I'm posting a picture of what was left of two ginormous meals. The brisket was the best barbecue I've ever had. Period. We also sampled ribs, "Sloppy Bubba" (brisket and pork barbecue mix), Mac n cheese, fries, potato salad, pecan pie and blueberry ice cream - all homemade including the ice cream. Ehhh...'sokay...nothing to write home about for any stretch of the imagination. Stopped off for a quick bite to eat with a friend I was visiting (a local). Interior ambiance is about on par for an average Western barbecue joint - rustic, lots of wood furnishings and lots of -ahem- "Western"-looking folks. At any rate... Not a lot of mask-wearing folks (even when not dining or drinking) in the restaurant (but also not a whole lot of face masks in Wyoming as a whole). Seating was sorta-kinda arranged to support social distancing (tables were approximately 6 feet apart but I doubt the proprietors measured for accuracy) - was a little apprehensive, but then the wait staff was all masked up and utensils were packaged in individual bundled paper packages, so felt a bit more at ease upon witnessing these more responsible steps toward safeguarding against COVID. Ordered a lunch plate - brisket - which came with two sides - so I selected baked beans and fries. Brisket was pretty tasty - flavorful and moist, however, the fries were cold and the beans were average - pretty much on par with a can of Bush's baked beans. Came with a side piece of Texas toast. Portion was on the smaller side which surprised me as I thought they ate pretty hardy in Wyoming....Was a bit on the paltry side for $18. Wait staff was relatively responsive and drinks were refilled regularly. Probably would want to sample a variety of Jackson's culinary institutions before opting to return to Bubba's (if at all) upon a return a visit to the charming little village. read more

The employees here are great the food is good. All of the food was yummy but the turkey was a tad dry (happens sometimes with smoking) our waiter was amazing. He was on top of all our needs before asking. read more

I tried the beef brisket and ribs for lunch and they were delicious. The barbecue sauce here is sweet and tangy, just how I like it. For the sides, I particularly like barbecue beans and onion rings, although the mac-n-cheese and coleslaw aren't bad either. Texas toast (thick white bread toast with butter) comes with every order. Takeout is available and I must say that Bubba's Barbecue is one of those places where the takeout is just as good as dine-in! read more

Wow, this was a great start to the day! Stopped by with two friends for breakfast on our way to Yellowstone and I am so glad we did! This restaurant takes dining to the next level with QR code menus, Yelp waitlist and waiters/waitresses that remember orders without writing anything down. These added to the experience of devouring a savory chicken fried steak with a Bubbas homemade giant biscuit the size of my whole hand, which is big. My friends ordered something that's not on the menu, called the "Worker's Special"...ask your server if interested. We had a great breakfast. My denver omelet arrived nice and hot and huge! The hash brown potatoes were good too. My husband got steak and eggs and the steak was top quality, flavorful and tender. I've been coming here for years but finally decided to post a review. Service is fast, place is clean, food portions are generous and very good and reasonably priced, especially for Jackson. I love the ribs and fries. The coleslaw is a little too heavily dressed for my taste, but if you like that then you'll love their coleslaw. Their sauteed zucchini is very good. I really wanted this place to be better. The brisket was so fatty I spit several mouthfuls into my napkin. The sausage tasted more like a grilled hot dog. The mac & cheese tasted processed and it was cold. Both my husband and I only took couple of bites and were so disappointed. However! It was goooood. This place had been around for a long time, at least 20 years I think. We were a family of 5; there was a bit of a wait. We all enjoyed the BBQ. I loved my sides - fried okra and mac/cheese. The garlic bread was very good too. The waitress was very good. I ordered the ribs / chicken combo. They give you a big piece of chicken with the combo (breast / wing). It was delicious but too much food for me. It's a nice stop in Jackson. Presumably it's still a local tradition to come here, though Jackson has changed very much over the years. read more

Bubba's bbq meats were delicious and the sauces are great. I can't recommend the sides I had. Avoid the Mac and cheese or greens. To be fair, I haven't eaten all their sides and these just didn't meet my approval. The server was friendly and the food came out very quickly. read more

We enjoyed our food here. The only thing I wish had been different was if their website was updated. The prices had increased and some menu items had been removed. I was really looking forward to salmon but had to decide on something different once I got there. The fried pickles were the best I've ever had. Both the brisket and bbq chicken were really good. The sloppy bubbas was good but no where near as tasty as the chicken and brisket. All of us loved the sauce that came with the fried pickles and started putting it on other things too. Awesome breakfast :-) Enjoyed pancake and egg breakfast. Service is very good. Coffee is weak but hot. The temperature was a little warm so had to remove jacket (is in 40s outside). All staff is wearing masks and social distancing is being followed. read more

This place is bomb! We came here at a good time as well, because there were hardly any people. They've got great pulled pork, briskets, super tasty sides and kicking French fries. The day we went seemed to be a cookie day. So the staff was passing out free cookie the entire time we there. So good haha. But, we had added ourselves to the yelp waitlist and the host had said that she accidentally gave our table to another group who she mistakenly thought was our group. We had to wait a minute longer, but she worked quickly to prepare another table for us. I do think that one of the items that we ordered on the menu was not exactly what we expected. Ask your waiter lots of questions so you understand what you are getting because the menu descriptions are not the best. read more

We stumbled in for breakfast - okay not literally, just based on initially interpreting as a lunch/dinner place - so glad we did! Yelp steered us in the right direction. We had a fantastic breakfast AND met a rockstar! I had the huevos oh-my-gosh-they-were-SO-good rancheros, he had eggs, sausage, and toast. The combination of eggs, black beans, cheese and verde sauce atop the corn tortillas was SO yum. The sausage on his plate was inviting, but dare I steel a bite and lose a limb. Always one to ask a server's name (thus avoiding "hey you, hey lady, um, HEY" if/when in need), I had a lightbulb moment upon hearing "Stacie" in response to my question. She had a Yelp reputation that preceded our arrival and did NOT disappoint! (Insert: little dance for lucking into her table.)
