We've been getting their pulled pork by the pound since the day they opened. It's great for parties and for any kind of family get-together. They pack it and wrap it up very well to keep in all the moisture. It always has a great smoked flavor, and it's even better the next day when reheated. I'm also a big fan of their BBQ sauces. The Rump Roaster is a great cayenne pepper based sauce (with a kick). Another favorite is their Tractor Grease sauce which is sweet and tangy. It has become a bit more commercialized now. Once upon a time, they sold their BBQ sauce in mason jars. I kind of liked that because it made it seem very authentic. Nowadays, it's a brand name sauce that is professionally packaged to sell. I think they still use wooden clothes pins to seal up the paper to-go bags, but maybe they have done away with that as well. It's all part of the hillbilly theme. They have great specials. The people who work there are always friendly. They are always reliable. It's a great place to go for BBQ. Also, if you like Texas toast then you'll definitely like their Bubba bread. Would love to give higher but very disappointed with the appetizer portion size. Not sure what warranted $9 for the corn nuggets and fried great beans. The ribs were great, pulled pork dry, brisket TOO fatty. I like a moist cut, but this was lacking in the meat department. The cashier girl was incredibly sweet and recommended the green beans... which was less than impressive. June 1 2024. Our Strawberry Ridge HOA in Valrico wanted to thank our wonderful volunteers with a luncheon. We chose Bubbaques in Brandon. From the first phone call to the food delivery, this was a 5 star experience. The food was delivered on time and hot! We served 60. Everyone loved everything! Ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket were cooked perfectly. Side dishes from the delicious beans and collards, to the coleslaw and Mac in cheese were wonderful. Great Job!! First time visiting this chain and it was very good. Above all was the service!!!!! From entering in to being patient with the "first-timers", this staff was amazing. I called to see if they were open and the young lady who answered the phone said "sure, come on in" and we did just that. The brisket and baby backs were delish!! They were prepared very well and extremely tender and the sides were....ok (needed some seasoning). Chloe, the young lady who answered my call happened to come by and check on us and we told here we'd definitely return to BubbaQue if we're in the area. First let me start with the service, the one taking the order was so charismatic, helpful and really took her time and not rushing us. She smiled the whole time and saw I was struggling to see the menu (I forgot my glasses) so gave me a paper menu. She exemplifies excellent customer service, I should have gotten her name but forgot. Honestly everyone was really helpful and courtesy. The inside is like a southern barn that you find at your old grandpas house with a bunch of collectibles, so it really fits the type of food. The ribs I had were so tender and flavorful, you don't need sauce. The okra was fresh and tasty, I really enjoyed them. And the potato salad was ok, I prefer my potatoes so be a little softer and more egg in it, only reason I took a star. But that is my preference- you may like it just fine because it wasn't bad. I'm glad I came here because I've been wanted a good bbq place that wasn't charging an arm and a leg like the other place I go that rhymes with fishin' lol And other bbq places I've tried were either not seasoned or overcooked so this is my new go to spot. read more

It's been a while since we had BubbaQue's. And we have never seen this location. As expected, the food is great. It is a bit of a different setup, where you order at the counter and they bring it to you I stead of regular table service Food is good overall. The sticky ribs are great. I like the self service drinks so no delay when you need a refill. I got several. Delaney and her crew have it all together. They came by the table multiple times to make sure we were good. And don't forget to take home some of the sauce for later. You can add it to whatever you have at home to make it better. read more

Great place for BBQ. I always get the Mother Clucker. It's chopped chicken with bbq sauce. Bacon. Onion rings and cheese on garlic toast. So yummy. Definitely fill you up. My family and I are huge Bubbaques (both the Brandon and Sun City Center locations) fans! We've been eating at mostly the Brandon location for many years and are always satisfied. We always leave happy with our meal, pleased with the customer service & friendliness of the staff and content knowing we'll be back for the same consistent service. Lately we've been getting more takeout meals from Bubbaques than dining in. I had a small hiccup the last time I ordered take out dinners for my family and casually made the comment on a Facebook post, the manager, Sinyee, saw my comment and privately messaged me that she would like to rectify my experience. We then started a dialogue where she showed her professionalism and great customer service skills by insisting she make my next order personally. I took her up on her offer and ordered several takeout meals for my family of five this afternoon. She packed our pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, onion rings and sides with love and care that you could taste! We even received peach and apple cobblers with our orders that were warm and ooey gooey deliciousness! Everything was full of smokey meaty flavor, not to be underdone by the quality of the pork and the brisket! We enjoyed the onion rings, French fries, barbecued baked beans and the fried corn (the fried corn is Mama's favorite)! We had been looking for a place to eat, and while my friend was suggesting chains, I wanted something different. I saw that Bubbaque's had quite a few cars outside, so I suggested it. I'm glad I did. Inside, the place is full of kitsch decor, very 'down home', Redneck, and hill billy. It was cute. I opted for a Combo platter of 2 items with 2 sides or a Side and a sweet ending, (which is what I got) I got pulled pork and fried shrimp with steamed broccoli and banana pudding. My friend got the Sunday Special, a half rack of ribs, with fries and a drink. The girl who took our order was also our wait person, she brought us our drinks (Unsweet tea and ice water) and our meals followed shortly after. My meal was delicious. 8 large fried shrimp, a generous portion of pulled pork and some tasty steamed broccoli. My friend's ribs were a bit dry and tough, but his fries were good, as was the home made ranch dressing he opted for. The banana pudding though? OUT OF THIS WORLD! The service was good too. I have to say I wasn't really impressed. However, I am very critical of BBQ after growing up in North Carolina. There were a few things that were very good however. The fried corn on the cob was excellent! And the people working there were great. But so far, Mission BBQ is still my go to for pulled pork in Florida. read more
