    Some of the non-bagel selections

I stopped by for breakfast as I was intrigued by their almond cragle. The cragle was a hybrid marriage between a croissant and a bagel. My first bite found the cragle to be soft and flaky. The almond flavor jumped out and was quite delicious with the powdered sugar and almond slices. I even came back my last day in Toronto to take a couple home for the family to try. When I visited there was no line and service was fast and friendly.

Their bagel is soft and chewy, but did not like the spread i ordered. Line is always long but servers are very quick and friendly

Had a great bagel sandwich at St Lawrence Market. St Urbain bagel had a location in the market and sells Montreal style bagels (not sure exactly what that is). Was pretty excited about their upgrade bagels/buns . Got a Lox with jalapeño cream cheese on a challah bun. The challah was soft and delicious and the jalapeño cream cheese with a great kick. Friendly staff and service . The market is bustling with activity and energy .#bagels #sandwiches

Tried the stuffed spinach and feta bagel at St Urbain Bagel bakery in St. Lawrence Market. It was fine -- warm, a bit chewy, and had a decent amount of filling, though the feta could've been more flavorful. The market was packed and seating was tricky, but the market vibe made it worth a quick stop. Nothing mind-blowing, just okay.

As I was exploring the different vendors inside the St Lawrence Market, I ran across this bagel shop and couldn't resist trying their pumpernickel bagel with the lox spread. Man it was even better than the bagels I got from New Jersey. I was upset I hadn't gotten more. The lox spread was creamy and flavorful. Service was fairly quick, you select your bagels, spreads and veggies if requested. They also have a criagel which is a cross of a bagel and croissant. Definitely worth a visit

Lox & everything bagel (C$10) very good

Another place in St Lawrence Market that was highly recommended is St Urbain for their Montreal style bagels. Like Anthony Bourdain said, you can't compare NY style and Montreal style bagels. They are like comparing apples to oranges. I had an everything bagel w/ lox. You can choose your toppings, but I chose the traditional plain cream cheese, tomatoes, red onion and capers. The combo was very good. The bagel had a nice chew, but was slightly sweet bc of the boiling in honey water. The only downsides were I was expecting more lox, and the top of the bagel to be completely covered w/ "everything". There was a long line and it took a while to fill the order based on the number of workers. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly & warm. I would definitely return to try other bagel combinations. Montreal bagels are very good, and a nice contrast to what we eat in the US.

    Egg salad on onion bagel

Montreal bagels or New York bagels?? I really am not sure now! I've never had a montreal style bagel before this day, and I will say I am genuinely so impressed. To be honest, I didn't expect much from it since even most of the NY bagels I've tried have been quite underwhelming. So, when I heard that these were supposed to be denser but sweeter versions of those I wasn't too overly excited. However, I am so happy to say that my expectations were far exceeded. Located inside St. Lawrence market, there was already a line of people outside the section either ordering or waiting to pick up their bagels. I decided to get the egg salad + veggies on an onion bagel. I really appreciated how they let you add veggies since most spots don't do that! The bagel came out relatively quickly and was packed with delicious egg salad and the variety of veggies. The standout was definitely the bagel itself though; the texture was perfect! Chewy in the middle with a hint of sweetness that made it so delicious. The onion bits on the outside were also delicious and overall it made for such a good sandwich. I am already missing this bagel so much. Being from the US I now need to find a spot that makes something similar!

The craigle was even better than I thought it would be! They load it up if you order a sandwich! Service was spectacular! The stand was very clean! Would go back again!

I came in early Saturday around 9 and there was a line. The wait was 5-10 minutes and most people got a bag of bagel to go. I had the original Montreal bagel and wanted to try if there was any difference - there is. I got the lox sandwich with everything on it, and it was a great sandwich. The bagel was very dense and filling with lots of flavors. I was disappointed the bagel wasn't baked in a brick oven and it does make slight flavor difference. There are either seats or table near by for people to enjoy their goodies at the market. The service was fast and efficient.

There is a large network of below-ground corridors and shops accessible from the business complex at 120 W Adelaide. Take the escalator down and follow the signs towards the food court. Bagel & Co shares a large, bright, clean, albeit slightly noisy food court with several other food counters. The bagels are decent, considering they are clearly not baked on site, and they have a much smaller selection than I would expect from a proper bagel shop: I saw plain, sesame, rye, and cheese. I also saw some bags of either poppyseed or everything bagels, but it wasn't clear if those were available for sandwiches or only to be bought by the half-dozen in the bags. I had the All Canadian, which is tuna and bacon with chive spread. It also comes with shredded lettuce and with red onion; I had avoided the smoked salmon bagel (the New Yorker) because I was going to a meeting after and didn't want to smell like onions, so it was a bit frustrating to have passed over the likely better sandwich and still get onion breath. lol. The All Canadian was underwhelming: very average to slightly dry tuna salad, and I had to open it up to confirm it contained a minuscule amount of bacon. If you're looking for an average tuna & onion sandwich, the All Canadian here is a fair option. Again, bagel quality was better than I would expect for a restaurant selling bagels that were clearly baked off site earlier today or yesterday. Choice of both bagels and schmears was limited. It's challenging to find for a newcomer but probably very easy for a local.

It's got that perfect productive energy if you can snag a seat. It isn't necessarily "plush-cozy," but it feels lived-in and welcoming in the best way possible. Let's talk about the menu: * The Cookies: 1000/10. Easily one of the best in the city. I tell myself I'll try the food next time, but I always end up walking out with a cookie instead. * The Coffee: A bit of a mixed bag. My first Iced Americano was a miss (espresso tasted over-extracted/burnt), but don't let that deter you. I went back and a different barista made me a Flat White that was flawless. * The Food: Haven't tucked into the actual meals yet, but they look promising. My fav thing to order is the all dressed bagel with the spinach light cream cheese. The old owners used to be more generous with the cream cheese...it would ooze out when you tried to eat it. The new owners are more stingy with the cream cheese and the bagels arent fully toasted. I got one today and it looks that i need to ask for double toasted next time. Their coffee is ok, they provide brown sugar which is a bonus. I generally go to the second cup next door because the coffe is stronger, but albeit more expensive. They also have a loyalty card but I never bothered with that since I don't go there that often. If you have a craving for bagel with cream cheese, this is the place to go.
