My sister's came in from out of town and the 1st place they wanted to go to was Buccee's. Being that I live 10 minutes away from one was perfect. Just walking into the place you see how clean and wonderful it smells from the BBQ sandwiches to the freshly made candied nuts. The staff is nice. You are greated as soon as you walk in. One I will say is Buccee's has some of the cleanest restrooms. There is always an attendant in there making sure items were stocked and stalls are clean. We were in this place for a hour. My sisters purchased pajama pants, to shot glasses to fudge, cookies, beaver nuggets, beaver twists. We didn't get any BBQ sandwiches because we were going to dinner after we left. I will say when we left Buccee we had 5 bags full of stuff..lol We will be back because my sister's want to go again before they leave to go back home. read more

Three Buc-ee's in a row is a bit much but that's how it worked out as I wrap up my Texas tour of Buc-ee's, adding Denton as the 30th I have reviewed in https://www.yelp.com/collection/K2PxaWl_0nh8YV5DNxaJVA/Buc-ee-s. Having visited eight in the last week, from Auburn AL and Pass Christian MS and across Texas), it's easy to see how formulaic they are and how they all have the same features. Located adjacent to a busy highway exit, it's easy to access and they don't allow tractor trailers so you're not dodging big trucks. Huge expansive parking lot that rings the whole store. Dozens if not a hundred gas pumps, all clean and free of litter. Multiple entrances with handicapped parking immediately in front of each one. Inside, you'll probably get a "Welcome to Buc-ee's!" as you enter. As you walk around the store, you'll maybe here a shouted "Fresh brisket on the board!" as a new piece of beef is set out for slicing. In the center, a sandwich station where they're making up tacos and sandwiches. There's an area where they are candying nuts. A fudge counter. A jerky counter. A handmade tortilla station. Bunkers with snacks and fresher foods like salads, sandwiches, protein packs, cups of banana pudding and coconut pie. A wall of soda fountains with two dozen options. Coffee and fixings. A third of the store is consumed with decor. Some of it is very much Buc-ee's merchandise with tshirts, swimsuits, hats, jackets and the like. A seasonal tshirt on display. And much of it is Southern styled decor with the occasional bible quote or some other risque and double entendre. Clean restrooms. No, really. They pay a $40k a year salary to people to keep the floors clean, the counters wiped, the paper towels stocked and the toilets clean. I have never seen a dirty Buc-ee's toilet in ever. There a reason Buc-ee's is a destination and they're working to come closer to you. It's always fun to shop at Buc-ee's!! if you haven't tried the barbecue beef sandwich it is a must sliced fresh brisket piled high on a fresh bun. Excellent breakfast tacos, and of course the fudge. Nice selection of souvenirs Buc-ee's clothing. Energetic, friendly staff. read more

This was my first time at this Buc-ee's location and it was the first time I noticed any of the bakery case with fruit flies. I wanted to try one of the paddle tails but there were little flies flying around in the case. The nibblings got the jerky they love and we got a few drinks but overall I was turned off by the bakery case. I love Buc-ee's! I was in Downtown Dallas for two weeks. Came from Los Angeles. I always wanted to come to Buc-ee's but never really traveled outside California. This Denton Buc-ee's has 122 gas pumps. Inside the store sells various products and they have a lot of their own label. From Texas, majority of the products I brought back for souvenirs are from Buc-ee's. There really isn't much souvenir stores in Texas. I can find everything back home. For the food, I ate their brisket sandwich, sides of brisket, and breakfast brisket burrito. Brisket is okay here, flavor isn't here. I tried their Buc-ee branded ice cream sandwich, it was super delicious! I bought pins, t-shirt, plushie, carolina reaper hot sauce, tons of jerky, chocolate, and much more! I probably spent $300-$400 here. And the bathroom is massive and very clean! Definitely coming back to Buc-ee's. read more

