    Salmon lox

I had to try their special halloween themed bagels. Its just a purple and orange dyed bagel and i got it in a salmon lox. They use fresh veggies and a lot of cream cheese though the bagel is mediocre.

What a Bagel bagels don't disappoint. I paid $7 for this sandwich. Avocado was a $1.99 add on and the person helping put a very generous amount (1/2 an avocado). I asked for no tomato or onion. This location does not have any seating at the moment. I don't know if all locations have changed, but I don't ever remember them having such a large selection of beautiful pastries. This is a great place to pick up dessert on your way to a dinner party or bagels and the fixings for brunch.

    So fresh!!

I honestly sometimes don't get the reason behind poor ratings.I came here for the first time and absolutely loved everything about this place. The freshness and the taste, the service and the quality and the pricing not to forget-everything was just right! Anytime I decide on going to a bagel place my order is always the same, I absolutely love love the lox bagel. So the easy concept here is you pick your bagel or bagels and stand in the line for toppings. The selection for bagels is pretty wide. The toppings include every vegetable you could think of that could possibly go on a bagel.Just on the side is a selection of all the shmears they offer.Lots to choose from.I made mine with lettuce, tommies, cucumber, onions and capers along with the lox and cream cheese. The bagel had just popped out of the oven so was super fresh didn't need any toasting either. The ladies working behind the counter were fast and friendly. What caught my attention the most was their pricing the lox bagel was 6.99 which I thought was a great price, NU bagel charges close to $12 for the same bagel. For bagel lovers this place has NY bagels unlike the Montreal bagels. These bagels a fatter and not that sweet.Though I love Montreal style ones I also enjoy NY bagels. This locations had so many sweet pastries and morning goodies to offer as well.Next time I may try some of those too. The only downside here was there wasn't any sitting option available.Lots of parking available since it's in a plaza.

    Apple Strudel

Although they are known for their bagels here, the pastries are certainly worth a try as well! Of the ones I've tried my favourite has to be the apple strudel, it's flakey on the outside and soft on the inside. As I'm writing this I want another one now, but they are closed. Splendid.

Lox and Cream Cheese on Bagel

Came here to try their awesome lox & cream cheese on a bagel. It is soooooooo good!!! As soon as you come into the store, the aroma of bagels hits you in the face and boy does it smell fresh! The lox & cream cheese on a bagel tasted absolutely deliciously fresh and the cream cheese is wonderful. The smoke salmon is really yummy. The wait time about 10 minutes and this place can get quite busy during lunch hour. Brought home my order and my wife is dying to try! The price is reasonable and good portions. Vegetarian lovers, this place has tonnes of vegetarian options on the menu.

Free dozen bagels on my birthday!

I recently ate my entire stash of bagels from both trips. The good news is that Kettleman's is coming to Etobicoke this fall. I still needed bagels, though. I headed to my local grocery store recently to get some. They weren't and aren't the same. On Saturday, I visited St. Urbain bakery and cafe, which makes a variety of Montreal-style bagels. I was in heaven looking at roughly a dozen different bagel flavours at the back of the store. A older woman asked what I'd like. She didn't come across as being warm. I asked for six sesame and six cheddar bagels. She said that it was $0.25 more for each cheddar bagel. I was good with that, although she didn't wait for me to acknowledge that I was good with it. I got all bagels in a paper bag. Yay! I thanked her. I was so happy. I felt like I had won the lottery, except that I had to pay for my goods. This bakery offers cakes, cookies, flatbreads, and more. I decided to simply get my bagels before I cleaned my entire chequing account out at this store. The woman at the counter was much more personable. She put my goodies in a plastic bag and threw in a couple of bagel bags. I used my debit card to pay. Credit cards aren't accepted. You can pay with cash, too. I have had both bagel varieties since my visit. They are soft and chewy where they should be. The cheddar is brilliant and yummy. I've never had a cheddar one before until now. It's worth shelling out a bit to have one. There is something about crispy, oven-melted cheddar that tastes delicious. I made myself an egg salad sandwich today. Some like celery in it. I do, but changed it up with green onion. It's so good with the sesame bagel. This bakery is in a plaza with parking all around it. There's a huge Starbucks cafe a couple of doors down, so it does get busy. I parked on the opposite side of where this bakery is and walked over. I'm glad that I can get my fix without doing a huge road trip out east. I am thrilled that I have found this bagel place. I am a happy Montreal-style bagel fan. (374)

