    a menu for a bakery

I was in same plaza to shop at Organic Garage, and this place caught my attention, so decided to try it. From outside it is very inviting and made me curious. When you think about a local bakery and eatery, you imagine very cozy and delicious smelling cafe, where you can sit inside for hours. It was a cold day with flurries and I decided to go inside and absorb in all that amazing baked goodness feeling and aroma. However when I went in, I was disappointed. It was nothing like I imagined. There were no aromas of coffee or baked goods inside. It felt cold and I couldn't connect with this place, I just wanted to leave. However since I was inside, to be polite I purchased 6 bagels. They have pack of 6 bagels for $5.25. They do have coffee, however I didn't feel like having one, as the inside didn't tempted me. Bagels were okay, nothing extraordinary. Just like the ones you will get at any grocery store at half the price. They do have a sitting area, which is open I think 8-4, maybe that might be better option, however I am not impressed, they have a great brand name and from outside it looks amazing, however it didn't live up to name. They have so much potential to be an amazing place, however not up to the mark yet.

I'm just gonna start this off and say that the service here is unbelievable, it was awful. We walked in together (my husband and I, because we go everywhere together) and wait a while to get seated. We noticed that there were two tables free for us to sit down, but no server came by. Moments way later we got a server who didn't even greet us, looked like she hated her job, took us to one of those empty tables, and threw the menus at the table while her back was facing us and didn't even ask us what we wanted to drink. Guys listen to this next part your gonna love it, we waited 30 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink, and we waited for our drinks to come. We ordered drinks with our food which should never happen because drinks usually come first then the food order. We both ordered salmon, cream cheese everything bagels with home fries. It took them over 20 minutes for them to serve that to us because we only ordered after 30 minutes of waiting. The people next to us arrived after we came and they got more complicated orders and their food came before ours. When we asked our server where our food was she said "I don't control the kitchen." She didn't even say let me find out for you. Lastly I had to walk up to the server to get us our bill because I know that would've took a long time too. I only rated two stars only because of the service. Food was good but great service makes the hole experience better in my opinion. I'll only come back if a change is done or only if a manager or owner will contact me because honestly this service was ridiculous.

It is not the Bagel that What A Bagel has that impressed me. Surprising it is the Salad.... Salad?? What's up? Have I been hanging around my Hot Yoga Date too much and turning into a Vegetarian?? Great selections at the salad bar with a salad going for $10.49. Sounded a little pricey...but when I saw my salad busting out from the container... I know I can just not finish that on my own. Great for Sharing!! The sweet and pastries selection is quite good too... love those mini danish for 3 for $1. Of course the toasted bagel with cream cheese... heavenly! No wonder there is always a long line up during lunch hours!

My in-laws live in Thornhill, so we make frequent trips to visit. On our recent visit in July, we had brunch at What A Bagel Thornhill and REALLY liked it! The weather was scorchingly hot that weekend, so the place was packed with people trying to escape the heat. Which meant those lovely servers were working extra hard to keep up. But you never would have guessed anything was up with our server -- he was cool and collected and offered superior service! We tried the Shakshuka and LOVED it so much I'm going to try to recreate it at home. We also got the Smoked Salmon and Avocado Toast and upgraded to a flat bagel, which we really enjoyed. And a Jerusalem Toast with Egg (not pictured). The entire experience was just lovely -- great food, in a fun environment, with fantastic service, and all at a fair price. What's not to love??? We'll be back!

What a bad is great! Not sure why I haven't co e here before. You get to pick your own bagel off the rack and the. Bring it to the cashier. Bagels are so warm and fresh right off the rack. You have the option of getting it toasted as well. Once the bagel had been brought, someone will cut it for you, and add the toppings of your choice.

A great place for breakfast or lunch. A Jewish take on a deli breakfast. (No bacon or ham here but with so many other good choices you don't miss it.) Super fresh salads with a long list of ingredient choices. Their sandwiches are delicious. If you're looking to indulge the Avocado Grilled Cheese is heaven. It comes with fried eggs, tomato, avo and cheese on challah bread. It literally melts in your mouth. Shakshuka is one of my staples here. Eggs poached in a tomato stew/sauce topped with goat cheese and served with pita. Their waffles are delicious, served with mounds of fresh fruit and maple syrup. Noise is a factor here it can be difficult to hear your table mates. Staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to make your visit pleasant.

Great place for a local eatery. Service is hit or miss but the food is always good. Breakfast and salads tend to be very popular. I personally enjoy the different types of Jerusalem toasts.

They give a pretty large portion I feel everything is shareable. I do not like turkey bacon at all. I don't know why they did to this turkey bacon or if it was because we were in Canada. I can't stop thinking about it or the blueberry pancakes. When we come back to Toronto we will definitely stop back by. Good service, a nice family environment, and good food is hard to come by. The venue was very beautiful with manicured lawns, a castle-like building, and a sufficiently large banquet hall for guests and a live band. The hors d'eouvres included spring rolls, phyllo triangles filled with cheese, and coconut shrimp. Since we were here on Star Wars day (May 4th), there were even green Yoda drinks with eyes and lime slices for ears. They definitely played up this theme all day and it was a really nice touch. What was noticeable throughout the evening was how good the food was. Everyone at the table said it was better than previous years at a different golf course. The antipasto, which is usually my least favorite dish, was really good. The beef entree was amazing. It was cooked perfectly medium on the inside with the same color pink throughout. The staff were courteous and accommodating. One person at our table asked for the personal caesar salad without bacon since the shared salad had bacon and we pretty much received another shared salad. Towards the end of the evening, the staff were clearing off tables while the banquet was winding down. But they were a little too quick to clear the tables that they took away someone's photo booth photos before those people came back to the table to claim their photos. Overall it was a really nice evening was excellent food at a stellar venue.
