The Study never fails to disappoint!…read more They have a great bourbon selection, and most are very reasonably priced! Bartenders are very knowledgeable and offer great suggestions! They don't do parties of larger than four, so it is always quaint, cozy and intimate. Great atmosphere!

Our initial visit to this establishment presented some unique circumstances. On that occasion, the…read morevenue was exceptionally busy, and the sole bartender on duty informed us he was covering for an absent colleague. Despite the staff shortage, we placed a significant order for at least ten drinks. My husband had made a reservation for 6:00 PM. However, at approximately 7:30 PM, after we had already placed our drink order, a staff member informed my husband that our table reservation was only valid for two hours. Concerned about the impending two-hour limit and the delay in receiving our drinks, which had still not arrived by 7:45 PM, we inquired with our bartender about potentially canceling our order. He reassured us, stating that other tables were available should additional patrons arrive. Our subsequent visit, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, was solely with my husband. We arrived punctually, approximately five minutes before our 7:30 PM reservation. A female bartender directed us to a small, two-person table, despite the presence of two larger, seemingly more comfortable, unoccupied tables nearby. While initially assuming these larger tables might be reserved for a bigger party, the selection felt somewhat restrictive given the availability. Our seating unfortunately placed us adjacent to another patron who was using an additional chair to prop up her footwear, which contributed to an unpleasant atmosphere. The bartender then approached our table and asked if it was our first time, to which we replied it was not. She then asked if we knew what we wanted to order. We requested a brief moment to review the menu. However, we then waited for approximately fifteen minutes for her to return. Eventually, my husband had to actively call her over to place our order. Our initial drinks arrived after another ten to fifteen minutes. Subsequently, my husband attempted to catch the bartender's attention to order another round and request water. However, she was engaged in a lengthy conversation, estimated at ten minutes, with the neighboring patron and proceeded to walk past our table without acknowledging us. This extended period of being overlooked led to considerable frustration for my husband, who then felt compelled to approach the main bar directly to place our order and obtain water from a different bartender. It was only after this that the initial female bartender finally approached our table, asking if we needed anything. Considering the relatively small size of the establishment and the fact that there were only three occupied tables at the time, the level of inattentive and delayed service was particularly disappointing and, frankly, perplexing.

Food: Interesting fusion cuisine with a focus with a focus on taste while keeping freshness and wellness in the frame. Even the cocktails have herbs and spices that balance taste and health. The happy hour bites are reasonably sized and priced. Service: excellent. Servers constantly clearing used plates, topping up water glasses and checking in on whether we needed anything else or another cocktail. I recommend checking this out. A great first date dinner place.

Note, you can ask to add salmon, chicken, or chicken sausage to anything We started with the Cilantro Coconut Guacamole, which was such a unique combo with blackberries and mesquite tortillas. We also started out by trying their soup of the day which was a Brazilian recipe and it was SO good. Fresh, comforting, and full of flavor. As far as entrees we ordered the Spice Route Beets were vibrant and flavorful. We added salmon on the side. We also ordered the Pharm Kitchari (with chicken sausage added) was wholesome and well balanced. Oh and the vanilla bean mesquite latte is sooo darn delicious. I had two and still want more. Smooth, slightly smoky, and not too sweet. If you want food that tastes clean, fresh, and delicious, this spot is a must.

Maybe even a little confusing, but I think it's all part of its charm. 100% take the recommendations from the server they know their way around that. It was a nice eclectic way of perusing through a menu that seemed like it was gonna be a disaster, but then ended up cohesively melting in your mouth, the entire journey. Such a good night, me and my friends are still raving about it!

It was a pretty small portion, especially for sharing, and nothing really stood out to justify the price. Next was the Brisket Egg Roll - 7/10. These were packed with flavor, but again, the portion left us wanting more. For our entrées, the Crispy Karaage Chicken - 8/10 was delicious. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and came in generous bite-sized pieces that were full of flavor. The TC Double Cheeseburger - 9/10 completely stole the show. It was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Paired with the crispy fries, this was easily the best thing we ordered and one I'd come back for without hesitation. The Spicy Pork Belly - 6/10 looked beautiful coming out of the kitchen and was well-garnished, but it needed more sauce to really bring everything together. On its own, the flavor was a little underwhelming. Our cocktails were recommended by our server. They were enjoyable and well-balanced without being overly sweet, but nothing that really wowed us. 6/10. The ambiance was definitely one of the highlights. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the River Walk created a cozy, intimate setting that's great for a date night. Service started off a little slow, but our server acknowledged the delay and made it right by treating us to complimentary sake, which we really appreciated. Overall, Tokyo Cowboy offers a unique dining experience with a great atmosphere. While a few dishes missed the mark, the TC Double Cheeseburger alone is worth coming back for.
