The restaurant experience is excellent however this special Thanksgiving buffet was just ok. It takes place in the hotel banquet hall and we were disappointed for the high cost there was no ham . Service could have been better, dessert was disappointing as they did not keep up with the strawberries and some simple serving utensils . This is a hidden gem on the southside. The food is absolutely delicious. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is usually empty catering towards hotel guests, however, it has served me well for business meetings. The tables are large enough for a laptop, a meal and lively discussions. The booths have high backs so there is decent privacy. There is also a bar, an outdoor patio, a Starbucks and free parking. The scenery in the hotel lobby is beautiful with water features and comfortable seating. I keep forgetting it's there because it's tucked away at Brooks but I plan on spending more time here. read more

So when I came into the restaurant there was an elderly woman who was very motherly that assisted me in getting seated. Mary was super sweet and let me know that this beautiful work of art was sitting on a plate that was hot enough to make me regret rearranging it for a picture. On to the NG. The Nitty Gritty So this place is a 5 star Hilton, so the restrooms are spotless. The steak was ordered medium, and I got it medium well. There was a balsamic glaze drizzle for decoration, but the chef added a drizzle of olive oil which pooled up. That was the o ly 2 things that were in any way imperfect. It was a very delicious steak. I was still settled in my seat savoring my steak. My hats off to the chef. I also want to say that this morning I ordered an omelet and it was perfect. So I would absolutely come back. Came here based on Yelp reviews, but didn't realize that it was within a hotel (Evidently didn't read every detail provided) Came in around 1pm Veterans Day 2022. Walking in not knowing what to expect, we walked in where we assumed the restaurant was and got greeted and seated immediately. We arrived right before the weather reported a severe thunderstorm so thought it's be cool to sit by a window looking towards the outside seating area. The husband and I were the only ones there, so it was very quiet and figured service would be spot on. Food was great. Salsa had a lil kick that builds while you continue to scoop more on your tortilla chip. The club and fries and Prime Anticuchos Chkn & Beef all delicious and full of flavor. The first service was awesome. The chicken and shrimp skillet plate was terrible. The driest chicken I've eaten my life could've been chicken jerky. The vegetables didn't have any seasoning on them for $30 plate. Had to stay at the hotel due to an ice storm so it was great when we learned it had a restaurant. Service was great. We shared the tater tots. We then ordered the tortilla soup, steak, chicken fried steak, and tacos. Food was fresh and vibrant. Prices fair and you can charge it to the room or pay for it. In the morning they offer hot breakfast for guests. No to go containers were available so we weee unable to eat due to going back to work. Highly recommend. read more

So, I have passed by this restaurant so many times and scrolled passed on yelp because I just didn't want to give it a chance. It's in the embassy hotel and I thought, eh, probably not "that" good. Well, boy was I a thousand percent wrong! Everything we ordered from the appetizer, Caribbean Tropical ceviche, to the dessert were absolutely freaking delicious! The restaurant wasn't very busy and we were seated quickly. The service was impeccable and our server, Roger was knowledgeable, courteous and had a great personality. We will be back FOR SURE!! When you can't even get the hamburger right it says a lot... This place is pretty, and that's it. The food is bland and flavorless. I ordered the burger, supposedly made of ground short rib and brisket... Turned out to be a dry brown patty with next to zero flavor and a dry and unpalatable texture. On top of that it was served at room temperature. Very disappointing. My daughter and I stopped in here on Father's Day based on yelp reviews. We're not normally on this side of town but we were looking for a restaurant that had a good variety and was not Tex-Mex. It's a hotel restaurant so it's understandable that it doesn't have crowds, but I was surprised to find almost no one here beside us. The restaurant looked very clean and spacious and had a nice atmosphere. We did have to hunt someone down to get seated because they weren't used to having customers, at least not today. However from then on we got friendly attentive service. The menu had quite a variety of items to choose from. We settled on two appetizer items which turned out to be enough for a full meal for each of us, even taking some home for later. My daughter had the street tacos with chicken and I enjoyed the roasted chicken quesadillas. Our server delivered our iced tea drinks and it didn't take too long before the food was served. They did a good job of plating and presentation. While not a gourmet restaurant, the food was solid. It was well prepared, the right temperature and delicious. Throughout our meal, Sonia, checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing OK. Like I said everything was great and we left happy. I give this 5 stars for Flexibilty and service. We did not eat in the restaurant and they were just fine serving us in the lounge area. This way we could take in the live Wednesday show. The menu is pretty extensive for a hotel menu. The food...was about 3/4 stars. However, wonderful flexible service and convenience to the rooms will bring us back. read more

