After several tries I'm giving up on the food at this restaurant and the one in midland. The food just tastes like burnt out oil. When the best part of dinner is your coke that's not a good thing. Normally we love coming to Bubba's but I have been standing here waiting for over an hour to be seated... little ridiculous... the hostess has told us we are next three times and I have watched parties for 2-5 go past us... this is the worst experience with the company if You want to eat at bubbas go to the midland franchise... way better staff and food. read more

When we entered I said "hello" the host then replied "have many" i then stated 4 people she then rudely replied "we don't have servers to attend tables so you guys can go look for yourself's what booth you want". Me and my parents then asked her "what do you mean at what time do they get here" she then said "4:30" so we just said thank you and left. Sometimes you go looking for something to eat after hours, and I've had the misfortune to wind up here a couple of times. I had pizza once and a burger another time. Neither would I ever order again or suggest to someone else. The pizza is just as bad as something you'd get from the major chains and the burger lacks the texture of real meat. The place is very, very loud, with more televisions than I cared to count. If you go to a place like this you know exactly what you're getting: huge burgers, greasy pizza, a crispy wings. For the competition in Odessa, this place beats the other bar foods in the area. Service has never been a problem for me and my friends the past few years and we've had waitress's that were actually fun every time they came to the table. Tori Table. 416/2 Bar As we sat in the bar, we waited 4-5- minutes before our server checked on us. I walk out if I don't get greeted by that time. It's an expected courtesy that I live by in any restaurant I've visited in the past 45- years. It doesn't happen very often, but I was about to leave when Tori showed up. We got our drinks quickly. We did ask for some napkins, so they had to get us some. The appetizers took 5- minutes. Very crispy fried pickles and cheese fries, and 20- minutes for the entrees. We had to ask for silverware, so they had to get some. Lots of disconnects in delivering this great food. We got our pizza with no stand, so we had to get one. After we got the pizza stand we had to ask for plates. You do use plates to eat pizza, right? Not a big deal, but it happens. Mind you it's a Saturday night 5:30 and this place is smoking with people. College ball is playing, and there are screams and a occasional loud taunt. What did you expect? Lots and lots of TVs. Just as listed on line, there's more TVs than tables.....very true. Very great! We met some friends here for dinner and the place is packed. I hate crowds because there's always bad service (and food) in especially Sports bars. Not here, under the circumstances, this place served quality food in a timely manner. This is done through good management (I never saw a manager on the floor), good servers ( Tori checked on us several times) and great cooks. It may suck to wait for food, let alone getting great tasting food quickly. You guys did pretty good. My little salad was probably the best dinner salad I've ever had. I come from a 15- year Po'boy diet, and getting our sandwich not toasted ruined the crunching sound while eating one. This is a first for me, because I eat a lot of these, I make them too. Believe me, you slice, butter and grill your hoagie roll to a golden brown of perfection. If you don't do that, you could of just used some cheap white bread. The shrimp was crunchy while well sauced and filled the bun, fresh slice of tomato, crisp lettuce, good stuff. Make sure your cooking staff is aware of this problem, because I can guarantee, after the newness wears off. Well it had to happen at some point, being in West Texas. The Odessa location has gone downhill. Very slow, inattentive service, fried pickles are fried in same oil as fish so they have that taste. Better beg for napkins and silverware when you get there or you won't be getting it. I don't recommend using the big cloth napkins because they smell like oil. Don't drink your drink too quickly because you will not get a refill. Your salad will be served after your meal. The manager could care less. Huge letdown, I guess I need to find a new place. read more

New favorite place to eat in Odessa!!! We all go every Friday for lunch and the weekends! Everything I have tried so far has been better than the menu said. I definitely recommend this place! I don't get the negative reviews, we love their food. My absolute favorite is the fish and chips. The fish is perfectly seasoned, with a slight bit of heat, flaky crust on the outside and moist on the inside. Ordered a fish basket at another establishment today for lunch, and I couldn't eat it. Place was packed when we arrived but we were seated immediately. Our server was nice and attentive and super friendly with our kids. We ordered pizza all around and everyone enjoyed it. Went on a Saturday evening early October with a small group of 11 friends. Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated outside. No room at the bar. Food was ok when we got it. Kinda pricey. But the waitresses were all rude and seemed to not give a darn about anything. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks which I gave up on and stood at the bar a few minutes waiting in the so called bar tender to acknowledge us to re-order our beer that the waitress forgot about. Had to order food twice . We were there 3 hours and it should have been 45 minutes. Had to sit outside also among smokers. The crowd was mostly millennial types. Never going back. read more

There were 4 in our party. Part of the group had to leave and never got their food because it took so long to get the corrected order back out. I've been to Bubba's at other locations and have never had a complaint but this one is not good. Every time we go there there's an issue. First we ordered nachos and what showed up was a plate of chips with a sprinkle of cheese and queso. The wings showed up in a basket swimming in grease. The wait staff in the bar is sub-par. You always have to wave someone down to get the drink they forgot or for anything else you need. When we walked in there must have been 6 hosts and not one of them said hello or asked how many? Sure wish this place lived up to the Bubba's in other locations. read more

Food was great. Service definitely needs some work. We were there for 4 hours, had appetisers, dinner and drinks. We had made multiple requests for water that we never received. We had ordered drinks and about 45 minutes after we ordered drinks (never received them), our waitress came and told us they didn't feel comfortable serving us another drink??? We did ask to speak with manager, she did come out and was under the impression that we had cashed out with our 1st server, we did not cash out. I always enjoy coming here and eating because they have such great food. However I was there with my boyfriend 2 nights ago and one of the waitresses felt the need to call my boyfriend out for quote "staring" at her. After that she proceeded to tell all of her coworkers and they all began staring at us. We were just trying to enjoy our meal and watch Selena Gomez's music video. I doubt that my boyfriend was staring at her as he was too busy criticizing Selena Gomez and her music video. However in the event that he was indeed staring at her I don't feel that it was necessary for her to call him out like that in front of all her coworkers and customers. She could have very nicely asked him to stop staring or taken care of the situation privately and professionally. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and we ended up eating our food as fast as we could so that we could leave. I understand that being a women in this society can be very scary and we really have to be careful. However I also believe that not every man is a threat. Although this experience will not keep me from returning to this restaurant, it was definitely not the best experience. read more

Our first visit was this AM about 11:30. When we arrived we were seated promptly. Our host was a young gentleman named, MC. After taking our drink orders, he returned and took our order. I explained that we would be getting the Veteran's Day special and placed our order for the Grilled Chicken Salads. MC was an exceptional host with a pleasant smile and personality that made us feel most welcome. The salads were also excellent. I was a little concerned prior to arriving as the reviews seemed very mixed, some quite pleased, others equally displeased. I'm thankful to report that was not the case for us. I would suggest one thing, however. I saw two young employees with earphones and cellphones who seemed far more interested in their technology than customer service. Since they were not our servers, that didn't present a problem for us. However, I would strongly recommend that such employees NOT be allowed to use those devices while working. It looks bad from a customer point-of-view. Work is not the place for them as they can definitely serve as a distraction. Thanks. read more