We came here at around 1 o'clock on a Saturday and there was a short lineup with the queue to order moving pretty swiftly. They had a small insulated canteen with cups where you can get water. The actual weight for the bagel sandwiches took a long time. We luckily got a spot on the patio and waited for our bagels there. The girl shouts out the orders name inside and if no one's in there, she goes out to the patio to bring it out. It was a really good bagel. I got the bodega and added bacon and it was nice and salty with some cheese and some sauce and on the weekends they have their za'atar bagels so I got it on that and it was delicious. I would come back again if it weren't so far from me.

I ended up with the Bodega bagel which had a variety of fillings that had the perfect mixture of creaminess and savory. The sauce in it was sooo delicious. My friend got the egg and cheese breakfast bagel and decided to add bacon to it, and it's perfect if you want something simple but filling! The place was poppin on a Sunday morning on top of the workers needing to make more bagels and cook the fillings so we waited about 35 minutes for our order. There were a handful of coffee shops nearby, so we decided to walk around and grab a cup of coffee while we waited. There were only bar seats that had about 6 chairs in total, so be prepared to snag a seat when you can to eat your bagel right away.

There was a sign that said it has been serving for 40 years. This was nearby so we went in as hubby was hungry. He ordered the fish & chips. I had just a small order of fries to snack on. The food was okay. It was like eating at a diner. Nothing upset my stomach at least, so this place passed that test. LOL. The fries were pretty ordinary. They were the kind of fries you get at a diner that were bulk bought & frozen. They weren't even warm when I got them. But they were unsalted which I liked because I could salt to my taste. Hubby's fish was a huge piece & he had fries also. He said it was ok. Our waitress was an elderly lady. She was nice pleasant & patient with us when hubby took his time deciding what to get. The service was very relaxed. There weren't too many customers in the eating area. The space is larger than it first appears because the bakery at the front creates a bottleneck. After our meal we paid & I went to use the bathrooms which are downstairs. The ladies bathroom is really dated too. But I will say everything was very clean. We got some rogalach & sugar free cookies from the bakery. We tried the sugar free cookies & they were dry as heck & flavourless. The rogalach was okay but pricey. This place wouldn't be my choice to eat at again, but at least their food was decent & the service was nice.

Location: Bayview North of Steele's in the Longos plaza Parking; There's a lot of free parking. It's pretty busy because the longos and it's near a Ramona's kitchen. But there's always parking. The place,: It's tiny when you first walk in you go to the spot where all the bagels are and you pick them using tongs into a bag is pretty tight in that area and you go around to where they bring out the bagels and then around where they're sweet treats and a counter. At this counter if you grab a bagel you can give it to them and get a sandwich made out of it my favorite is a toasted chicken salad no vegetables. You pay extra for vegetables and I'm too cheap to pay like a dollar for some cucumber. They have all different kinds of bagels the most popular is the rainbow bagel because more often than not it is low or not there. But don't fret because they're constantly making bagels all day and chances are there's something that's still warm to the touch because they've just brought it out! You also have some cooked food such as falafel and other things I've never ordered it but I know people that haven't said that they really like it. I am sticking to my chicken salad bagel. I think the chicken salad is delicious. I do notice that a lot of people get the egg salad and my friend swears by the smoke salmon and cream cheese. It is seriously tiny so the seating situation is zero but people don't realize, or some people don't realize, that that's actually a little mall and if you exit the store on the side you come upon a seating area where there's about 20 seats.. I've never not had a seat. I would like a lot? Yes of course I've been back many times this is one of my favorite bagel places. And let me say it again because I don't think the million other times I said it was enough, I love their chicken salad sandwiches.