Party of 8 @ 6pm on a late March Sunday evening. Restaurant was almost empty but it was spotless and inviting. The menu was well varied and the food was tasty, ample, freshly prepared, and the prices were very reasonable. Our server, Roger, was knowledgeable, personable and very efficient. The only drawback to getting 5 stars was the prime rib was only available in a cook of medium & the serving I saw was medium well and dry. After dinner coffee was freshly brewed and desserts were delicious. Cook staff came to table and inquired about our satisfaction with their product. I really do not have any complaints about it. It's a fairly nice and clean restaurant. We weren't planning on eating here since I had just got finished working out and the kids had just gotten done swimming. So we really did not look our best lol. There were no tables available at the lounge area so we ended up here. Our waiter was very nice and we like how he checked on us from time to time to make sure we were ok. I think he had fun waiting on us lol. We ordered pizza and a few desserts. Their pizza was fairly good. We didn't expect them to be big so we ordered one each for everyone lol it was fine. The prices were not bad at all. Their churos were so good. Their creme brulee was good....not the best but good enough to satisfy us for the night. Was a bit hesitant due to mixed reviews but we're glad we decided to try it for our anniversary. Very quite and quaint atmosphere. Our waitress Hannah was very pleasant and attentive. Food was amazing and fresh. Definitely recommend the flat bread as an appetizer and we enjoyed all the entrees. Hi friends, traveled here for business, was a long day so decided to have the "hotel food". Let me tell ya the bar was set low. I had not eaten all day, so I tried a little bit of everything. Had the wings, dry rub was very good, but I chalked it up to hunger, then tried the caprese salad, now you know I'm Italian, and I have to say one of the best I had! Well done, definitely get it! Next I had the special Philly cheese steak, ok not quite like Philly, but I got to tell ya, it was very good, the bread was baked fresh, the meat was seasoned and good, just perfect. So, you maybe thinking like me, was this cause I was hungry? Great question. So I tried again on day 2. Let me tell ya did not disappoint! Of course I had the caprese salad and it was amazing! This is a wonderful place on the south side. There are a variety of different foods to choose from. We ordered the Rosemary Parmesan Tots which I definitely recommend. This sauce was also great for dipping. They have a nice wine selection. Look for things on the menu with a Bee next to them it indicates things made with honey from their own beehive. read more

I've eaten here several times now and I have to say the food is a lot better than you'd expect from a hotel. Their four cheese pizza is on point and everything from the sauce to the cheeses creates this super robust flavor that just makes you sink into your chair a little bit more with each bite. Service is equally as good, although I wish they would promote their rewards program a little more (it's as simple as asking if you're a member or if you want to sign up, really) -- nothing worse than eating somewhere consistently and coming to find out you could've gotten a percentage off your check or a free XYZ for that loyalty. The prices for the portion of food are more than fair. They have an amazing Creme Bruele -- the first place I've ever had it here in SA and it definitely sets a high bar. The only major issue I had here was that the waitress bought me out a parmesan cheese shaker and as she was handing it to me she exclaimed "oh no, I bought blue cheese on accident!": (1) blue cheese does not come in a shaker (if it does, that's something new and weird); (2) what she was thinking was blue cheese was actually mold all throughout the parmesan cheese. Luckily we both caught it, but that deserves a second look across all of the shakers to ensure you're not giving guests food poisoning. read more

We went to the Mother's Day Brunch at the Nineteen 19 restaurant in the Embassy Suites at Brooks City Base. I have been to Mother's Day brunches before and have never been disappointed until now. I am not a picky person, but I will never ever go back here again. I was ok about being disappointed with the lack of choices of food, but when I got the bill and was charged a 22% gratuity along with a $10.50 alcohol tax (that was an additional $40.45, bill went from $110 to $153) I was very upset. Even the dessert was sub par. When making the reservation, we were never informed of either of these two extra "tariffs". That bit of info was not even in the fine print. read more
