Spots that focus on Bagels are few and far between around here. I love driving down to OKO to grab bagels for the week and a smoked salmon bagel sandwich while I'm there. I normally get the Rosemary bagel but this time I went with a classic everything bagel. The cream cheese is delicious on it's own, but throw in fresh smoked salmon, red onion and dill - it's unreal! Looking back on my photos, it doesn't seem like there is much filling inside. I can assure you the cream cheese: other ingredient ratio is equal and even! I've never actually been to the store but I have had the bagels and cream cheese delivered twice now. I don't usually love Montreal style bagels but these are quite good. Personally I'd recommend the cinnamon sugar for sweet lovers and rosemary sea salt for those wanting savoury. Their cream cheese options are also great. So far we've tried the roasted red pepper, sun-dried tomato, herbs and garlic, maple, and blueberry. All have been good and paired well with the different bagel flavours. My second delivery order I added a breakfast sandwich and it was good. Nothing too out of the box or outstanding about it but like everything else here, it's good. One thing I will say is I ordered my second order for delivery at around 11 am on a Wednesday. At that point, they'd already sold out of coconut bagels and poppy seed bagels. It was a bit disappointing but they did make a point to call to determine how I wanted to replace those and then sent a card for 10% off my next purchase in-store. read more

People working here are very pleasant to talk to and they will slow the conversation down to inform you about their different bagels! Let me first start by saying I'm a self proclaimed bagel connoisseur and as far as bagels go, OKO bagels are great! Their, Montreal-style, stone oven baked bagels are very good. Their selection of cream cheese spreads, bagel flavours, and menu options are enticing. I have eaten sandwiches there several times and I really enjoyed them. My issue is simply with the price. They are really expensive. A dozen bagels is $19.00. In comparison to many of their competitors, they are virtually double the price. This saddens me, because I love good bagels. OKO Bagels, why did I not know about you earlier?! I did not expect a cute and delicious bagel spot in Oakville! I love the vibe, food and service. The negative is the price although the bagels are made in-house and have a number of variety of bagel selections. The bagels are baked in the stone oven and you can see how they are prepared. My recent visit was my first time at OKO and it was a Saturday morning. I was the only customer but I could tell that there must have been a morning rush since some shelfs were slightly empty. The staff recommended the rosemary sea salt bagel and everything bagel. The trout and avocado fit were the sandwich suggestions. After some recommendations, I decided to go all savory and chose the trout sandwich on the rosemary sea salt bagel and the everything bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese (you gotta try something original to see if it is actually good!). The picks were a sure win, so good and I definitely recommend them. My hubs loved it as well since he's a fan of herb and garlic cream cheese. May I also add that they also make their own flavoured cream cheese and you can buy them for home. Again the price is a bit steep but if you want a treat, definitely give it a try. On another note, they also have coffee and tea available and some yummy baked goods near the cashier. I could not help but pick up the dark chocolate banana bread which was another win!! read more

After noticing that this place had opened while passing by we had to stop in. I hadn't eaten lunch yet so I decided on the sesame bagel double toasted with fig jam and cheddar cheese. Oh my goodness it was amazing! I love that their bagels are not gigantic like some places but they have a wonderful texture and great flavour. They were sold out of quite a few and advise they had already baked more and it sold out again! No doubt as many people came in while we were there. Nice boutique bagel store that makes oven-fired bagels of all varieties from cinnamon sugar to rosemary sea salt. Elegant design with whit marble countertops and dark woods. Good service and most of all decent food. I had the trout bagel on an everything and it was very good. The trout was smoked and well seasoned and accompanied by honey mustard and arugula. First time here. Long time fan of Montreal style bagels in Montreal and up Bathurst Street, Toronto. Bagels at OKO are just so-so. Everyone of my two dozen bagels was irregularly shaped - really thin at the join, normal elsewhere. However the service was spectacularly disastrous. Being COVID compliant, only one customer was allowed in the tiny store at a time. Once in the store, it took nearly 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or came to serve us - though staff did walk past us going to and from the back room. And the price!! Nearly double that of much better Montreal style bagels elsewhere. Sorry. Won't be back. read more

For many years we struggled with the distance crowds at St. Lawerence to get "Montreal" style bagels. The best anywhere we thought. Until we found OKO Bagels. They are superior in taste, texture and appearance. Never too doughy. But it is their customer service leaves the rest behind. I made a special order one day. When I came to pick them up there had been a mixup. Theses things happen. I was prepared to just take something else instead. But then the unexpected happened. They insisted on baking the bagels I'd requested and delivering them (freshly baked!) to my home. Can't say how impressed I was...quality and service? Wow! read more

This is the best bagel place in Oakville. Customer services is a plus especially the owner Juan who treats the customer like family. I tried the trout onion bagel ( which is my favorite) , salmon ( very fresh) and the Montreal smoked beef( first time and I would come back for this one) . Finally tried them today and must say I was disappointed. First of all $5.10 for a plain bagel and garlic cream cheese. What?? My bagel was a bit charred on the outside, but it didn't ruin the taste. Typical Montreal bagels and lots of flavours, and I'd love to take a dozen home to the family but not at these prices - I'd rather go to the bagel house in port credit. May be back if I'm really craving a bagel, but if I wanted to spend a relatively absurd amount of money I'd go to harper's or b. good and and least leave full. read more

Honestly, the best bagels I have ever had. I usually get a coconut or cinnamon sugar bagel toasted with butter in the morning with a free coffee! The fact that I do not need cream cheese or peanut butter to add flavor to the bagel says it all! The customer service is absolutely exquisite! They know most of their customers by name and always have smiles on their faces when serving customers! The price of the bagel is based on the quality of the ingredients, the passion and love put into the bagels and the customer service you receive when you walk in the door!! read more
