    Spicy Chicken Sandwich

Got the fire fries and spicy chicken sandwich (habanero). Has a kick to it, not unbearable. Really generous portions for the price. Appetizers are also good shareable pieces. Nothing too fancy or standout, just your average American food spot with a bit of Texan sports bar vibes. The food will definitely feel heavy and make you sleepy after though!

First time here- just a drop in for lunch on a Tuesday. Great clean friendly atmosphere. Our server Iram was attentive and quick. The salmon was so delicious and juicy! Burger was cooked well with crispy edge. (Photo is of burger with no veggies) Cheese sticks were hot and gooey! Definitely a come back spot- good food and atmosphere for a family as well. Plenty of screens for game watching.

This was my first time visiting this establishment. It was excellent. It was just my husband and I this time. The interior was great and the atmosphere was even better. We were greeted and soon as we entered and were seated immediately. The food was so delicious and the drinks were great. We ordered apps and, lunch entrees. They have an excellent happy hour with great drinks. Also They Gave us A TOGO cup with some coupons and great offers. My next visit will be with a larger group.

Came here spur of the moment since I've never tried Bubba's, and I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The best thing about Bubba's is their reverse happy hour specials, which includes a $10 16-inch pizza and $5 6-piece boneless wings. You can choose any of the pizzas (excluding the Dickie V), as well as two different sauce options for the boneless wings (each 3-piece can be one flavor). The made-to-order pizza was actually really good, and they didn't skimp out on the toppings either. My only complaint about the pizza was that the crust was just a little bit on the greasier side. I will definitely be back again for late night eats because the $10 pizza deal is amazing for the quality and size of the pizza.

I usually have pretty low expectations for chain restaurants but I visited Bubba's to redeem a free birthday appetizer and I'm not disappointed I did. The server at the bar was very friendly and service was very prompt. The shotgun shrimp appetizer was really tasty. I was worried it would be too sweet but it wasn't at all. I order the deluxe pizza and took most of it home. Pizza leftovers throughout the week were still tasty. My server and the server who brought my food both recommended the buffalo chicken pizza so I may have to go back to give it a try.

First time eating at bubbas on military, got some fried mozerella sticks as an appetizer and it was amazing, the misses and I both got the classic burger, she got loaded tots without bacon and I got loaded fries, her tots did come with bacon by accident but our server brought a whole new basket over to us and some sauces to try before we made our decision, shout to IRAM our sever for doing such an amazing job. The decor in here is amazing older neon signs plenty of TVS to watch games and horses races definitely a Friday/Saturday night game time vibe, everyone was supper friendly Also got the Oreo brownie dessert and god it was amazing, highly recommend

This is one of my favorite spots for burgers. Not only is thier food great, they take care of their customers no matter how busy they are. They are very accommodating, and will go out of their way to make sure you are ok. I have been to this location several times, and it is always amazing!! Would highly recommend . They have something for everyone. They also have the game playing in the background on game night. Positive vibes every time.

Came in and had a lil wait. Thankfully we had an option to go on their app to get placed on their wait list. Shortly after, we were sat and Raul came to greet. Our server allotted time for us to get situated and then took our order. We ordered bubbas pizza, Sunshine burger, Bubbas bacon cheeseburger, and nachos. Came out timely. Burgers are supposed to be medium (little bit of pink) but was medium well (still very tasty!) Maybe it was the great company making it even a greater experience. Definitely enjoyed ourselves with good laughs, food,, and drinks!

Jan 2024 Philly Cheesesteak with seasoned fries

22 Jan 2024 We got there about 4pm. By 5pm, more people were showing up. The menu is quite extensive. Burgers (the only one I saw that can be made with one patty is the classic cheeseburger; the rest are two patties, huge). Also offer pasta, pizza, salads, sandwiches, lots of choices. Also a kid menu offering nuggets and such. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and the husband had the bacon guacamole burger. Both are freakin' huge. We each took half home. The Philly was topped with four cheeses. Don't know what the four are. Ha, ha. All was tasty. The husband remarked that it looked like a Texas Roadhouse. Well guess what they are part of? Yes, Texas Roadhouse. They have a meat looking bar with lights underneath. There are TVs everywhere. I counted at least a dozen of them. I'm sure there's more because I counted a cluster of seven TVs on one wall. Marta our server, was just fine. Friendly and funny. Go there and try it.

Finally had our first visit at this new location tonight for dinner. There was no wait and our waitress (Desiree??) was great. My daughter loved the Mango Madness drink. My son and I had tea. His sweet and mine unsweetened. My husband had Coke Zero. No one ever needed to ask for a refill because she was on top of it every time. Even brought refills in to-go cups when we were done. For an appetizer, we had the combo to we had 5 boneless mild wings, crooked cheese sticks, and fried pickles. They each had their own sauce. All of them were really flavorful and cooked to perfection. Entrees included: Fish and Chips Blackened Bleu Burger Bacon Cheeseburger Classic Cheeseburger Lasagna a la carte This is my only con and it has nothing to do with the service, staff, or the food. The booth we sat at was a bit crowded for our family of 4. Just needed a few more inches of elbow room to eat so next time, we will opt for a table. This was a great first-time experience and we will be coming back!