This location has a beautiful pond to walk around and we enjoyed the outdoors playing fetch with our dog and eating our chopped brisket sandwiches. Inside was a mad house like always but the bathrooms were clean and checking out easy. It was truly so clean and fun to visit as a visitor. Bought beef jerky and candies and souvenirs, as well as the fudge (which they have samples of). Truly a Mecca of clean bathrooms; parking was plentiful and people were nice. If you're on a road trip or have never been to a Buc-ees, this was a good location to stop at! read more

This was quite a fully stocked store with hundreds of pumps. If you don't know, you're allowed to park at the pump and then go in and do your shopping and come out and finish pumping gas. You can also buy gas and complete it with a car wash, so watch that upsell at the pump. The store itself has a million buccee snacks, normal snacks, drinks, food, and basically department level clothes and items. We got a few of the food items to try and we do think we got a bit sick from it, we got the brisket taco, croissant sandwich, beast burrito, and tots. We couldn't finish this between two of us and probably didn't need the beast burrito. We didn't feel good for a few days after a maybe it's just got a lot of fat that takes a while for the body to process if you're not used to this type food. Otherwise there could be some improvement for the way they rung up a large order, it's hard to put all the items on the counter and make sure things are only getting scanned once in an organized manner, since they scan everything and then bag it so they could easily scan things twice by accident. read more

I love love love love Buc-ee's, but not this location. When I visit, I go straight for their gummies, brisket, and jerky. I like being able to order the brisket at the counter, that way I can get a variety, versus buying them by the pack. Their beef jerky looked old and dried out, the Fort Worth location wouldn't dare present that to the public. One thing for sure, you can always count on their brisket to hit the spot. I don't know if this is new or if just at this location, but they charge for the condiments. That's odd, are they hurting for money? I like pickles, onions, and extra BBQ sauce. I was surprised to pay for something, that is considered a normal side. This particular store seemed really busy, and all over the place. I was left a bit, discombobulated. Of course, they're always busy; but this was a different kind of busy. I think, I'll stick to my favorite in Fort Worth. read more

I received the worst customer service from a Tamara, assistant general manager today at Buc-ee's in Denton. I accidentally pushed button at gas station, charged me 13.99 for car wash I did not need. Tamara refused to give me a refund, directed me to complain online. Also refused to give me her managers name. Told me to come back another day. I love coming to Buc-ee's. CHICKEN WRAP BROKE MY TOOTH! I have always had good experiences with Buccees, but the last time I stopped, I went and grabbed a chicken wrap. Something from the cold section, because I wasn't feeling BBQ and I was in between Austin and Dallas. I get in my truck and I start my travel and unwrap my wrap when I take a bite. It's pretty good. I take another bite. Still pretty good, a little dry, probably won't get again, but I'm hungry. I take a third bite and BAM I bite into something super hard, I don't know if it was bone, gristle, or something different in the wrap, but it hurt the side of my mouth. I was instantly grossed out and set the wrap down to keep my eyes on the road. On the top left side of my mouth ift felt like I may have gotten some cabbage or some of the chicken stuck in my teeth, so I start to fish it out with my tongue, that's when I realize the and ENTIRE QUARTER OF MY TOOTH IS NOW MISSING! I'm shocked, but I keep driving, and suddenly I'm missing a chunk of my tooth. The mystery hard chunk in my wrap broke my tooth and since it broke so deep, I may have to get a whole root canal. I DO NOT trust the $5 wrap, because it might just end up costing you $5000 read more

Stopped at Buc-ee's for some grub, and I enjoy seeing their selections of food. We got their chopped sandwich, which was really yummy. Large pieces of chopped meat, smothered in bbq sauce. Definitely one to try. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty good. It was just on the dry side, since there wasn't any sauce, but you can grab some bbq sauce in the condiments section and pour some on. We ended it with a cup of banana pudding, which was ok just the pudding itself, so it's best to dig in towards the bottom where all the bananas and wafers are. Overall, a pretty good meal. read more

A Buc-ee's trip never fails. This one is a smaller location in my opinion than the other ones in the DFW area. The bathrooms were clean, and the brisket was stocked. I got a few snacks and coffee to take on the road. The dark roast was pretty bit, so I'm not sure what was going on there. No complaints but a solid Buc-ees. read more
