super duper sweet! The other items were equally good, and I liked their new larger location. They even added a few new items since I was last there like donut holes/bites. This place continues to reign as the donut king in my estimation, and the fact that they FINALLY accept credit cards now is a huge win.

I went on a weekday morning so there wasn't a large crowd. Boy, that entrance lane to their parking…read morelot is full of patched areas! Anyway, the number system works well, gives time to look around. They had a nice variety and even packaged bread and cookies. The pack of 10 cookies for $9.50 didn't appeal to me so I stuck with donuts. The donuts were delicious. I paid a little over $11 for 5 donuts. The croissant donut was outstanding. Really, all 5 were fresh and well worth the trip and the price. I will definitely return for more.

It's a small shop by a gas station. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they were ready to take our order before we were ready to give it. I asked about a couple of the varieties in the display counter and those answers helped me make my selections. We ended up with 6 different varieties. A maple cream stick, donut stick, apple fritter, raspberry jelly filled, a buckeye donut (for my hubby) and a chocolate espresso donut (for me). The price was quite reasonable and the people working were very friendly. I also ended up getting a bag of coffee beans after talking with our server and getting her recommendations. She even gave me a sample of one of them they had brewed. We paid for our items and headed out. Several people came while we were there. In fact our friends missed getting to try the espresso donut because someone's that jumped in between us bought the last of them. After trying it when we got to our car I can see why! DELICIOUS!! Would go back for it alone. My husband didn't even wait until we got to the car to try his Buckeye donut and he loved it. Their apple fritter was better than one I bought earlier that morning from a bakery. I didn't think the raspberry jelly filled had nearly enough filling. It easily needed tripled. I say that as someone who worked for three years in a bakery and filled donuts. All in all this was a great stop and if we're in the area again we would definitely drop by to see what's being served.

Anyway, my angel of a boyfriend brought me here for treats. We skipped in just before closing - as a bakery, they start early and close by 3. Immediately, the sights and scents take me back to a corner bakery on Long Island or in the city. I practically ran to the black & white cookies - a forever fave! We got cannolis and the B&W but I will definitely be back to try more things. The cookie was out of this world and just like from my favorite Manhattan corner deli. The cannolis are authentically old school, with the filling not super sweet for American tastes but rather attuned to an Italian palate. So fresh and good! Snagged an extra large house dough and some Italian pepperoni to make pizza for dinner too.