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Woohoo! Been looking for chili cheese fries and happened upon a review for this place boasting fries with a homemade chili so we HAD TO stop in tonight. THE LOCATION: on the very end of a string of businesses in a strip mall that I've never been in before, so that was cool. Lots of parking, that'll never be an issue. And right off the 410. THE MENU: Burgers, dogs, Mexi-style munchies and a variety of frozen dessert-type items like shakes, frozen fruit concoctions and Italian ice. THE STAFF: I wasn't overwhelmed with a warm welcome and smiles, at least from the guys. Lol! They should really work on that. There was a sweet gal who ran out our food orders and she was great. THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich deluxe with tots and a sweet tea. The grilled chicken was juicy and cooked well and the bun was lovely, slightly sweet and toasted. Overall, the sandwich could've used more flavor, like a creamy bbq spread and cheddar instead of the "Swiss" cheese that tasted more like American cheese. But overall, 7/10. The tots were extra crispy and the guy who took my order didn't take heed to my request for ranch. I was too lazy to get up again so I settled for ketchup. The sweet tea was nicely sweet and fresh, I'll be sipping this in my dreams. The hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries and an Oreo cookie shake. The burger looked good and he ate it quick, so there's that. This guy can EAT so it surprised us both when he slowed down fast after eating that burger. Lol! He kept saying how filling it was, but then he also killed a large shake before the food arrived, so there's that. He ate most of his chili cheese fries, leaving me a few bites to sample. Not bad. I order a Coco Haven frozen dessert to go and omg is this thing delightful! Vanilla ice cream and coconut Italian ice (?) with a blue snow cone-like syrup drizzled throughout. I loved the texture of what I believed to be Italian ice. Smooth and flaky, a perfect icy dessert. OVERALL: decent eatery, the hubby said we can go back (LOL!) Shockerrrrr! But I recommend the staff tries harder to make customers feel welcomed and comfortable. The next visit will be telling.

Yeah, okay, it's convenient, but by the time you pay to park (minimum of four hours, which pissed me off) and then have your tiny, overpriced burger...you gonna be mad. Do yourself a favor and fight for street parking. I walked up to the outside counter Saturday night about 7:20. Never been here. The ladies behind the counter obviously could NOT have cared less. No nice welcome...no pleasantries. Nothing said. I spoke first, asking about seating availability inside (it was chilly), and they were rude - looked at me like I was from outer space and said they didn't know. They said they didn't know in that "yeah, good luck with that...it's Saturday at 7, dumbass" kinda way. How could you not know? And if you truly didn't know, which one of them should have gone to check for me. So I went and checked myself. Turns out: plenty of seating. Returned to the chilly duo and placed my order. Ordered the Wake and Bacon burger. I also ordered a Topo Chico, which was also met with a blank "are you from this planet?" stare. How do you not have Topo Chico or something similar !? The burger was just okay. Tiny, but tasty. Fries were so salty and over-seasoned as to be almost inedible. No one checked on me after bringing me my burger. Not one time. The only reason I gave the third star: neat, dog friendly outside area which would be cool for a group outing. Probably not going back.

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. My partner and I went on a Sunday morning just after 11am and there were already people coming in to eat. It's popular for a reason! I've eaten here a few times and had a very consistently good time, but this review will be about my most recent visit. We visited on a rainy day, but luckily we were able to snag one of the inside tables, we ordered at the counter and our orders arrived very quickly. I got the Ratchet dog which is a beef dog with queso, hot Cheetos and fried jalapeños. Dogfather uses quality dogs and buns for all of their gourmet dogs. I found the Ratchet to be meaty, salty with just right amount of spice from the jalapeños. My partner got the Pop it like it's hot, but removed the jalapeños. This was good but lacking a bit of flavor, however she and I both agreed that was on her for taking the jalapeños off the dog. Both dogs were extremely tasty, and we devoured both. I also got an order of curly fries loaded with their chili and cheese. For me, these did not have to go as HARD as they did. The chili they are using at Dogfather is seriously good, with a slight tang and a good amount of spice. It thrills but does not take away from your meal with too much heat. Very tasty. My only feedback is that Dogfather needs a larger space! There's a good size outside seating area, but for times like today when it's raining people need some coverage. They're doing it right and the crowds want to come! As I have stated this is a local favorite. If you live nearby, make it a regular spot. If you live in San Antonio, do yourself a favor and make a trip over at least sometimes. If you like hot dogs you won't go wrong.

Customer service was great, and the cashier was very patient and explain everything to us. We loved the decor- which was very Godfather themed. There are a couple seat in doors, but more seating outside with umbrellas at each table. I highly recommend The Dogfather to anyone who loves hotdogs and great burgers.
