    APPLE PIE EMPANADA
    Kurt K.

I don't normally give a 5 star on my first visit...well this is a rare place. We ended up here since where we originally wanted to go was closed. GOOD FOR US it turns out. So it takes a moment to take in the menu but I knew I wanted wings so I ordered them up. Thai Chili and they were pretty darn good. Should have not had so many. My partner had a make your own burrito. Chicken fresh off the grill and it was seasoned very well. Curly Fries were pretty good...we had them without any sauces. Very good portion. The apple pie empanadas were great. Think hot apple pie.... Now why the 5th Star? The staff. We shouted up at obviously just before a shift change but they all were very friendly and engaging. Said hello when we walked in and thank you when we left (two different shift crews) Several times they asked if the food was good and if we needed anything. We asked and it seemed like they were mostly high school kids. Working and representing the brand well. I am not sure who the owner is but they have done well with this group. We will be back......

We ordered this to go. We were out and wanted to give it a try. I will try this again down the line. The to go order was kind of made upside down. The food was good. The steak was on top. There was a lot of rice. We ordered it and there was a time for pick up. It was even ready before!

The most pathetic bowl I've ever had. 2 tablespoons of chicken in a $15 bowl and barely any beans.

    "Steak" bowl.

Tiny portions. No quality control. Food was okay but I'd go elsewhere for the prices.

It's good! More Like Moe's than Chipotle but more options and add-ons than both. Mad different sauces. I got a half barbacoa half carnitas bowl. I'm a big chipotle fan but honestly this was almost as good! Definitely better than Moes. The presentation could have been better, ie turn the beans and bake them look wetter and fresher. Still, I'd come back for sure. Portion is probably about the same as chipotle, maybe a tad less.

    Hours are wrong.
    Matthew C.

I've tried three days in a row and there was not a single person inside. Finally checked the Yelp app where I learned the hours begin at 10 instead of 8. Rather upset, as my girlfriend and I were really looking forward to having the churro pancakes again, which were really delicious and fluffy. Very disappointed in the discrepancy in the posted hours. If this location at 3600 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935 opens at 10, that means they're no longer serving breakfast. I wish that breakfast was served again here.

You will not be disappointed. This is my 3rd time at Bubbakoo's. I stopped by the other day on a whim. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I let them know it was my first time in so they were aware I might need help deciding. I chose a double steak bowl to-go because that's what I usually get at chipotle. I watched as the staff member grabbed two pre-cut containers of raw diced steak and threw it on the hibachi grill. While the steak was cooking, another staff member asked me what ingredients I would like in the bowl (the list was similar to chipotle's list but had more options as far as sauces and jalapeños). I chose: Brown rice, pinto beans, one side of salsa, Corn, & pickled jalapeños. The whole container was a little larger than chipotles container. I typically buy two of the same bowls when I'm at chipotle and nothing else. I end up paying a little over $30 for the two Double steak bowls. Comparing the price at Bubbakoo's, I saved $5 or $2.5/bowl. The ingredients are fresh and I appreciate that the bowl isn't covered in red onions. That's some thing I don't enjoy at chipotle. This is now one of my favorite places

Chicken Bacon Sriracha Ranch Quesadilla (made to-go and with shredded chicken)
    Hope I.

Decided to grab something on the go and try a newer restaurant! And holy crap, this place is a must try! It's great if you're looking for a quick sit-down restaurant or if you're grabbing something to go. The restaurant inside reminds me of a Chipotle or a Moes, but with that being said the food far surpasses those two! I would say this is a fusion of Asian style and Tex-Mex cuisine based off of the menu options. I ordered the [Chicken Bacon Sriracha Ranch Quesadilla]. The biggest thing that impressed me here was the quality of the meat! They loaded this bad boy up- they did not skimp with any of their ingredients so you really can taste all the flavors. You get bites of nice big pieces of bacon (you can tell it's actually there instead of like most places who use bacon closer to bacon bits). The chicken was phenomenal, the options to have it prepared with this quesadilla is shredded, grilled or crispy - I picked shredded and would happily do so again. Very generous portions, you will not leave hungry! Another little quirky thing I appreciated was their cup style, it is a paper cup with a lid that is typically used for hot coffee! Just easier than using a straw in my opinion! Overall very impressed with my first visit can't wait to come back and try more!

    TACO SALAD
    Kristin S.

Warm welcome. So much better than chipotle in my opinion. 6 choices to start. Tacos, taco salad, bowl, burrito and 2 others I can't remember. And tons of meat choices! We both got chicken taco salads, queso, lettuce, beans, salsa, sour cream and cheese. What makes this place my go to for chipotle style food is the options! The food all taste amazing. Wish they had this restaurant more places!!! If you love chipotle then stop in and give them a chance to show you better! The service was great the guy barely broke husbands shell and wanted to remake it.

Fresh & flavorful. Clean & efficient with time & accuracy. The fried Oreos are yummy. The sauces I tried were tasty. They offer a kids menu. I normally get a veggie taco salad. The one time I got shrimp, it wasn't worth it. The prices are reasonable w/ nice portions. I really enjoy it!

