I visited Bubba's 33 with my coworkers to celebrate a birthday. I wasn't expecting much since all I knew about it was that it was a concept by a restaurant that I don't visit because it is not vegetarian/vegan friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that they had some food my family could eat. I was even more surprised to find out that some things, like the veggie burger, appeared to have been made in house vs using a generic frozen veggie burger. The burger, which I took home to my wife, was made of black beans and quinoa. It was huge and lasted her a couple meals and was reasonably priced. On the side, I ordered some regular fries. I was thrilled that Bubba's 33 has a variety of fries including sweet potato, fire and tots. For my kids, I ordered some garlic knots and a pizza and grilled cheese. Those picky eaters ate all of it (though I think they enjoyed the knots the most). Bubba's 33 was a pleasant surprise for my vegan/vegetarian family and I totally appreciate that. The specials here are great- Monday has burger deals and Tuesday's are pizza deals. These pizzas we had were a steal! Each pizza was $10 for a 12" pizza when both of these normally are $15. And the best part? They were so freaking good!! Everything you like about a pizza was on here. Our waitress, Victoria, was also amazing and super helpful. We spoke with the manager a few times and he seemed very hands on. There was a leak in the irrigation system so the parking lot was a little flooded, but that was the only negative thing we experienced. We stopped in just after the eateries re-opened for Covid, when they could go to 25%. This place had tables marked off, they had tables made into Celebrations for people graduating this year, which I thought was a pretty damn good idea! Most of the folks serving seemed to be wearing masks, but the lady who sat us, wasn't and that was kind of unnerving. Our waitress, though, she was fully masked and gloved. We started our meal with their fried cheese and it was tasty and a fun shape. The meal its self was burgers for both of us. I had a bacon cheese burger and my guy had a double burger with some spicy fries. The food came out quickly, I needed a knife and fork to eat mine, but It was REALLY tasty. Great new place for the Wesley Chapel diners. It's a concept from the Texas roadhouse group, Bubba's 33 is known for its pizza, burgers and beer. They have weekly specials, Monday madness with $7.99 burgers, Tuesday pizza night, 12 inch pizza for $9.99. We had one pizza, the Margherita which was very fresh and tasty and a burger which was juicy and delicious. There are lots of televisions around so it's a good place to kick back and watch a game. They have a large dining room and a separate bar. Definitely a relaxed vibe. They have plenty of parking available in the parking lot as well. read more

This place is very good. Our waitress did start off our afternoon with a very descriptive sales pitch of how amazing they are. Although I did appreciate the theatrics, I'm not sure if they lived up to this pinnacle of a standard. My roommate and I have decided her name to be Alexis but I'm not sure if that's entirely correct... we love her though. We decided on the garlic knots as an appetizer and they did not disappoint with two dipping sauces not one but two! They sure came in handy later for our fries. A large portion even for an appetizer, we were able to take two home with us. For my meal, I ordered the Veggie Burger with the spicy jalapeño cream cheese and it was an incredibly unique presentation but a very tall burger! It definitely was very tasty and huge! I ordered mine w/bacon. It was missing the bacon. Asked for it. As I ate the burger the outer edges were done. The middle was cold, pink, not done. Must have used a frozen patty & not cooked evenly. 5 - Stars Because this is our first visit to Bubba's 33 and it was pretty great. I was wondering what the hostess was doing when she walked us all the way around the restaurant to get to our seats but I guess it was the 50 cent (not to be confused with Fiddy Cent the rapper) tour, not a bad idea. Our server was Steph and I kept asking what her name was and my wife pointed to the napkin, first time I'd ever seen that the server did that so we didn't forget their name. Okay, enough of that. We almost always start with wings and tonight was no exception. We did go against the grain for once and we got Garlic Parmesan and at Steph's suggestion we got the Raspberry Chipotle, an odd combination but TOTALLY worth it. The Garlic-Parmesan was good but the Raspberry-Chipotle was way, waaayyy off the charts awesom-azing!! Kudos to Steph, very attentive and always nearby when we needed something. We never had to ask for a drink refill as she was on task at all times! I definitely recommend the Mushroom Swiss Burger... I've really cut back on my red meat consumption but this was and is a MUST have! If I'd make any suggestion at all, it would be that as they are new in the area, the manager, whose name I don't even know because he didn't come around to see how we were and if we enjoyed our food and service. After hearing about this new place opening up in Florida, I came here on Thursday night with some family. We were seated pretty quickly by the host. This place reminds me of Chili's in the sense that they have a wide variety of food. From pizza to burgers to wings to sandwiches, they have it all. We ordered the shotgun shrimp appetizer, wings with shotgun sauce and raspberry chipotle sauce, spicy habanero burger, and buffalo chicken pizza. The shotgun shrimp was great! It reminded me of the bang bang shrimp from Bonefish Grill. I was pleasantly surprised with the buffalo chicken pizza. The breading/ crust of the pizza was extremely fresh and the pizza had the perfect amount of spice to it. The spicy habanero burger wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. It tasted like your average burger, but with a massive amount of spice added to it. This burger is definitely reserved for people who love spice. As a person who can tolerate moderate spice, I'd say this burger is a tad too spicy for me. The wings we were given were tasty, but we weren't given the correct order and our waitress didn't care enough to correct the mistake. That brings me to the service of the restaurant. The service was pretty questionable. The reason why I think this place is a 3 star restaurant as opposed to a 4/5 star restaurant is the service. I tried to be understanding, considering this is a new restaurant, and the staff is probably still in training, but there were multiple instances that made me raise my eyebrows. The waitress wasn't very personable or genuine. She seemed annoyed every time we had an interaction or conversation with her. Since our food was pretty spicy, we drank a lot of our water, and our waitress was slow at refilling them. There were times when she stopped by our table and didn't refill our empty waters, so we had to ask other servers for water. In addition, the kitchen messed up our order of wings, and upon delivery to our table, the waitress pointed out the mistake, but never offered to bring the correct order. When she placed the wings on our table she said "hm, that doesn't look like the raspberry chipotle sauce you ordered". Instead of bringing out a new order of wings with the correct sauce, she decided to bring out a side of the sauce in a cup. Although I appreciated her allowing us to try the sauce we originally ordered, we didn't actually get to try the sauce on the wings since the wings already had a different sauce on them. In my opinion, there was definitely a better way to handle that situation (ie giving us the wings with the sauce we originally ordered). Since this is the first Bubba's 33 location in Florida, I'd recommend anyone in the area give it a try if you haven't been before! The food is decent, but the service is below average. I don't see myself returning to this location, especially because there are plenty of better restaurants in the surrounding area, but I'm glad I tried it out. read more

