He called the manager and I spoke to him, and he told me that he will issue the refund the following week. The following week, the refund was not issued.. surprise surprise. We tried the combo Indian appetizers which I think would have been tastier right out of the fryer and blotted a bit more (takeout fried food is always a challenge!)
