Stopped at the Buc-ee's in Denton (2800 S Interstate 35 E) for a quick grab--water, sandwiches, some fruit, and dip. The bathrooms were gross, which is ridiculous for a place known for clean restrooms. But checkout was the real nightmare. A woman manager moved us to four different lines for no reason, and each time she did, the line we just left opened up. It felt like a game of musical registers run by someone with no clue. On the fourth move, the cashier we were dumped in front of just pointed us back to someone else. Total clown show. How hard is it to check out five items? Unprofessional, disorganized, and flat-out annoying. Do better. read more

Clean bathrooms, lots of food items, tons of Buc-ee's branded toys, clothing, cups, and miscellaneous etc.. It really is a one stop shop. Great place to get a souvenir for your kiddos, and walk around to stretch your legs if you've been traveling on the road. We always stop due to the clean bathrooms, and my hubby loves their BBQ style sandwiches. My youngest loves the plethora of icee flavored beverages available. For those who know Wawa, this place is Wawa on steroids. It is as big as a supermarket. A lot of snacks, salsa, fudge, sandwiches, clothing, candied nuts, dessert, jerky, children toys including the adorable beaver mascot. Fudge: buy 4 gets 2 free. Six squares fit into a box. There were a lot of kinds to choose from. You can see how they are making the candied nuts so you know that they are fresh. Definitely get the brisket sandwich. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH BUC-EE'S CUSTIMER SERVICE AND RETURN POLICY!! I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Buc-ee's and, unfortunately, will no longer be shopping there. Not that they care. I attempted to return an item simply to exchange it for a different color, only to be told that returns are not accepted under any circumstances. I was informed that I had to repurchase the exact same item in a different size if I wanted it-essentially paying twice. What's most troubling is that nowhere on the receipt or at the point of sale is there any clear indication of a "NO RETURN/NO REFUNDS" policy. When I brought this up, the employee pointed to a small, barely visible sign behind the checkout counter and dismissively said, "That's our policy," with a smug and unhelpful attitude. I was dismissed with a casual "Oh well," which made the situation even more frustrating. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is completely unacceptable for a company of this size and reputation. Clear communication of store policies is not just good practice, it's a basic standard. I expected much better from Buc-ee's and am deeply disappointed by how this was handled. read more

Last Buc-ee's visit for this trip. The Denton location was about the same size as Madisonville, which I liked. Since it was the last Buc-ees we're likely to visit for months, we stocked up on our favorite jerky. My wife couldn't resist buying her second bag of fresh beaver chips of the day. She also discovered the ice cream section and bought some to eat in the car. Bathrooms were up to the usual spotless standard. Easy access to/from the Interstate. 1/28/23 (Visit date) I was SO READY to give Buc-EEs a 5 star until I got home & discovered that I was charged for an EXTRA Beaver Nuggets package that I didn't receive or purchase! It was a destination for me & another friend on this quick travel to Frisco Texas, was so excited & delighted when we finally did. Everything was indeed ideal: customer service (friendliness), impressive restrooms, a great variety of items/products. Pressed for time, didn't have enough to really explore each area, but what I saw (see photos) was like wonderland for tourists & locals alike. The fueling stations were indeed plentiful. There must've been a good 20 or so lanes, if not more! Lots of parking. The interior is brightly lit, fairly clean & orderly. The entrance to the restrooms were adorned with artwork for sale (tasteful & professionally done, see video I posted). Such the tourist that I am, picked up a t-shirt, a fridge magnet, and of course, a couple---TWO Beaver Nuggets packages, because my friend said they're really tasty (for the crew). The cashier lines moved expeditiously & she was really friendly-which distracted me from checking my receipt until I discovered the error when we arrived at my friends' home. "ZJ", the receipt says "Nyah, Jon" charged me a 3rd package. Okay, it's only $4.99, but it's the principle, the error did not receive any acknowledgment or rectification. The phone number provided on the receipt directs me to www.bucees.com, so no live person responds---for a store that's open 24/7, I find that unhelpful. I go to the website, "contact" them & it states to respond to the email that's sent to me. I attempted THREE times (to ensure I input the correct email, NOPE, no response! I checked my email, spam folder, nothing, to this day!! How rude! It is NOT good business practice. Alright: TLDR: fabulous shopping, great items, friendly service, nice restrooms. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING because the phone number & website is BOGUS. Management should troubleshoot this practice. read more