Let me start by saying my rating system is based on Chili's, I enjoy Chili's and have (so far) never had a bad experience there with food or service. So here (Bubba33) the service wasn't horrible but we were told 2-3 times by different people that our server had to go to the bathroom and would be gone for a few.... I realize everyone does but I don't need to be reminded that my server is taking a crap before she serves me food. As for the food/drinks I had a house Long Island and it was horrible . Took two sips and then got a beer. Had the fried pickles as an app and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The pickles were horrible, too thin and could only taste the breading, and that tasted like the fryer oil hadn't been changed in awhile so I only ate about 2-3. The same with the chicken sandwich. Both were cooked in old nasty oil. I actually scraped off the breading of the sandwich so I could just eat the chicken. Only reason I gave this place a 2 star vs a 1 Star is because the waitress did a great job and was always checking in (except when she was in the bathroom). read more

This is the new spot in Wesley Chapel. I came with my fiancé and friends. The vibe is good and the music is entertaining. The menu consists of mostly burgers, pizza and fried food. The shotgun shrimp as an appetizer was amazing with the perfect amount of spice. We ordered the spicy jalapeño burger and this was beyond spicy and didn't make it very enjoyable. We also ordered the California chicken. The presentation of this dish was very bland. It was a chicken breast with what looks like a kraft piece of cheese and a clump of pico on top. Thankfully, the chicken was actually pretty tasteful. My suggestion would be to add healthier options to the menu. They also do not have options for people who are gluten free, vegan, paleo, or other types of diets. With those options, this would expand the variety of people who come into this restaurant. This is a good place to come if you are a sports fan and want to eat some pizza, wings or a burger with a beer. Our service could've been better. We had to ask for water refills a couple times. The manager never stopped by the table and the wings we ordered came out with the wrong sauces. Instead of just making us new wings, they took back the 2 wings and gave us 2 new wings. That's it. Came in with some friends on a typical Thursday night. The weather was pleasant. A brisk 78degrees. My cousin, in town from Gainesville, wanted to try this new restaurant she heard so much about. We pulled in and we're greeted by a wonderful hostess and manager. When taken to our seat, a waitress greeted us almost immediately and asked for our drinks. I ordered a water. My fiancé said "Don't go Ham tonight" so I didn't order the pineapple pizza. Because there is ham on that. But I ordered two apps, and the California chicken with broccoli and tater tots. The shotgun shrimp was amazing. The wings were not that great. I order two sauces, shotgun and raspberry Chipotle. None of those sauces were what came on our order. Even the waitress said that didn't look right. We asked to have sides for the sauces and she brought us sauces that didn't match our wings. So we asked for a replacement, yet we only got the wings we gave back, instead of giving us a new order. The pizza was really good. The chicken was really good. The water was really good. The manager never came to our table and I saw him at other tables. There is also no specials on Thursday. Only Monday and Tuesday. They share a Parking lot with Texas roadhouse that has a special every night. So it should have some special to compete. The atmosphere is nice good selection of TVs everywhere with something different on each one. There is pop music playing which is pretty catchy, however I'm sure my mom would not like this place. Also, the bathroom has one door for specifically for female. However there is not one just for men. It's a gender neutral bathroom. I would come back for football games. Good sports bar. I have stopped in at Bubba's a total of 3 times (so far) & each time, it got better and better! My favorite part about going in besides the food is definitely the customer service. The staff is so nice & welcoming. They are also always willing to answer any question I have and make my experience a breeze. Since they just recently opened there are a few kinks that need to be worked out but ultimately it doesn't take away from how great everything else has been. I have had a few menu items. I will start off by saying that the drinks are my absolute favorite. Delicious & sweet with the right amount of liquor! They have amazing prices. I've had the sunshine burger which is juicy, big, and so yummy. I couldn't finish it in one sitting. The seven layer dip is alright, but the chorizo queso dip is much better. We ordered dinner online and picked it up this week, and I'm glad we did. The food was ready when they said, and the portions are large. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are amazing! The buffalo chicken sandwich was good. The buffalo flavor is in the breading. So it's not just a breaded chicken with sauce on it. The buffalo flavor was good and you also taste a little cracked pepper in there too. The chicken was HUGE. It was the only buffalo chicken sandwich I had to eat in two sittings bc it's so big. Also,the GPS directions led me directly to the restaurant. My biggest complaint, but really a nuisance is that the ambient music was turned up too loud and made it very difficult to hold a conversation. Because of this, the ambiance is not relaxing. I ordered deluxe and said I understood thrre would be an associated up charge. Server came back and advised manager said they couldn't do a Deluxe as they had no way to enter it into their system unless they charged me for every additional item and it would cost more than the menu price. Our server 'Sol' was just awesome in terms of constantly coming by to be sure all was on and helping us with getting more info with what's on the menu.