    JAMAICAN JERK QUESADILLA
    Ashley W.

This fusion of cultural eats was pretty satisfying. The carnitas Keto bowl is on a bed of lettuce instead of rice (because Keto doesn't allow high carbs). The car it's was seasoned nicely and wasn't dry. The serving size was filling and I couldn't finish in one sitting. My friend enjoyed the Jamaican Jerk Quesadilla. It became a bit soggy from condensation of the packaging so the tortilla didn't retain its crispness.

However, our fried food was light and golden and tasted fine. Daughter had the small cheeseburger and fried cheese sticks, and I had the Philly Steak sandwich and onion rings. She had a root beer and I had a coke. Food was good but not outstanding. She said her burger was a half-step above something one could get at Wendy's. My Philly was a B- at best. Good but again, nothing outstanding. The real shock was the bill was $48!!! In my opinion, way too expensive for a "burger joint". Their ranch sauce service was exceptional. Thanks for a great lunch. We will be back to try the dessert- deep fried Oreos and cheesecake bites! YUM!

The burger had great flavor and a bit of char, the way a good burger should. The hot dog was exactly what you'd expect, no complaints, and the Philly was honestly excellent! It was flavorful and wrapped up neatly. There's seating if you want to eat in, but the takeout boxes are basically plates, which is super convenient if you're eating on the go or back at work. Nice little detail that made a difference. One quirky touch I wasn't expecting was the fortune cookie that comes with the meal. Definitely unexpected for this type of food, but fun. I'd love to know the story behind that if there is one. The space itself is pretty cool. They've really committed to the hero theme with comic-style art and superhero details on the ceiling. It gives the place a unique vibe. Everyone was polite, though a bit more warmth or a quick hello when you walk in would make the experience feel more welcoming. No one was at the front when I arrived, so there was a bit of an awkward pause, but not a big deal. Overall, great food, creative space, and definitely worth a visit. I'll be back.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Out of all the restaurants still in business in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area of the Space Coast, the one that has truly lasted the test of time is The Burger Inn. Located on US-1, The Burger Inn is a testament to the city's history as the restaurant was first founded back in 1952. That was a time when Melbourne was the eastern point for cattle herding in Central Florida. US-1 was still a dirt road back then. As a matter of fact, The Burger Inn is one of the five-oldest restaurants still in business in Brevard County. By age, it is the second-youngest (Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, FL is younger while Ashley's, Lone Cabbage Fish Camp, and the Old Fish House Bar & Grille are older). The age The Burger Inn shows is more a testament to its delightfully tacky charm more so than be dated. In short, their age equates to experience and wisdom that still makes them a popular choice amongst restaurant-goers anywhere, both locals and tourists alike. The Burger Inn is located on the eastside of US-1, just a little ways north of the Eau Gallie Art District, but just a little ways south of the Big Orange roadside attraction. Take note that the entrance into The Burger Inn is a "right turn only," so patrons going south will need to turn in at the light before or after The Burger Inn and take the residential roads to it. The Burger Inn, as mentioned earlier, is delightfully tacky in its charm. It has the updated design of a 1960s drive-thru diner with its bright colors of the time. Think of a lot of red and yellow, neon lights, and black-and-white checker floors. If it further helps, think of movies like Grease. The majority of seating is outdoors with stone chairs and tables which were famously used in old-school garden parks of the 1970s with their tile mosaic designs. The seating is shaded and have roll-down canvas covers to block sunlight and wind just in case. The bar area is still intact with all the old-school cookery right in front of you. But take note people were "smaller" back then so if you are bigger or taller person, sitting at the bar will be uncomfortable. This is a burger dive bar so most of your food will be of that preference. But unlike other places, they still place precedence on their classic burgers, sides, and milkshakes. You can truly attest to the rest of their menu if their basics are delicious, and I will say their regular cheeseburger, fries, and shake are more than good, but have that satisfaction from eating a good ole' fast food meal back when such was done with actual care. That doesn't mean The Burger Inn has not kept with the times. They have updated their menu to include present day offerings such as chili-cheese fries, onion rings, mozerella cheese sticks, and much more. Finally on the food, they do have a challenge in which you eat a 10-patty cheeseburger, a large order of chili-cheese fries, and a 32 oz. shake in less than 30 minutes, you will get a free t-shirt and your meal is free. If you fail, you pay $40 for the attempt (which is not bad for a price if you think about it). Actually, everything on their menu is priced decently. A burger is about $5, which is fair given inflation, but worth it when you are eating a wholesome old-fashioned burger. Probably the only Issue worth addressing is the restroom. Remember how I said the bar seems to be made for people at a time when they were smaller. The same goes for the restroom. It is literally only a single unisex room that somehow is smaller than the space in a portable potty. The toilet literally runs under the sink. Talk about a tight squeeze. Despite that minute details, I have never been disappointed eating here at The Burger Inn. They've always been consistent with their food, especially during a time when specialty groups seem to naysay on what we can or cannot eat. Ergo, I am giving them five-out-of-five stars. Definitely give The Burger Inn a chance.
