I can't get enough of this place and the food is top-notch! So much flavor for your palette! It tantalizes every taste, bud in your mouth. I have ordered a bunch of different things on their menu and everything is five stars! Their Barbacoa is my favorite thing so far. I had a great bowl of menudo and an awesome breakfast at Bubu's. It is tiny and unassuming but mighty in taste and amazing in service. I was made to feel very welcomed, like I was eating at a family member's house. The menudo was savory, spicy, and heavy on the triple. With the handmade tortillas and the Cafe de Olla, it was an amazing morning. I came back again and tried the breakfast burrito and that was amazing as well. Highly recommend Bubu's! It's not always easy finding a Mexican restaurant that can satisfy everyone's breakfast cravings, but BUBUs absolutely delivered. My husband ordered the chilaquiles and couldn't stop raving about them, and I went with the medium bowl of menudo which was the perfect portion and exactly what I was hoping for. Rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. Even our son was happy as he got a simple order of pancakes and completely devoured them! Stopped by on my way to get my car detailed and so glad I did. Having already eaten breakfast, I thought I would have a light taco. The Barbacoa taco was anything but light taco. The homemade taco was incredible. It's loaded with meat and gentle topped with delicious green sauce. After looking at the menu, I tried to convince my stomach to try the avocado toast, but I had to settle on guacamole and chips to go. The restaurant is small, clean, authentic, and the food is delicious! The service is fast, attentive and friendly. It's a small parking lot, but don't miss it. You'll be glad you stopped. We visited this restaurant today, for the first time, because of the high ratings that we saw on Yelp. Location is in a sketchy place to begin with. The inside of the restaurant was clean, but not very well decorated, with a lot of mixing match table and chairs, looks like they brought in whatever they found available. We had the Chilaquiles, the green ones and the red ones. The green ones were OK, lacking flavor, the refried beans were on the cold side, lacking flavor. Definitely not something that I would order again. The red ones were spicier and more flavorful, but again the refried beans were on the cold side, lacking that real flavor of homemade refried beans. Again, not something that we would order again. Overall, I would give the food seven stars at best. Overall, the food was not bad however, based on what we like when it comes to Mexican food and Chilaquiles, I definitely would not return to this location to buy Chilaquiles, Specially at a place that doesn't give you that good vibe when it comes to sitting down and enjoying a good breakfast. Also, the coffee was bad, probably the worst part of our breakfast. I enjoy a good flavorful cup of coffee and this place definitely does not have that. Looks like they just have instant coffee and café De La hoya , which I did not try. The staff was very friendly and I would give them 9 out of 10 stars. In my opinion, there are three things that makes a restaurant successful. First is good service, second is good food, and third is a place that makes you feel comfortable while you eat. Very friendly service from each of the servers and from the owner. they were attentive right away, the food came in great portions and they have a a great variety on their menu, from many Mexican dishes and American dishes, they have great options for breakfast lunch and dinner. My wife and I got the chilaquiles verdes which were phenomenal, just the right amount of spice not too much and my son got the Pancakes, they added plantains and strawberries, then we got what is known as a dirty coffee drink, where it is horchata and iced coffee combined it was so good. It was our first time visiting the area from out of state, and we're so glad to have stumbled across this hidden local gem! Bubu's Restaurant offers authentic Mexican food with above and beyond customer service. On weekends they are open from 8am to 3pm. Please take note that their business hours on yelp is different than their actual hours. We arrived just as they were closing on Saturday around 3pm, but thankfully the owner and staff members were understanding of our late arrival. They were very welcoming and accommodating by letting us place a last minute order in the kitchen. We got the Beef Asada plate that came with generous portions and delicious sauces. We also ordered the highly recommended Breakfast burrito. Everything from the flavor, portions, and even ambiance of the restaurant was a wonderful experience.
