Corned beef on a toasted corn bagel
    Mary T.

I love bagels. I am a fan of Montreal-style ones. When I am either in Montreal or Ottawa, I buy dozens and bring them home. I freeze them. So good! If I manage to find a job in either one of those cities, I'd be in heaven, simply because bagels would keep me content. I have driven by Bagel Nash on my way home from work. I decided to stop by there for a light dinner bite. There is plenty of parking space here. I went in and there were a few people. To get a bagel sandwich, you choose the bagel or speciality baked good (for example, a croissant) from the front, put it in a white paper bag, and bring it up to the front. You then select what filling and toppings that you want. I went with a corn bagel with corned beef. The bagel isn't exactly Montreal-style -- a little bigger. However, I liked it. I have never had corn. The place also has sun-dried tomatoes, which I'd love to try. The sandwich itself wasn't spectacular. It was skimpy on the corned beef. The dill-mustard mayo was divine, though. I love anything with dill. I also ordered these thin cinnamon pretzels. The cinnamon was generous, but there was no sugar. It needed some sweetness to it. The pretzel was soft and chewy. If come back here to get corn bagels. The best bagels are still out east. (88)

The grilled cheese bagel sandwich (Nash Grilled Cheese) was so good!!! I have never had a bagel sandwich like this where there was no hole in the bagel -- which is what a traditional Jerusalem bagel must be. Instead, it was a flat bagel and within the gooey melted cheese, there were olives, onions, and mushrooms. It was such a great combination! The tomato and cucumber salad (Nash House Salad) that came with the sandwich was so refreshing and was light thanks to the lemon vinaigrette! Falafel Pita on a Plate: The falafels were crispy on the outside but its insides were slightly seasoned with a little heat, but really tasty. I ate the items on the plate individually at first to try out the falafels and then later used the pita to wrap up the items to try it out that way. It was really tasty. I especially liked the hummus which had a little bit of spicy oil on top of it. The hummus was really flavourful and tasty!

It's a small spot but does have a decent amount of seating. Very casual in style, where you order and pay at the counter before seating yourself, and food is not served to the table so they call out your order for pick up. Menu is easy to follow: you pick a vessel and a protein, as well as your choice of toppings and sauces. You can also choose sides and drinks as well. They also have daily deals. My go-to is the HOLY SHRIMP as a SALAD bowl. I top it with cheese, caramelized onions, crispy onions, cucumber, southeast salsa, and sweet pickled cabbage. Their avocado cream is a must-have sauce and this time, I requested a little bit of their roasted peanut sauce as well. The shrimp will definitely have you saying "HOLY!" because they're so crunchy and flavorful. Not to mention, a really good size! One serving is about 5-6 large pieces of shrimp. The K.F.C. was the first protein I tried and is my second go-to choice. Service is always friendly and in general, the entire process is just so easy and convenient. I've also never had to wait long for my food, which I appreciate!

You can't go wrong with this location or any of their other locations. I've been going to their York Mills location and it is just as good if not better. This is the place or franchise that has a go to veal sandwich And I recommend any of you to try it. It won't disappoint Side note: their steak and onion sandwich is just as good and is a must try as well.

All female crew, let's hear it for the ladies Sandwich sizes either regular or mini with extra toppings (roppini, mushrooms, peppers, cheese, etc) at an extra cost. Deluxe version includes lettuce, tomato and mayo. Maybe it's me but it seems many sandwich shops are now charging extra for normally what was included lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc; baahh Ordered the regular steak & onions. Steak was thinly sliced in a tomato base sauce, more like a sliced beef sandwich instead of steak. Nice beefy flavor profile and the onions were firm. Gotta try their other sandwiches (meatballs, veal. chicken, eggplant) on my next visit to the neighborhood.

Opened in Feb 2025, the sandwich shop is set to expand opening a second location near Dundas and Ossington sometime this year. They are open daily from 11am to 5pm where you can pre-order off Ambassador for pick up or opt for delivery with Ubereats. When Ariete E Toro first opened last year, I recall seeing the long lines as it became super popular. Fast forward to a year later, I finally tried Ariete E Toro recently. The storefront is on a side street off of Yonge St. where it is take out only. They do have a bench near the window/entrance of the store but usually it's utilized by people waiting for their sandwiches. In the summer though, they have a small patio in front of the shop with some tables and chairs. Menu wise, Ariete E Toro has a variety of sandwiches with ingredients that work well together. You are also able to build your own sandwich if you'd like. They also have beverages like soda and water as well. The store boasts that all their ingredients are high quality. An average price of a sandwich is around $17. I decided to pre-order 2 sandwiches for pick up. These are the two sandwiches I got: - Enzo (mortadella di bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachio, lemon and basil oil). - Rogo Rogo (prosciutto cotto, 'nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, and brown butter vinaigrette) Entering the store to pick up my order, staff were amidst completing my sandwiches. There was already a regular there chatting with staff. Service was quick. My sandwiches were packed and I had half of each at home. The size of the sandwich was pretty big! I could only finish 3/4th of the sandwich. Both the Enzo and the Rogo Rogo were tasty but the Enzo stole the show. The moist bread with the mortadella where the pistachio pesto and hint of stracciatella cheese along with a slight crunch from the chopped pistachio made for a perfect sandwich (I do prefer the bread a bit harder and crunchier though but the texture of this one was still good). I was sharing the sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich. I would have given a higher rating on Yelp but finding someone else's hair in your food is off-putting. I do hope that if I return next time (either to this location or to their new location near Ossington/Dundas) that we won't find any surprises in our food. Overall, delicious sandwiches in Midtown Toronto, however, we did find a piece of hair in our sandwiches which.... kind of makes me hesitant to return. **Update** - I wrote a review on Google where the owner personally asked me to email them to rectify the situation with the piece of hair found in my sandwich. The owner apologized and stated that he was actually the one who personally made my sandwich that day (sliced the deli meat, etc.). He also made sure that he would speak with the bread manufacturer to make sure that they were aware of the situation as it may have come from the bread as well. He also gave me a refund for one sandwich as well as a $25 credit for if I wanted to give the sandwich spot another chance (the sandwich is too good to not go back!). That is what I call great customer service - making sure that an apology was given and that customers are happy. Would happily return again for their tasty sandwiches!!

Food: I got the Enzo - I'm a big fan of mortadella and pistachio pesto, and it's one of their OGs. I wasn't as big a fan of the sotto bosco, but overall the quality and portion sizes are solid. Presentation: Each sandwich comes in a snazzy box perfect for keeping the sandwich intact Space: Clean shop, more of a take out spot, with just one bench by the windows for seating Service: Quick and efficient - no line when I went right at opening on a Sunday. I came here hoping to satisfy my craving for a proper Italian mortadella sandwich after Eataly left me underwhelmed. Thankfully, this one hit the spot.
