I live around the corner from this place. I have tried and tried to patronize this business and they REFUSE to be open enough for me to order ANY food. I've tried in the morning, the afternoon, at lunch and in the evenings on EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK and the grill is ALWAYS SHUT DOWN! Please ....don't waste your time! This place is the definition of a joint. I was desperate for a burger, so i stopped here. It's a small family-run store and eatery but if the wife is not there to cook....you ain't eating! I had the avocado burger. The beef patty was seasoned well but way overcooked, but the fries were good. The burgers are not the same anymore. If the lady's not there don't expect for the kitchen to be open. And on top of that you are only allowed to fill your cup once. I paid 22$ for a double cheese burger and fries with a drink. Way to over priced and they turn of the fountain drinks after you get your drink so you can't get anymore refills. I stopped by for live bait and thought I try out the burger. I waited for the cook to take my order and he ignored me. He was cooking so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt he didn't see me. I assumed the owner saw me waiting while he was working the register so he came over and took my order. It was not a big deal but I wished he acknowledged me waiting to be served. Anyway, whoever thought the best cheeseburger in Texas was sold at fish and tackle store. I ordered the double cheeseburger and was not expecting to bite on the most delicious burger on the planet. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my life and this rank my top 5. The patties and veggie were fresh. I could barely wrap my hand around it because the patties were huge. I've stopped in here a couple of times for a quick breakfast or lunch. Their cheeseburger might be the best kept secret in Sanger. Outstanding onion rings to top it off. I've had the breakfast sandwich before and it hits the spot to start your day. They have a surprisingly large selection for such a tiny place. The service has always been quick but I've also been lucky enough to be there at slow times. Maybe it's busier at other times of the day? As a self proclaimed burger snob, this place is legit. Massive, juicy burgers and fries, piping hot and made to order. A damn good burger.

Went in there today and the lady cooking had NO MASK on, wipes her nose and kept on cooking. The man running the register had his mask below his nose the entire time. Six customers came in while we were in there-NONE had masks on and no one told them otherwise. Bought a fishing license and when asked to pay was told a huge amount and I said we were clear about wanting freshwater only-she said oh you have to buy them all-absolutely not true.
