The wings here are graceful. I know it sounds strange, but they aren't oversized giants with tough meat and one note sauce. These are perfect mouthfuls of easy to hold wings that are dripping in thoughtful sauces and laced with crispy skin. They are an ode to wings. As far as wings go, I'll never eat anyone else's. Their pizza was also just as thoughtful. Most people don't put the time into creating a good dough, but Bubba D's does. You can taste the depth of flavor in their crust which is chewy with a nice crust but not tough and not doughy. It's sturdy enough to hold a solid set of toppings without flopping over (this is not a New York slice) but still supple enough to be fun. We got a 16inch and it was enormous! The toppings were surprisingly well balanced. Not too much of any one thing, not skimpy with tiny bits, just the right size to fit in your mouth and cooked well enough to be able to bite through. Wanting some wings while watching the Eagles smack down the Chiefs, we ordered 50 from Bubba D's in York. The deal was good at $44.99. The wings... eh, not great. They allowed only a three-flavor split. So we got blazin garlic, Bubba's mango bango and sweet chili. The wings were large and while we know many like a larger wings, we prefer a smaller, higher-quality wing. The wings were not crispy and appeared to have been double cooked. Flavors were also just ok. Unfortunately, nothing to warrant a return trip. read more

We used to get their wings but haven"t ate there for a few yrs .Today we tried the boneless wings and unless you like tripple breaded overdone wings I would stay clear. Ordered a hawaiin pizza and pepperoni plus a steak Stromboli, garlic knots, and jalapeño poppers. LOVED EVERYTHING! Their pizza crust is buttery & maybe a little garlic? Not sure, but it is delicious. They add the right amount of toppings so the pizza has a little bit of everything in each bite, but not so heavy that the pizza has a hard time supporting the toppings. Garlic knots are small, but you get a TON. They are about the size of the garlic/parm twists at Dominos. They use straight butter, garlic, parsley, and maybe parm or pecorino Romano? You get the point, grated cheese on top. Stromboli - perfection every time. Buttery dough, perfect amount of steak and cheese on the inside - and I love their marinara sauce. Not sure if it is home made but it's delicious. Jalapeno poppers - delicious, stuffed with a ton of cheddar cheese and the breading is perfect! It doesn't slide off! I have never seen a place disrespect their employees while under staffed. As I tried to enjoy a meal which wasn't very good! My chicken wings were burnt to hell!! There was nothing but screaming and yell from a female "manager" at employees tired to get orders together for waiting customers for pick up and seated customer who were waiting for food. Make sure you triple check your order! I ordered bone-IN wings but received boneLESS wings instead. Admittedly, I did not catch the mistake when the person on the phone read my order back to me, however it's an easy thing to mix up. I can't have the breading on the wings, so I called to ask if I could exchange them for bone-in wings. Found this place while on a "Road Trip" to nowhere and decided to try it. Ordered wings with Bubba D (Hot) sauce. They were fried well, but not the traditional Buffalo Sauce that I thought. (Guess I should have looked to see if that was an option.) Anyway... it wasn't as hot as I'd hoped, but still a very good tasting wing with plenty of meat on them. The sauce seemed a bit on the sweet side too, and although it may sound like it, I'm really not complaining. They were pretty darned good. We also decided to try the Pizza Bread as an appetizer. Their food is good. Delivery is usually slow. However, I now question how clean and organized the restaurant is. This evening they delivered a 2 liter bottle of Sierra Mist. The seal was broken and the bottle had been refilled with water. I give them credit in fixing their mistake. When the new bottle was delivered, the indvidual delivering, said they found 3 more bottles like that and blamed it on Pepsi. I really don't believe the story, and of by chance somewhere along the line it actually came to them that way, they should be checking the products coming into their establishment. read more

Husband and I went here on our 28th anniversary. Yes, we're that old. They are byob, so I brought a nice bottle of cabernet. They are probably not used to byob because they only had one wine glass, and we had to ask twice for the wine opener. No big deal, we're not pretentious. so we drank it out ot soda glasses. We ordered the Bubba hot wings as an appetizer. The wings were juicy and pretty hot, but order the super bubba hot if you like hot. You can handle it. What I like about the wings is they were really well cooked, perfectly done. We ordered a stromboli and a cheese steak with jalapeno poppers for dinner. The poppers were ok, nothing special. The cheese steak was meaty moist, and the roll was oh yea nice. The Bubba special cheesesteak with hots is yes good. great flavor, just the right amount of cheese and steak and flavor. The stromboli crust was what distinguished it from all others. It was crisp yet chewy enough to give an italian dough texture. This is hard to find outside of a big city. (York is not a big city, but that's why we love it! Love York!!!) I would have loved to try the tiramisu, but I was too stuffed from the other items. Next time maybe. This is a great place for take out or some good food on a budget. The prices were really good. It's not fancy or a great atmosphere, but our server was really nice. (Always be nice to your servers.