If you're not familiar with Buc-ees, it's basically a gas station on steroids.......and works out 7 days a week..... and doesn't forget leg day..... and also does HIIT.... Okay, I'm sure you get the point. It's a big gas station. But, I'm not talking about just the pumps. The store itself has snacks galore and also gifts and souvenirs. I believe most of the Buc-ees are in the southern states, such as Texas, Alabama, Tennesee, and Georgia. Let's start with the gas pumps. Most of the Buc-ees have around 100 pumps. Think about it. Most of the normal gas stations only have between 8-12 pumps. I believe the current largest one in Tennessee has 120! But, I'm sure most of you want to know what's inside. Well, quite simply, more snacks than you can possibly imagine! They have many pre-packaged snacks, some name brand, some Buc'ees brand. But, let's talk briefly about some unique items. Beef Jerky - While they have a whole wall dedicated to a variety of pre-packed flavors, they also have a display case of the stuff. You can ask for samples, but the Korean BBQ was a top choice of mine. Tacos - They have different varieties, but the breakfast tacos (especially brisket) are fantastic! I wasn't expecting to like them, but there is just something with them, that makes me like them. I even went inside to get another one for the road. Nuts - They have a few different kinds of FRESHLY made almonds and pecans. Very easily to snack on and eat the whole pack. Fudge - The flavors looked so good, that I got a 6-pack. They have them pre-packaged, but you can also pick your own flavors. Buc-ees Nuggets - This is the one snack that is probably the most well-known. You can get the regular, salted caramel, and white cheddar among a few other ones. This is just a small list of what they have over there. Your mind will be blown with the selection. Not to mention, they have a huge selection of fountain drinks. Buc-ees is also known for having clean restrooms, and indeed they did! You don't expect these kind of restrooms at a gas station. I visited this place on the way back to California. I hope they expand out west, cause it was an adventure in itself. But, with my sister living in Dallas, I'm sure I'll visits again. read more

Love buc-ee's!!!! I've been several times and love the feel of a shopping mall for a gas station. Seriously they have everything you need and want. My aunt and cousin or newbies to this experience. I can't believe they had never been here. I exposed them to my guilty pleasure their brisket sandwich which is now almost $9 bucks. It's good the last time I got chopped brisket and it was a lot of fat, so this time a turkey sandwich for me. The sandwich was excellent. I absolutely love Buc-ee's! Introduced to me by my friend, anytime we're passing from Dallas to Oklahoma we have to include a stop. They sell just about everything Buc-ee's branded! My favorite things to purchase for myself is a Tshirt, fresh Beef Jerky and the pineapple soda. As for souvenirs I usually bring back a few stainless steel cups, hats and magnets. My friend would joke they have the cleanest restrooms and they're not kidding at all! Customer service is super friendly and the place is always packed with people. Last time I got one of the brisket sandwich and really enjoyed it with my pineapple soda. And then you get to the food ... they have a bakery, deli and fresh to order delicious sandwiches, they have brisket, pulled pork and fried chicken sandwiches, they have a taco and burrito area, they also have a wall of assorted beef and other meat jerky, pudding, charcuterie, warm nuts, a fudge counter and snacks. Snacks are theirs and known brands. Nuggets are like pirate booty, I enjoyed white cheddar habanero and salted caramel. I taste tested some fudge ... so many choices! Many fountain and bottled soda choices, but I enjoyed fresh unsweetened ice tea. I'm glad there's not one closer to me in Florida as I would probably go to often. However on this stop I was picking up items for the weekend and to bring back to Oklahoma! This place has the cleanest restrooms and some VERY interesting hot food finds. Plus tired their spicy jerky-pretty good not as good as the garlic. Loved you could try jerky and candy samples. Solid brisket sandwich and per all their daily volume priced right. They do indeed have clean bathrooms, about a million gas pumps, and every beaver-branded snack item you could think of. There's hot food to go including barbecue sandwiches (it's a little weird to hear the call and response from the staff in this area: "Fresh turkey on the board!" "FRESH TURKEY ON THE BOARD...")
